I'm looking at organising a SSBB tournament in Aus (prizes to be determined)
Looking for some people to help out and hopefully we can organise something for everyone to get involved.
Obviously it would have to start small, but if we can plan it right, we can get higher numbers and better brawls.
Preferably we would start in Victoria and see from there.
If anyone has any suggestion or would like to help, please let me know.
I would like to have a travelling tournament with the state champs fighting in a round robin to a winner...as above prizes are yet to be determined and would depend upon the number of players.
Message me, comment here or email me [email protected] if you have any ideas/suggestions!

Hey there reader,
Been a looooong time since I upated here.
Lot's of stuff has happened since and I won't have space/time to write it all.
Briefly, today is my birthday (YAY!!!!!) but that's pretty much irrelevant
Went to the awesome RTOz event, met Burnie, Joel and Brandon there, good day.
Came back to my house in geelong to find it trashed, a whole thing where they tried to blame me when I wasn't home for 3 weeks.
Started a new semester of uni, easy subjects....yay!
Got a hold of Arkham City and finished it, except for some side missions
Got a hold of Halo CE: Anniversary, still going with that, might be my first 100% game ever, very excited.
Broke 10,000 GamerScore with Halo, yay!
Much much more, but I don't have time today, or this weekend really.
Serious question though. If my Druid dies in DnD, which is likely to happen with the upcoming fight, what character should I roll. Looking to avoid non-spellcasters and pure spellcasters. Initially I was going to roll a Minotaur Fighter but not sure if I want to lose my spells since they are really helpful and cool.
'Til next time!

Because that makes total sense to count down to infinity....
I'm so excited for next Saturday that I can't even focus this Saturday, it's really affecting my productivity.
So why the journal over something so obvious? Why else do I make journals, to complain ;P
Had a killer week this week, my parents left for Fiji on Monday and left me in the house all by myself until the 25th so my girlfriend and best friends have come to leave with me. That was fun, we got drunk everyday and played Halo 3, Reach & Smash Brothers non-stop....well we stopped to get more drinks. The most fun I've had in that house in a long time.
My only complaint is my unlicenced friend drove my car and nearly crashed...NEARLY being the keyword, thank goodness. So now I'm going to have to be taking the keys to every car with me when I leave the house, unfortunately.
Still can't wait until Saturday, I'm going to buy so much stuff that I won't be able to stand up with it all!!!
Plus Batman: Arkham City comes out on Wednesday and that has to be the sequel to the best Batman game ever. Really excited to play as Robin and Catwoman too!
So what are you, yes you my one reader, excited about this week (even if it's the same thing I am)

So I'm only 48 hours away from my first exam of the semster and I'm freaking out!
I haven't gone to any management classes since I handed my assignment in because he's a pompous asshole and I learned more by reading the chapters. And as for my mark for my Portal 2 based assignment? I've been advised that since I used a source that was "unrecognised" my results won't be released until November (well after my exam). That was hours of hard work just to finish Portal 2 AND write a report on it and I'm fairly sure that I know the topic I was supposed to, but I would like some clarification on what to study.
The worst part of it all? Everyone I have spoken to at my university, even this lecturer's boss, agrees he's a douchebag and shouldn't be allowed to teach.
Other than that, my final exams fall on the same day, Thursday. This means I'm going to have to pay for parking! My greatest concern, of course, is that I won't be able to afford parking and my car gets towed because Business Law I've been studying since 2005 and Marketing is all common sense. All in all...I'm FUCKED !!!
And I just found out that my boss, as a "favour" is "letting" me take time off on Friday & Saturday to recover from the exams....Great now I won't be able to afford rent for the week, as if the exams weren't stressful enough!
Finally, anyone catching the Werribee line, I noticed last night that we have the scummiest people on the trains. Not only was the train so full that people were not fitting at FLINDERS STREET there were people who wouldn't let people out so they could go home. On top of this, there was a nice old man standing next to me (I was crushed against the wall, nearly breaking my iPad and losing all my schoolwork for the last semester) and he was asking people to move, very kindly, in the reserved for people with special needs seats and people were saying no. NO! What is wrong with these people? You deserve to be fined and thrown off public transport. If he hadn't asked that would be a different story, but when he asks since he doesn't feel safe standing with so many people in case the train stops suddenly you move. I hope these people have something terrible happen to them and that they can't walk and are forced to stand on trains to see how it feels... COCKSUCKERS
Beyond that, my internet access is about to go way up from 2 days a week to 24/7 WOOOO, so keep a look out for me online playing Dead Island and Homefront until Batman comes out. Now back to work fixing computers that I fixed last week and said "Do not leave these on overnight as I need to source a new power supply that won't melt" so people left them on overnight!

