WARNING! CARRY ON READING OR ELSE YOU WILL DIE, even if you only looked at the word warning! Once there was a little girl named Clarissa. She was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental hospital because she killed her mom and dad. She got so bad that she went to kill all the staff in the hospital, so the More-government decided that the best idea was to get rid of her so they set up a special room to kill her as humane as possible, but it went wrong the machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died. Now every week on the day of her death, she returns to the person that reads this letter, on a Monday night at 12:00a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. Apparently, if you copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes, u will have the best day of ur life tomorrow. U will either get kissed or asked out. If u break this chain, u will see a little dead girl in your room. In 53 mins someone will say I love you or I'm sorry

I feel like the Director trusted Wash the most. He implanted his own memory into his head. Even if they aren't technically "up to date", he gave Wash all of his memories of Allison (Tex) and who knows what else. I don't know if they thought of that when they wrote it, but it seems like it would be a tough decision to give someone else your own memories.

Tex is the Beta, or rather the Director's emotional baggage that took on a personality of her own when Alpha was created.

I don't think they ever say whether Carolina was aware that Tex was created from her mother's memory or not.

So that means her obsession can be interpreted in 2 ways (that I can think of):

A - (Unaware) - Her father (the Director) is obviously very hard to please and is very cold and critical towards her, so she wants to be #1 to earn his respect, so she needs to beat Tex (the Director's favorite).

B - (Aware) - She knows Tex is just a memory of her mother yet the Director is (knowingly) obsessed with her. Seeing as Carolina adored her mother (she speaks of her very fondly in Ep.22) she would consider the "replacement" an insult to her mother so the obsession to beat Tex is more out of revenge for her mother.

@Sparlan300 (Sorry I'm late) But if what you're saying is true, then that means Carolina would have to have known that Tex was a full AI and also the shadow of her mother seeing as Church refers to her only as "Tex" and not Allison. But... Carolina doesn't know. She just thinks that Tex is another Freelancer with a very angry and very powerful AI fragment.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but that's where I stand.
