What a year it has been
I have to say its been a hell of a year for me. And the reason why I paused to think about this last year is that on this coming Monday I am turning 23. Thats right its my birthday Monday, oh yay. I'm sorry that I'm not a lil more entergetic about my own birthday but its been one hell of a year.

Lets see where to begin.
Since last year I finished College just barely but at least I got my degree and I'm done with school with no debt. Which is a hell of a accomplishment in this country. After that I moved home and started the job search for something in my field of course my profession is all about the portfolio along with what you can program these days (So yea its been hard to find work). But I found something temporary so that I could save up while continuing my job hunt. Well three months later I finally found something and the week that I find that I got the job I get laid off from the other.
Talk about timing. I was happy that I finally found something in my field so that I can finally get some experience. Well I was working at a copy shop. And I was getting dicked around there. Those people were just using me, I was getting shit pay and no benefits. It was a horrible job. So after being there for three months I get fired for a bullshit reason. "You haven't progress far enough in the time you've been here," which is exactly what they said. Alright I'm sorry that you feel that way but hey I was only there for 3 months what do you want me to do run the store all by myself (which is exactly what they wanted me to do for a week at a time).
So at least I had my part time job that kept me afloat until I finally scored the greatest job I have ever had at Microsoft working through Volt as a Game Tester. A great way to talk to developers and artist to figure out what I need to focus on so that I can get a job later on as a concept game artist. Good hours, fun people, and Benefits. The key thing. So I'm doing this job for about a month and a half and I get told I'm going to be assigned to a new game. Which is fine by me seeing that I was going to be put on Halo Wars. So the night before all of us are going to start testing it, oh yea the studio e-mails all of our bosses and tells them that their going to push back the release date. So what happened to all of us oh yea we all get laid off. Which sucks because its just the luck of the draw on that, but still it would have been nice to kept that job (which I'll be getting back in Feb).
But yea for the past month now I have been without work and looking like mad to find something within my field and all I have been getting is nos. You don't have enough experience, You portfolio is not strong enough, You don't fit our needs. I'm sick of this shit why can't things just work out for me dammit.

But hey theres oh so much more but thats for tomorrow.
