So the idea of a podcast has been thrown around in Let's Play community channel chats for as long as I've been active in them, and well, we finally decided to get off our lazy asses and make one. It's good to note that we are not at all affiliated with the LPC with the podcast. We just all met there and make content for the channel.

Usually for these "Introducing..." posts I like to be more detailed and actually think out what I write before writing it, but everything kind of came together so fast I'm multi-tasking writing this along with setting up a Facebook page/Twitter. So I'll leave you with this: It's good. Watch it if you have a spare hour and want to hear 4 dudes talk about dicks and making community videos.

The first episode features myself, @PhoenixFilms @SomeoneNamedGem and @TehDarkrai (who I don't know by site name, so I think that's just a dead link, lol)

Hey there! My name is Austin and I run a gaming channel called TheLoneFew and we’re looking to find some people who want to join the cast and help out with shooting some of our videos. And by ‘help out’ I literally mean all that you have to do is play a game and be entertaining. That’s it.

Mainly, we would like people with GTA V on PS4 to make videos featuring some cool maps and custom games that we, or other people have created in a Let's Play style format. We talk via Skype or Discord and each record voice on our own end and sync them up in editing, so you’ll have to be able to be able to both record audio on a computer while also playing on console. To re-iterate, not over party chat, we're in a separate Skype or Discord call. A capture card isn’t a necessity at first, but would be a plus!

The reason we’re doing this is because we have so many ideas and games that we want to act upon, but at the moment, there are only 4 of us that can play in each of these games at a time. And while that’s great for smaller individual games, it’s not as good for team games where more people = more chaos, and more chaos = more fun, and more fun = better video. Basically what we’re looking for are people to join the TLF family and can bring some kind of skill, humor or other kind of entertainment to the table.

We also take most of these GTA videos and recut them for commentary on the Let's Play Community channel, so if you want to look at is as recording our playthrough of a map to be uploaded over here and cutting it up Let's Play style, that works too, haha.

If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, feel free to add me on Skype: aclarkislost

Thanks for reading through all this nonsense!

Hey there! So this might not be the best place for this, but a good amount of these videos also end up being re-cut for the LPC, so we'll see how this goes.

Some of you might know me but, my name is Austin and in addition to doing stuff on LPC, I run a gaming channel called TheLoneFew and we’re looking to find some people who want to join the cast and help out with shooting some of our videos. • What's this? A new Rooster Teeth Machinimated Adventure?

      aclarkislost Austin

      Hey ya'll,

So it has occurred to me that I never made a journal or really any definitive piece of legislative writing since our run of Minimations ended last month. I've said some things about it here and there on reddit, YT comments, mentioned in a video or two and I even got pretty good at reciting my pre-rehearsed speel to everyone I talked to at RTX. Is that what a politician feels like? Well now I'm just thinking about Hillary Clinton getting up on the debate stage and explaining why she doesn't make partially animated videos of her idols humping the air and blowing each other. Welp, this digressed fast. As I was saying:

Straight Outta RT ended with last month's episode, and I'm going to try not to re-hash my thoughts on that again. While when I first got the news I was sad, (no shit. good detailed adjectives, Austin) the series coming to an end has lifted a load from my shoulders that at times could be... heavy? (fuck, I'm not good at words) The bottom line is that I'd sometimes find myself ripping my hair out at 3 am, meticulously scanning podcasts at 1.5x speed trying to find something--anything that we could possibly animate in GTA that wasn't already an RTAA the night before we had to send the audio in for approval. (Shout out to PickleWeevil's RTP highlight videos, they were a HUGE help!)

Part of the reason for this was that SoRT was designed specifically for RT content, not AH/FH/etc.. and that while we did a few episodes from Let's Plays/Off Topic, it was steered more toward straight up RT (I mean, that's kinda the name...) Not to say that I disagree with that. They brought us on to create that content and we were fully prepared to continue down that road, but with it's cancellation, it's opened so many doors to things in the extended RT family and beyond.

That's what this first 'season 2' episode of RTMA is: Opening that door to see what we can do and where it can go. I've always liked the episodes where the audio is basically just dialogue in a narrative rather than a retelling of a story (see Slender Joel, Organ Trail) and that's exactly what this episode is. It's taking the first AH heist, a video which I still go back to watch every few weeks, and putting it in it's own universe. This was an idea that we had back before SoRT was even a blip on the radar and it kept getting pushed back until we had access to the R* Editor, and the aforementioned only RT-related stories stopped us from pitching it for Minimations. There's that common phrase you'll hear Hollywood big-wigs say: "You do one for the fans, and you do one for yourself," and while I'm nowhere near arrogant enough to compare myself to anyone who refers to 'fans' as anything other than cooling appliances, this episode was 100% for me. I've always wanted to see this iconic moment in a cinematic, just fucking badass action movie style (there you go, better adjectives!) and so we made it. I hope you enjoy.

