DCI (Drum Core International for those who don't know) is one of the best things that I have ever seen. I check the archive and I found nothing on DCI. I thought something this great should have its own thread.

    I just attened this show.

(DCI) SPIRIT of America, Oxford, AL
    July 18, 2005
    Place Corps Score
    1 Madison Scouts 86.550
    2 Bluecoats 85.450
    3 Boston Crusaders 83.100
    4 Spirit from JSU 78.000
    5 Southwind 73.450
    6 The Magic 71.200
    1 Teal Sound 72.500
    2 Memphis Sound 71.850
    Senior Corps
    1 CorpsVets, Sr. 63.100

I am on my high schools drum line, and I just wanted to know how many more poeple out there like DCI like me.

If you want to see a show, but live to far away, ESPN2 will be airing a two hour special of the DCI 2005 Championships on Sept. 6, 2005, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m

A guy from a DC team in Edmonton, Alberta came in and talked to our Jazz Band one morning about joining their team.
As interesting as it sounded, it was first thing in the morning, and he was speaking to a high school jazz ensemble.
Needless to say, it looked pretty cool, but none of us are persuing it.
Percussion all the way, though! Brass is better, but drums are awesome.

I'm a percussionist, and from what I saw the other day. I was just blown away by some of the brass players. I did find it ood that when we were walking back to our bus there was a drum line that played next to last in compatition all standing in boxer shorts and practicing.

DCI does rule, but if you like it and havent seen blast! you aint seen nothing yet. The best way to describe blast! would be as indoor drum corp or stomp with real instruments. i dont know if its still on tour or not but you can buy video's of it, and i would recomend that you do. at one point in the show this dude does a snare solo with one of the sticks held between his uper lip and nose.

I've seen Blast and I have Battery Battle downloaded on my computer. Our drumline is starting a Winter Marching Season that we are now calling Burst. It's nothing big. It is just somtthing to keep marching going year round, so we won't have to take time and get back in to the swing of things in July.

well you can watch the videos in that link, or search DCI video download on google.

Most of the drum corps have places to buy the vids on dvd off the website.
