      SOLD!

I posted my Ninja 250 for sale on Craigslist today, at about 5:00 PM. I had 5 calls about it this evening, 2 people stopped by to look at it. The second guy offered me my asking price after sitting on it for about 5 seconds. He just took the MSF course a few weeks ago and this will be his first bike.

So I got $2,000 for it. We did the title and bill of sale stuff. He is going to pick up the bike tomorrow though since he lives in Nebraska City. He needs to bring somebody with him - he was by himself tonight. Before we finalized the deal completely he handed me the cash and asked if he could take it around the block. I said sure, since I had the cash in my hand, and told him if he laid it down, he would definitely be buying it :) Definitely is new to riding, and was pretty clumsy and unsure, but I suppose we all started out that way somewhat.

I'm happy to have that pretty much over and done with, and especially so painlessly. But I will be a little sad to see it go, since it was my first bike. And I really enjoyed riding it for the most part, I was just ready for something bigger.

So after the ad only being online for about 4 hours, it was sold and I got my asking price. I took it off Craigslist so hopefully I won't get too many more calls about it.

      2003 Kawasaki Ninja 250

2003 Kawasaki Ninja 250 motorcycle for sale. Runs great, looks good. I am the third owner. Makes a great beginner bike. Gets about 60 to 70 MPG in town. Light weight, very easy to handle.

Front tire is 1.5 years old, rear is original. Just changed the oil and oil filter this spring, used fully synthetic oil. First owner dropped the bike on the right side while standing still, some scratching on the fairing. Otherwise, it looks great. Runs perfectly, no mechanical problems.

Includes cover and saddle bags. Has about 9,100 miles on it currently. I've done all the regular maintenance on it myself, taken care of it really well, never dropped or wrecked by me.

Let me know if you are interested. This is located in Lincoln, NE.

      2007 BMW F650GS

I just bought a new motorcycle yesterday. I've been wanting one of these for a couple years now. An ad appeared on Craigslist for one up in Omaha, so I drove up there with my dad yesterday morning and looked at it. Offered the guy selling it $6,600.00 for it, and he agreed. They sell for $7,100 new, and he had 2 factory installed options that probably made it more like $8,000. The add-ons are heated grips (going to be awesome in the winter) and ABS brakes (very nice safety feature, and really expensive). The bike is fuel injected, so I don't have to mess around with a choke on cold days like on my old carbureted bike. My old bike (which I will be selling soon) has a 250cc parallel twin cylinder engine. The new one has a 650cc single cylinder engine. It is a really fun bike to ride, and can even go off-road.

      Kelly's Kids

My absence here recently is largely due to the business my wife and I are starting. We just opened a childcare center on Monday. The building is brand new, we designed it. It has been an absolutely crazy few months. I'm still working at my normal job, so that means I've been working a full day at one job, then spending all of my evenings and weekends at the center. All of our extremely hard work had paid off though. The center looks great, the kids love it, and things are going well.

Please check out our website at www.kellyskidsldc.com. I just redesigned the entire site. I am still working on the photo gallery - we used to have construction photos on the old site and they will be going back up soon, along with additional pictures. Let me know what you think of the site. It is still a bit of a work in progress.

      Ludwig Rocker Drumset, $400

Ludwig Rocker Drumset, made in the early 1990s. The shells are all in good shape, only a few very minor cosmetic flaws from being hauled around to gigs, but they aren't noticeable from more than a couple feet away. The tom heads could all stand to be changed, the bass head is relatively new. The drum measurements are as follows:

      High tom: 11x12
      Medium tom: 12x13
      Floor tom: 16x16
      Bass drum: 16x22

I'm selling the 3 toms, bass drum, hi-hat stand, ride cymbal stand, crash cymbal stand, and snare stand. Please note that a bass drum pedal, snare drum, nor any cymbals are included. Only exactly what is pictured as far as the drums go. Also included but not pictured are soft cases for all 4 drums that are exactly sized for each drum.

This is for local pickup only. Willing to deliver anywhere within Lancaster County for $10 fee, free delivery for within Lincoln city limits.

Please contact me if you would like to come take a look at this drumset. I've owned it for over 10 years, and it is still a great set. It has been well taken care of, and would make a great set for someone learning to play drums.

I hadn't heard your parents were moving. You staying in Wayne?

I will be staying at Wayne State College. I'll be in Norfolk for the rest of the summer, then staying in the dorms in Wayne except for long breaks (Christmas and summer, if I don't take summer classes), during which I will go to Arkansas. My only concern as of now is shorter breaks (three-day-long Thanksgiving break, Easter break, etc.) because it's not worth going all the way to Arkansas, and it costs money to stay in the dorms. So I dunno what'll happen over those times, but I'm not really worried. Worst comes to worst, I'll ask my roommate or someone if I can go home with them.

I hate that ASCII drawings don't work here, because I totally just drew the winning picture. It looks fine in the comment box, but when previewed the spacing gets completely erased. I give up.

I saw that you had left this comment on wizardmon5's journal, and I thought I'd let you know how to fix it.

First, completely create whatever picture want to with all the proper characters and spacing.
Then, figure out how many actual "spaces" there are in each blank area, and replace them with the same amount of lower-case t's. I pick t because it seems to be the closest to the same width as a space.
Then, make color tags around all the t's using the color code f4f4f4, which would look like <color=f4f4f4>ttttttt</color>, but with brackets instead of carrots.

Your stalker punched you in the face? Isn't that the opposite of what a stalker is supposed to want?

Not really. Don't most stalkers want to, like, flay your skin and wear it as a coat? That is also detrimental to the target.

Anyway, I think I pissed her off somehow.

Actually, my parents are talking about giving me a couple hundred toward a laptop, so I may end up getting one from Newegg or some such business. Since you won't be doing anything until after New Year's anyway, I'll let you know what's up whenever I get it figured out. (If that's cool.)

Also, have you watched the Futurama movie yet? I'm curious how it is.

    • wizardmon5

Okay, so I have dollars now.

How much did you say a laptop would be? And, if you put it on eBay and I quickly purchase it (do I have to bid, or can we do buy it now?), can I drive down and pick it up some time? I figure that'd save us both on shipping.

Also, any chance you can give me a quick rundown on specs again? Out of curiosity.

See, my aunt actually got me a really, really crappy laptop for Christmas, but it's a bit crappier than I was intending, and it doesn't have one of my only two requirements (wireless functionality).

      Alrighty, sounds good.

Do you know around when it will be? Like, this week? Next month? I probably won't have enough money until post-Christmas, so I'm just curious if I need to bother worrying about it. =P

    • wizardmon5

I see how it is. =P

Well if you guys do get to posting those on eBay, let me know. Will it be Buy It Now or a bidding deal? I was never much for the bidding, due to constantly being outbid at the last second.

Yeah I would definitely keep the option to let her fiance know about her messing around if she keeps bugging you. Doesn't sound like a very smart person to me.

      Seriously!

I'm not sure why she doesn't like me, but she has to know I'm aware that she's cheating on her fiancee. And, normally I'm not one to take things to the next level (her annoying me, me ruining her relationship), but I feel sorry for her fiancee, so I wouldn't feel guilty at all if I told him.

I guess it depends on whether or not she keeps doing things with Tim (which, I'm not sure if I made it clear, but is pissing him off as well, because she's basically toying with him at this point), and whether or not she keeps annoying me.
