      omnipotent and omniscient

I think this is the main problem I have with the idea of a god. the god of the bible is always said to be all knowing and all powerful. if that's the case why did he bother making the universe. if he is omnipotent the the task would seem mundane to such a being, but if he wasn't all powerful at least there is some challenge to the whole thing.
and as for omniscient, if god is all knowing then he already know how it will all play out, but if he wasn't all knowing then there is reason to creating the universe to find out what happens.
I think the Greeks had it right with there gods, who where just as flawed as humans, in that they had emotions and acted on the, such as rage and jealousy. but then the Christian god is said to be a jealous god in the bible. why would a supposedly perfect being feel jealousy over our, mere humans, actions.
at least a flawed deity is reasonable, but this whole "perfect god" just doesn't seem tangible, especially when physics tells us nothing is perfect, and its because of this that we, and everything in the universe exist at all, because of tiny imperfections like there being more matter then anti-matter, or the matter not being perfectly even in its spacing from each other so that matter could collect and form stars via gravity.
so nothing is perfect, not even god, if he actually exists.

      and just for a laugh....

      im alive

for anyone who was wondering, no im not dead, nor was I abducted by aliens or experimented on by the CIA. I've just been, well first my computer broke, and as im skint it took me a while to get funds, then ive been changing medication ALOT recently which has really been screwing with my sleeping pattern. but over the last few weeks ive been trying to get on here bit by bit. man I missed alot lol. but yer i hope to be on now at least a few days a week, but trust me I am really doped up by 6pm on these new meds :) good old legal highs. but when im on planet earth ill stop by for a chat.

      my brain no work

man you don't realise how good, or important, sleep is until your not getting it. lately ive only been sleeping every other day, and when I do sleep its for only 2-4 hours. and this week i went 3 days without sleep, man that was shitty. but when I crashed I got a good 9 hours sleep. but at the moment its currently 8:45am and I haven't slept yet so that's another night. i think in the last 2 weeks ive stayed awake 9 nights out of 14. and add to that really bad headaches, which means lots of painkillers :), and once again im out of smokes. fucking job centre keeps fucking up and paying us late so we have no money when bills go out, which means......bank charges! so no money for personal stuff. ¬_¬.

      anywho for a laugh.

      brutal legend is awesome

so i just completed brutal legend of normal difficulty, and its an awesome game, the story is great, its real fun to play, and has a great sound track. but now i have a decision to make. do I try and find all of the collectables on this saved game where i have over half the serpents, all of the motor forges and solos and 70% of the songs unlocked or do i start a new game on brutal difficulty and try to get 100% on that? let me know what ya think.
oh yer and MW2 on veteran seemed kind of easier then COD4 on veteran. well in some parts anyway, some levels where hard but others where well easy. now i just got to convince my mate to get off world of warcraft long enough to play spec ops with me, because as much as i love my wife, she not very good, and i don't have gold to play with other people. :(

      flaw in the perfect deity

so ive been thinking, a lot of theist say their deity is perfect because he is all knowing and all powerful. but there is a slight locical problem with that.
If god is all knowing he already knows what he is going to do in the future, and if that is so then he cannot change the outcome as it is set with fate, and if god cannot change hes own actions hes not all powerful.
on the flip side if he is all powerful and can do anything and change hes mind then he cannot be all knowing as having the free will to change your actions would go against any premonition of the future and fate cannot be a playing part.
therefore god can be either all powerful OR all knowing, but not both.
And i know some theist will probably say that god doesn't have to obey the rules of the universe, but if he exists and acts with in the universe then he does. the only way he could not obey the rules of the universe is for him to be fictional.

let me know what you all think about it.

its not that we hate Christianity, or at least no more then all religions, its just a 3rd of the worlds population are Christian, in one denomination or other. so we talk about Christians more as although they may not always be the worst, they make up the majority or religious people in most of the western world. if I lived in Iraq or another eastern, Muslim dominated country then Islam would be my main focus, if I wasn't beheaded for expressing my views. people in Africa don't moan about American stock exchange as its not effecting them directly, they have more important concerns like drought, famine and AIDS. the problems that effect you are always the ones you complain about most, its not that I hate Christianity more then any other religions, just comes down to the fact that in my town their is 1 mosque, no synagogues, but over 20 churches. hope this helps.

Poor people, most don't realize the absurdity of an ultimate being...they want to believe so much that they can't comprehend a life without "meaning", I say meaning like life after death, someone looking out for them etc.

Yeah I really like Lamb of God. Sure, there's a few songs that I don't necessarily like where it's coming from, but they're the best at the type of music they do. Wrath is one of the best albums I own and Choke Sermon is slowly becoming my favorite song by them.

I'm a huge Tool fan, I've seen them twice in concert and I like Pantera, Slipknot, Metallica, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and just a very few Slayer songs... not too many though smiley8.gif . On the flip side I love to listen to Kings of Leon (I'm proud to say I've been a fan for longer than they have been popular), Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, and even country music like Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, and George Strait.

I have a wide taste in music because that doesn't even include the Christian music I listen to when I'm not getting my mind blown by Master of Puppets. Is it odd that my favorite Metallica song is Dyer's Eve, by the way?
