first off, cannibal corpse suggests fucking women with knives, not men. but that's besides the point.

you just don't like it because you're sensitive.

    Hey douche bag,
Why do you have to start shit? You insecure and alone or do you have low self esteem and all you have to live for is to start shit on forums. We already know you dont like death metal, so go back into your hole and wack off to kiddy porn. When the metal revolution comes God speed Mrkoolaid37 and may the force be with you.

    Indeed it is.
    Song Title: Mrkoolaid37's tragic wreck

Early hours, open road, Mrkoolaid37 on his way home
Having enjoyed a day in the sun his encounter with gore has just begun
A homicidal fool not knowing left from right, now has the family in his sight
Trying to perceive if he's blind or insane, he steers his car into the other lane

Mrkoolaid37 was impaled on the wheel, as his skull became part of the dash
His eyeballs ejected his sight uneffected, he saw his own organs collapse
His seatbelt was useless for holding him back, it simply cut him in two
Legs were crushed, out leaked pus as his spinal cord took off and flew

Mrkoolaid37 left slowly dying now, arteries gushing blood
Now it's time to feed on flesh, the gore has just begun

(Parts of the song shredded humans by Cannibal Corpse)

I'm not that into CC, they've kinda become a cliche.

To tell you the truth I dont pay attention to what any death metal band sings about. I listen to them because I like the music not the lyrics. And mostly the vocals and drums.

Absu, Carcass, Cryptopsy, Death, Embalmer, Entombed, Exhumed, Fuck on the Beach, Immolation, My Dying Bride, Napalm Death, Obituary, Opeth, Today is the Day.

I agree with most of your assessments. However, My Dying Bride isn't really a Death Metal Band. They do have a few Death Metal songs (ie The Forever People), but they seem to be more of a Doom Metal band, which leans towards death on occasion. Don't get me wrong, I love MDB and have been listening to one of their newer CDs for the past couple weeks. Their DVD is pretty awesome too. Just not really Death.

In reply to whoever was speaking about Cannibal Corpse
In my opinion Cannibal Corpse is the epitome of Death Metal. They are the first death band I ever heard, and I have loved the genre since. I was enticed by the cover art on Butchered at Birth and have been obsessed ever since. I don't like Corpsegrinder nearly as much as Chris Barnes, but I also think Six Feet Under ins't very good.

Oh and I agree that Nile Kicks ASS. I saw them opening for Cannibal Corpse. And occasionally watching Headbanger's Ball has its advantages, they premiered Nile's new video on Saturday.

ok yeah I kinda agree on the My Dying Bride...they incorporate death metal stuff with a base of doom metal. And yes they still kick ass...I just reccomend it because it might get some people's attention more than other death metal bands, because they often use softer vocals and more different orchestraic instrumetnts.

if orchestraic is even a word...

I agree Bands like CC do shadow the more sophisticated more meaningful bands
I' try to get Edge of Sanity.
Also what genre would Vehemence land under?

I got into a discussion with some kid in my class about music. He said he listened to that punk, emo bullshit. I told him i listened to death metal. He starred and asked why? I told I just like the heaviness of it, the death vocals and the drumming. That was that. What make you guys want to listen to it? And how did u guys get into death metal? I myself was downloading some korn tracks when accidently downloaded a Dismember track Let theNapalm Rain. I loved them ever since.

I got into death metal because of Testament. They put out the Demonic album that many fans panned saying it was too death metal, i was like 'this shit rules, i'll have to find more of this death metal' :)
