    • Upcoming trip to the USA!

      heidisapirate FallOutGirl

Hey all, long time no see!

I'm going to the USA with my best friend in late Jan/early Feb, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips/things that we should definitely check out.

We're spending some time in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Orlando, DC, and NY, so any info would be great!

Currently we have the most spare time in the Texas cities. The other places we're going are fairly touristy, so they have a lot to do, but the Texas cities are where we think we'll get the better feel of the culture.

That's about it for now, I'll be sure to update this after I come back. We've got heaps planned, so I'll have heaps to write about.

      Bye! Heidi <3

    • Australia Day holiday and Panic! At The Disco!

So over the Australia Day long weekend, my friends and I rented a house down in Torquay and had a GREAT time.

Since we were down the that way, we also went to Airey's Inlet (we saw the lighthouse from Round the Twist!), Anglesea, and Lorne.

It was so much fun, and well needed, too - though I did get quite sunburnt   on our hikes to see two waterfalls near Lorne

And then, on the Saturday I left in the afternoon, and made my way to see Panic! At The Disco, live in concert! Second time seeing them, and just as amazing  heart (even with aching legs, sunburn, and a stomachache)

I also learnt that three days after my birthday another band I love is coming to Melbourne! Tickets go on sale on Thursday, so I'm going to do all I can to try and get a ticket!

As for what is coming up; I have two more weeks of class starting this week, and then I'm a qualified baker! I think I'm going to do a day course for a barista course, too. And on the 19th of Feb I'm seeing Book of Mormon! Lots to look forward to!  grin

P.S. I'd add pictures, but I've NO idea how to.

    • Social anxiety? That's fucking fun... Not.

So a recent development - being around people is fucking scary!

I'm super lonely and have been having panic attacks, but I feel like I've fucked up too much to go to people!

I've kinda made a mess of my social life recently. I don't really feel liked or welcome, and it's just making me want to never go out to Roo Teeth things, or to things with other friends. That's probably the worst thing to do, but I'm so anxious at the moment about what people think of me and if there will be awkward moments, and it's killing me.

The last couple of days have been horrible, and I'm trying to keep myself strong, but it's not really working. And I feel too awkward to talk to any of my friends cause I was a wreck a few weeks ago and made a mess of things. So.

Might as well sleep for a hundred years or become a hermit now.

    • The good, the bad, and the ugly- a life update!

So it's been months guys. I'm not too good at keeping up with this journal. But it's helpful to remember things and put it into words.

So for the past few months I've had plenty of stuff going on. My nan was really sick. She thankfully recovered though, and I got to go visit her for the first time in a while. She had a bad strain of the flu, and we all had to wear masks, gloves, and gowns to protect ourselves. But She seemed to be more upbeat than I expected, so it was nice. I also got to see my aunty and uncle for the first time in years, which was nice.

My great aunt also died. She was 103! The last time I'd seen her was at her 100th birthday, and it'd been a while since then, but I was hit with all the memories of the times we'd go to her house. It was actually really sad - sadder than I expected. Her funeral was yesterday, but unfortunately my dad wouldn't let me go. I think he may have been really upset and didn't want me to see him cry.

I also got broken up with, but no need to go into that. Plenty of people know.

So that's covering the bad and the ugly, but there were some good times too! I've got about a month and a half left of my course, which is really exciting! I'm going to be a qualified baker soon, and then I can get a job in that field. I also got to go see Dynamo's "Seeing Is Believing" show. I'm not too sure I believe in magic, but the show was amazing.

Even more exciting... this week Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them AND Pokemon Moon comes out! I'm seeing Fantastic Beasts with my friends on Thursday, and I'm picking up Pokemon Moon on the Friday! I've been looking forward to these things for over a year and they're finally here!

Mum also decided that this Christmas we're going to go down to the beach for a week, and have Christmas with just our family. I'm not too sure how I feel - I don't like the beach much, or the heat, and I'm worried I'll run out of things to do - but it was really generous of her to book the house and pay for it. So hopefully that'll be fun.

I'm also going to be catching up with friends for a movie night soon, and catching up with some other friends for a pancake date, so that's good :)

Here's hoping that the good keeps continuing and begins to outweigh the bad or ugly.

Til next time (probably in like, 4 months?)

    • My recent adventures in buying things online:

      heidisapirate FallOutGirl

One item made it from America to Sydney in three days and has been lost since then for thirty days.

One item is supposed to arrive between today and the 4th of May and hasn't even been shipped yet.

And my final item was bought only last week but it already in Melbourne.

Wish things were consistent. Especially when these things are are time sensitive as they are needed before a certain date.

    • New Fish!

      heidisapirate FallOutGirl

I know I don't post on here very often, but I'm super excited about this. Today I got some fish! The first fish I've ever had. I got three goldfish and named them Tonks, Cedric, and Newt - after some awesome Hufflepuffs. If I get another I think I'll name it Teddy :12239896_10205430896398090_6358139293862

The white and red one is Newt (Scamander), the orange one is Cedric (Diggory), and the orange and black one is (Nymphadora) Tonks.

My cat was super interested in them.

I keep looking over at them and watch as the swim about. Hoping I can get some cool castle or something to put in the middle.

      That's it for now!

    • PAX AUS Enforcer!

      heidisapirate FallOutGirl

So this year I didn't think I'd be able to get to PAX because of the cost. It's only about $55 for one day but it's was still kinda too much. However a few weeks ago on my facebook feed a post came up about there only being a week left until you could apply for Enforcer, and I though "what the hell?!"

So I applied, and this morning I woke up to an email saying I got enforcer! I'm actually quite excited by it now! I'm glad I get to go to PAX and see my friends on my breaks and have fun :D

I may even get the chance to see the RT staff for a quick photo if I'm lucky *fingers crossed* - though I'm sure I'll see them elsewhere with Roo Teeth if I don't.

      That's it for now!

    • Sleeping patterns!

      heidisapirate FallOutGirl

Recently, I've been having a LOT of trouble sleeping at normal times. Or well, a lot of trouble sleeping at my normal times (because they were already pretty bad.

I even reached a point where I was awake all night until about 10am, and then slept through until 7pm.

The funny thing is, I'd feel refreshed. I'd feel no urge to take naps and never felt tired. Now my sleeping pattern is back to my normal state, and no matter how much sleep I get I feel tired without taking a nap during the day. If I don't take a nap and make it til night time... then I am wide awake until about 2-3am.

I think my body is just hard wired to stay up at night and sleep during the day. Weird. Trying to fix it, but who knows how that will go.

Hope you enjoyed my short update - been trying to add in some short ones between my essay ones...

Hey, thanks for accepting the add :)
I gotta say, the little pictures and videos that you put in the LPs are pretty freaking funny.
