Back from an adventureSo I got back from an adventure a while ago and I finally got time to posting about it. My father and I went to the U.K to visit my brother, an artist studying at Edinburgh University in Scotland. We had to take 2 plane rides. One from the USA to Iceland then from Iceland to the UK. I was in Iceland twice once on the way to the UK and the way back to the USA and all I saw of Iceland was the airport but the best thing I saw was a ground crew member ride the luggage machine up into the planes cargo bay. I got to ride the Underground and a double decked bus, the bus was free since the Underground had some construction work going on and had to get people from one station to an other. Meet my bro...
Meet my brother in London and went over the fact bathrooms cost 30p to use, we made it through 3 days in London with out having to pay for a bathroom. I also got to see the Metropolitan Police at work due to a dine and dash I saw, memo to self always pay for meals all the time no exceptions. I got to see the Tate British and Modern, National Gallery, Big Ben,Hyde Park the London Eye and Tower of London. Our Guide at the Tower of London was awesome He was a Yeoman/Beef Eater, turns out to be a Beef Eater you had to server 22 years in Royal armed forces be the rank of Sargent or higher and 3 citations I can't remember what they were. Our guided spent 27 years in the RAF. When starting the tour he asked everyone where they were from when he he got US people he said "All this history could have been yours if you had paid your takes on time", at the end of the tour I asked him :How much do we own if we want back in the empire" this got a laugh out of him. Turns out the Royal Guard the guys with the red coats and bear skin hats are at the Tower as well. I got to see them change the guard and walk around the grounds when ever anyone got in there way they would say "MAKE WAY FOR THE QUEENS GUARD". Then it was on to Scotland my dad rented a car and drove us around and I am happy to say he only went to wrong way once in the parking lot. In Scotland I got to see the Commando Monument, Sterling Castle and some of the places Trainspotting was filmed. All in all it was a good vacation and I will post some pics in my image section soon.