Been a while,
for damn good reason, I've been in an assignment hole that I finally dug myself out of on Wednesday, now it's time for hardcore study.
Big news: I get my beast back next week! I'll post pics of my old bomb car once I get it back.
Sad news: While the RTST are at the show having a ball, I'll be stuck at this desk working away

So what's been happening this past fortnight? A fair bit actually!
I went back to classes and found half of them are empty since people hate the lecturers. So my solution to the group assignments? Play Portal 2. How does this add up you ask? Well I used GLaDOS' management (It's a management class) of Aperture Science compared to Wheatley's management style to contrast the differing views that can be taken. What did my lecturer say?
Lecturer: You can't use a video game as a study of management since....it's not a real thing.
Me: Neither is the BIG industries case study
Lectuer: But this was chosen as it has the key elements of studying and review
Me: Portal 2 is the study of the main character's actions and the review of it depending on different situations (insults vs music etc)
Lecturer: How can I prove that you aren't just making it up?
Me: How can you prove that I'm not making up a case study of BIG industries?
Lecturer: I gave it to you so I know it.
Me: You also said I can choose any format to do the assignment on, I choose Portal 2
Lectuer: If you submit a report on a video game you will get a 0 since I can't prove it's not made up
Me: Do what I did, hire the game and play it, then you can see I'm not lying
Lecturer: I don't want to waste my time
Me: How is it different from reading a 120 page reference?
Lecturer: Well I suppose it's not, but I don't like video games
Me: ....So you're going to fail me because you don't like video games
Lecturer: Yes, fine you can do that
Whoop! Later I was told that he doesn't own any gaming platform so he's going to have to buy a new one in order to review my work, but he deserves it for being an absolute ass to the international students.
So that's that, been playing Portal 2 for schoolwork, awesome game, and saving for Armageddon in October, really can't wait!
It's going to sound lame but I can't wait, not only for RvB, but hopefully the writer of the Deadpool comics will be there, which means I'll be able to get my iPad signed since I own almost every comic, digitally.
What is everyone else, yes just you, looking forward to if you're going?

Another week, another waste,
So it's been about a week since I was here to post...so let's play catch up.
I spent the last week in Geelong, with a surprise visit from the mrs! and actually did something entertaining, I saw Captain America.
In a word...Okay
I never liked Captain America as a hero since he has no real powers and works on pure luck. This was, essentially, highlighted in the movie when he makes ridiculous jumps and saving throws. There were some great effects,
especially in the dance scenes, and a few swimmy effects on the blue screens. The start of the movie had the greatest effects, in shrinking Steve Rogers to be a tiny man which if you didn't know, you couldn't tell. I hated the choice of his official helmet, it was too flat and the wings were painted on. There was a good story though, pretty cliche and obvious if you know some of the original stories. I could be bias since I'll watch anything with Tommy Lee Jones, but he stole the show, had the, in my opinion, funniest moment in the whole movie.
This was also the greatest movie going experience I've had in terms of an audience, it was me the mrs and the usher in the whole theatre. Geelong theatre is pretty small, but I was reminded of when I saw Saw 3 and it was only 3 of us which felt great to be alone in a theatre and not put up with obnoxious morons talking and trying to be funny.
Overall I would see the movie just to be caught up with this version of Captain America before The Avengers, in May 2012, and if you don't know how he gets from 1942 to the present. Also brief appearance of Colonel Nick Fury. 3/5 (4/5 if you take out my anti-Captain America bias)
Onto the next week, I'm back in Melbourne this week and I'll have internet access all week so I can do some more posting, especially about Green Lantern which I'll probably see tomorrow and try to prove Triple J wrong on their review.
Car News - My parents are heading off to SA in 5...4...3...2...NOW to pick up a motor for my car and I should be back on the roads and causing trouble by 25th
Look out for me, especially in Essendon/Pascoe Vale in my RvB hoodie wandering about.

Another Week another $150,
Or at least that's how I've started to look at it, this journal seems to have been a core of negativity recently, so I've decided every second week I'll be posting the positives of my week, the other one will still continue to be either positive or negative, no real structure on that one.
So positives this week.....
I managed to get my first assignment of the trimester in without a glitch, and was able to get it completed well before that with no distractions!
Monday night I hired Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Thursday at around 2pm I took it back having unlocked all the characters, most of the collectibles and all the alternative costumes, finished the game twice on Legendary to upgrade Nick Fury. Pretty sad but I'm running out of things to do without any of my xbox games (I moved the xbox and controllers, halfway to Geelong I realised I left the games behind)
I got to spend the night with my amazing girlfriend, no not like that you perv!, who has been a trooper throughout all of this moving and uni bullshit and has been a rock. through what has become one of the worst times I've ever had.
I turned my phone internet back on, so my email ([email protected]) is now up and running throughout the week.
this is going back 2 weeks but my Druid in D&D is Level 2 and I can now produce flames! Some bandits are gonna get seriously burned next time!
But yeah that's all the "positive" parts this fortnight , except for that one test...that was positive in the worst way.
Not really a positive, but I picked up an extra day at work with one of the full timers leaving, so I'll be able to go out and do stuff now, first in the agenda, Captain America/Green Lantern/Rise of the Planet of the Apes marathon.
Until next week my loyal read- bots!
