Anyone else in the beta currently? I never really played LoL, HoN or dota1, but I think it is fun so far

A few days ago, my house mates and I have been having connectivity trouble. I have called comcast several times to troubleshoot the issue. The last person I was in contact with was somewhat helpful, suggesting the modem could be faulty. I have power cycled (doesn't work) and tried connecting via the router and modem. I ran some tests through M lab.

The slowest link in the end-to-end path is a 10 Mbps Ethernet subnet
Information: Other network traffic is congesting the link
No matter where I connected from (even house mate computers) the 10 Mbps Ethernet subnet seemed to be the limiting factor. First of all, what exactly is an Ethernet subnet. Also, would a bad modem be the cause? The download speeds are normal but upload speeds are sub par. Worse, Online gaming is impossible at the moment (we all play online through PC). To give a description, the game would freeze and a second or two later, I would teleport twenty feet away. Any input is appreciated.
I have been here for a good 5 years, and I have loved the different things the site has done to encourage the community to "network". I like the Xbox Live tags, as it brings us closer together as a gaming community. My idea, or rather question, is there a possibility of seeing Steam ID support on the website? It would be cool to see not only what people play on Live, but Steam.
Please feel free to share feedback.
I used to own an Xbox back in the day and play Halo. I liked being able to look at RvB members and their profiles to see if I have played with them, or if we could play together. This Steam ID idea would be a way to relate with others in the community, about gaming.

procrastination is like masturbation: it is fun while it lasts, but once the fun ends, you realize that you have fucked yourself
