I always find The Bronx good to drive to

'Around the Horn' is a good song of theirs I always go for when driving, The Bronx II being the best album to have on in the car, sunny day, windows down...

For long drives anywhere, I enjoy throwing in CD's from:
    Motion City Soundtrack
    Muse
    Franz Ferdinand
    Journey
    Ok Go

For the most part they're all upbeat and fun to drive to. I also find that listening to all CDs from your favorite band(s) in one trip makes it go by so much faster. I do that when I drive the three hours through back roads to school. If you want a CD that is long and filled with complex musicianship, I'd recommend Dream Theater. And if you're feeling like you want something different, Hollywood Undead is a band I'm currently obsessing over. I'm not really a huge fan of rap but their style is heavier and punk-esque.

Breaking Benjamin, 10 Years, and Rise Against are other bands that I find are good to drive to.

This going to sound weird but try Dave Matthews Band. Whenever I hear Tripping Billies I get pretty pumped in the car.
