I am currently having trouble with renting movies. All the Blockbusters in my area closed on Christmas Day (which explains why service was getting worse), so I decided to start renting my movies from redbox. Everything worked great for a while, until I upgraded to Bluray.
I've tries to rent MI: Ghost Protocol twice. The first time the disc was scratched. I called their support number and they gave me some free rental codes. I tried to rent it a second time from a different kiosk. This time the disc was so badly covered in greasy fingerprints that I couldn't get it clean enough to play.
I really want to see this movie, but I don't necessarily want to own it. Netflix's lack of new content on their streaming movies, and their high rental by mail prices don't make that an enticing option. There is a smaller rental chain across town I could also try. Are there other options I'm not considering? Which direction should I take?