As for the future, like I said, because we're not limited to RT only related things anymore, you can expect a lot of more 'normal' episodes including things from AH, FH or other members of the Let's Play family. (although we still have one more 'out there' idea involving On the Spot that I want to see happen). I'd even like to move on outside of Rooster Teeth. I've heard Shane mention Game Grumps, and I personally would love to do one from Painkiller Already or Jake and Amir's 'If I Were You' Show (which don't have much overlap with RT as I've come to realize). Or even moving on to games other than GTA. We'll just have to see where the wind takes us. If you have any suggestions, feel free to message me about them, I always love reading what people what to see machinimated.

And lastly, I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who watched, liked, commented, subscribed, etc.-ed SoRT, the old RTMA and especially this new episode (including whoever posted it to reddit while I'm in the middle of this long-winded journal and stealing all my internet points!). It really means a lot that people have come back, and that people enjoy what I've made.

HOLY FUCK! 6 PARAGRAPHS, AUSTIN? SERIOUSLY? NO ONE IN THE HISTORY OF EVER HAS WANTED TO WRITE AN ESSAY, LET ALONE READ ONE FROM A RANDOM DUDE WHO BARELY PASSED HIGH-SCHOOL ENGLISH!

Well, you have a point, all-caps version of myself. I think I'll just end it there.

      Peace.

A new episode of Mistakes Were Made hit today! This one featured a slew of new visual effects that I had to tackle, including SMP's Terminator vision, the 'That 70's Show' style circle shot, and all of Demarcus' glitches. I think it all turned out pretty well, let me know what you guys think!

And of course, huge shout out to @superscuba23 , @TuxedoJericho , KyleDoesGTA and @FromShanePR for their help on the episode!

P.S. Our RTX Vlog will be out this Monday, I know it's a bit late and all the RTX-craze has died down, but it'll be worth the wait.

Episode 8 of our Call of Duty machinima series is here! The crew finally make the jump to Black Ops III, and enter the fuuuuuuuttuuuuuree! It's full of inter-equipmental love making, deadly bee swarms, surprise flame-throwers, and a whole lot of yelling. Check it out if you have a spare few minutes, I'd really appreciate it. New episodes every month!

And also huge thanks to @superscuba23 @KyleDoesGTA @FromShanePR and @TuxedoJericho for helping out and voice acting in it and many episodes to come!

Have you ever thought of documenting the process of recording an S.O.R.T. episode?

      Answered: Feb 3, 2016

Ooh! New questions feature, lol. We've thought about it back when it was RTMA, but a lot of it is actually a lot more boring than you think. A lot of "Stand there. Now hit your mic 3 times. Now turn. Okay good, hang on, let me edit that real-quick" for a few hours.

It's been a while since I've posted about my progress toward total world dominat- I... I mean...progress toward getting meaningless trophies for the act of earning other equally pointless trophies.

That being said, what a great game to come back to! That's entirely sarcasm. The first 4 hours of the game were really fun. I sat back and relaxed one Saturday morning and got all the trophies while listening to a single episode of Painkiller Already.

      Then there was Flappy Goat...

Of all the pointless difficulty spikes I've ever seen, this one surely takes the cake, devours it whole, shits it back out, covers it with chocolate frosting and serves it back to me with a side of insomnia. All the happy was drained from my face slowly over the course of the next two days of mashing the triangle button in a rhythmic, mind-numbing pattern. Jump-Jump-Jump-Jump-Jump-"Fuck you!"-Retry-Start-Jump-Jump-"What the Fuck?!"-Repeat.

@KyleDoesGTA even showed up toward the end and documented my self-inflicted torture via goat.

But eventually, I "Fuck!"-ed and "Go Die!"-ed my way to victory and saved that little goat from the tyranny of those little ladder things. Good fucking riddance Flappy Goat.

Oh wow, that was from a while ago! I was checking back every now and then to see if it went up but I guess I missed it. It turned out good. Out of curiosity, was there an issue with my video that caused it to be zoomed in like that? I haven't seen that happen before and want to make sure there isn't an issue with my hardware.
