    this sounds like a great idea, especially since my dorm pc is on a constant connection. I only wonder though, are connections encrypted? I get tons of virus/trojan/etc attacks each day and i don't need any vulnerablilities opened.

    It's not consantly connected to the internet, what happens is your computer download a chunk of data, processes it, and then gets online sends the processed data, and downloads another chunk.
