Been forever since my last update....life (blah blah blah) work (blah blah blah) moving on....
Just finished watching @JakeHCoker on Twitch, Runescape may not be the most action packed game to stream, but it gave all the nostalgic feelz lol
With ExtraLife creeping up on us, figured I needed to get back onto the site to catch up with all you lovely people's goings ons. I never actually left the site, in fact I've probably been logged in consistently for months lol, but been just mainly here absorbing the content.
Got a promotion to a senor IT position which required a move to the DC area, so that's been fun....even after paring my possessions down as much as possible, the move to a 4th floor walk up was a bit of a chore, but I really like my new apartment, the view, the especially the area! Been too long living in the middle of nowhere, its nice to have everything so close again....and by everything I of course mean good sushi. XD
Ok, rest of the night will be spent goofing off catching up on the last few weeks of Critical Role.
Happy Sunday RT!

If they were just trolling it wouldn't bother me, because then they at least understand the truth and the purpose of the discussion is more ad hoc buyer beware towards the idea of pushing listeners to think for themselves and not just accept shit because people on tv say it; but since it actually seems they believe this, I feel its a problem.
To start off, I recognize the English language is full of adaptability and lets you bend it quite a bit in its common everyday use; its one of the reasons its such a great language for creative works and expressing ideas. So there are a lot of things it tends to be less stringent with and more flexible on....much to the chagrin of grammar hammer wielding OCD Jedi's.
There, Their, They're....meh, whatever just look at the context to figure it out.
It's, its......meh, look at the context.
You're, your, yore.....meh, study Shakespearian English, adopt a big black bird....also, context.
But this is one of the RARE times where English actually goes out of its way to give us clear rules and everything you need to say what you mean with no confusion.
Question: When is the next Thursday to occur? or When does Thursday next happen?
Answer: The nearest approaching Thursday from that moment.
Question: Well, how would you say the next next Thursday then?
Answer: The English language actually has a common and well known expression for that very thing....its called Thursday "after next"
Question: What about this Thursday?
Answer: Its a separate manner to designating time, This can refer both to the day you are currently on, or the one that proceeds it (meh, that context thing again.) This and Next are not mutually exclusive.
Again, if I thought it was in any way trolling those audience/posters that nick pick the shit out of everything, I'd be totally down for it. But as it is, they're just teaching your peers something untrue as truth. Bad science is one thing they are known for, but at least they admit quite frequently that they are in fact not scientists and if you take any science they discuss seriously, you're an idiot. They do actually kind of speak for a living, in a language that is crazy forgiving to creative people....getting some of the few straight forward rules that wrong is well......very much like Achievement Hunter. XP
Love you guys, keep the laughs coming. <3

A few quick musings before we mothball this game....
As I have mentioned previously, I think the circumstances surrounding this game merits an extended chance at refund for those that want it. Mainly due to lack of response from its makers.
Beyond that, there is a theory that I have avoided putting forth because it is a bit more "tin foil hat" and I figured we'd hear something to confirm or deny this by now anyway:
Because of the lawsuit being levied against Hello Games by another company over patent infringement of their procedural algorithm, it is very likely that Hello Games was forced to either use a greatly amended, or completely different version of procedural algorithm as the foundation for their game, which could explain the vastly different level of variety and features promised as they simply didn't have time to modify or rebuild these elements into the new/handicapped code. And with all the constant sources of bad luck and delays they made the choice to not withhold the game for another year or more in order to regroup using a new foundation.
If this is the case, it may also explain why they are keeping so silent about the issue, because some sort of non-disclosure agreement exists as part of settling their legal battles.
All that being said, if its not the game you expected (reasonable in this case) I still believe you should get a refund. But maybe.....just maybe, leave a bit of room in your considerations that forces beyond Hello Games' control play a part and that given the chance, they would have delivered with most, if not everything they had promised?

Once again, working where I work panders to the techie in me. C:
Its a remarkable device, the only negative I can muster about it so far is that the FoV is rather limited comparatively to VR devices....but for a first generation, Microsoft really knocked this one out the park!
Minecraft Let's Play!
These are just some snapshots of my minecraft lets play world
Even if it wasn't my first Con....completely sure it would still have been my best Con to date. Can't wait for next year!
