Not as important as Frodo losing it but...So my dad lost his wedding band about 2 months ago.
He (and I) kind of assumed that someone at his work stole it, specifically one creep of a living being.
To interject in my own story, this creep confessed to our lunch table (I worked at the same place over the summer, and had the past five years) that he had given sleeping pills to the mother of his child (as he ever so affectionately called her) as they drove back from Florida. Oh wait, not gave, but slipped into her food so she wouldn't talk on the ride back!
I did not give the creep the benefit of the doubt after that.
Anyhow, it seemed very likely that he had stolen it.
...
"Want to see a magic trick?" (luckily for him, I did not inform him that a trick is something whores do for money)
And magically the ring appears...from his sweat pants, two months later.
Oh my dad.
