      MASS effect 2

I am creating this journal to congradulate ME 2 on its awards. You see some people are hyped up over Red Dead winning a award and congradulations, congradulations to Red Dead for winning a single award. Yeah real immpresive. Now if we are done with that, lets get back to the big boys not the p.wee games with Red Dead Redemption winning a award out of pitty's sake.

Mass Effect 2 won Best RPG of the year at the award ceremony and oh not only that but also:
So yes thats pracitcally 3 awards ME 2 has won. One of them is a video game competition but still it beat Red Dead in popularity and the game is so great that it can even match up in popularity against Star Craft and Star Craft has been around for a very long time and thus is very popular especially with Star Craft II now so i think thats very immpresive that ME 2 can match up to Starcraft and its amount of fans but the point of this journal is to congradulate ME 2 for being an amazing game and winning many awards but ME 2 has been praised my main news critiques for a while now. It has even been called:
      "The Avatar of video games"

So congradulations ME 2, you earned it

What changes would you like to see in the next installment of Bioware's epic space saga?
Post your opinions in the comments below.

      My hopes/ expectations:
Hopes: I would really like to see a longer game, and a bigger story. Just to complete the main story in KoTOR it took like 60 + hours. ME 2 took maybe 20-35+ if u just focused on main story. I would like to see more or larger hub worlds. I like illium and the citadel, but i wish I could do more. KoTOR had 9 different planets/locations (including endar spire, and star forge) and each of which was huge and its own individual story, and large terrain to explore. (Except maybe Endar spire cause that acted mainly as a tutorial.) I wish the planets felt like real planets, In ME2 all the NPCs just stand in one spot, but in KoTOR the non essential NPCs walk around the planet, and give each planet its own unique feel. I would also like to see more RPG and customize options. I wish you had more choice in deciding abilities when leveling your character. As far as companions go, I think gaining loyalty shouldn't be as simple as completing a mission. I think part of a companion's loyalty should revolve around the decisions you make. I think it would be interesting if companions could leave or try to betray you based on certain decisions you make. (This happened to a certain extent in dragon age. But I would like to see more of it.)
Expectations: I expect know its going to be epic.

BTW: in case you don't know KoTOR stands for Star wars: Knights of the Old Republic. A Bioware game that was made for the original xbox. IMO one of the greatest games of all time. Its backwards compatible (meaning it works on a 360), you can probably get it for dirt cheap because it came out like 6 years ago, and I highly recommend it to any RPG/Bioware fan. I actually just started another play through yesterday.

Soo apprently i am the new admin of this group.. Umm alrighty then =D
Ok so anyone else want to be admins of this group? In the mean time let's have some fun and have some questions like uhh so who's everyone's favorite characters in Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 (plus novels). Also which characters do you all love and romance =P
In my opinon the only real romance points, the only romance options that have a point to them are:
      and Subject Zero/ Jack

Anyways my favorite characters in the game are Garus and Tali. I love Garrus and i really really love Tali ^-^ smiley12.gif But i also love Grunt alot, almost as much as i love Garrus and i like Legion alot. I liked Joker alot in ME 2 and he was really funny. He seemed kinda booring in ME. I really want to have Liara in my squad for ME 3 because she will be an Asari commando and hell think about it. All the powers she can use with Bioware's combat system plus her haveing an assault riffle. She will be fucking epic! I didn't ever really use Samara and i didn't like her that much also

BioWare Reveal Pivotal New Female Character in the Epic Shooter RPG Mass Effect 2

Leading video game developer BioWare, a division of Electronic Arts Inc. today revealed a key new character in the upcoming and highly anticipated sci-fi fantasy Mass Effect 2. Going beyond the traditional virtual character, 'Subject Zero' joins a cast of compelling digital actors created by BioWare to further drive the emotional, human connection in Mass Effect 2's gameplay.

Subject Zero is introduced in the trailer released today by EA, and it's apparent from the start that she may be too much to handle – even for Commander Shepard. In a flurry of non-stop action showcasing her combat experience and strength Subject Zero reveals only a bit about her mysterious past, and says she's "been around, ran with gangs, wiped out some gangs." Viewers will be able to see a little bit of Subject Zero in action, as she proves with firepower and fighting maneuvers how valuable an ally she will be in Mass Effect 2.

In a keynote speech delivered to the International Conference on Intelligent Virtual Agents centered on the power of quality digital actors, Project Director Casey Hudson said, "Videogames have developed from a novel pastime into a medium with tremendous power to entertain and engage players. Compelling digital actors can bring a game world to life, and by harnessing cutting-edge technology, developers can ultimately unlock the full potential of emotionally engaging human interaction."

With an attitude to match, Subject Zero is a formidable biotic – as powerful as she is intriguing. Her detailed tattoos mark her favorite kills – "the good ones". Mystery and fascination surround this uncontrollable rebel, which will undoubtedly leave fans wanting more.

Subject Zero is the third party member to be revealed in the Mass Effect 2 universe following 'Thane', a deadly assassin and 'Grunt', an unpredictable Krogan who were introduced this summer. More details about the rest of Shepard's crew will be revealed in the coming months.

The Mass Effect trilogy is a masterful science fiction adventure set in a vast universe filled with dangerous alien life and mysterious uncharted planets. Mass Effect 2 is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 videogame and entertainment system and PC in early 2010. The new recruitment gameplay video and screenshots can be found at and

Mass Effect 2 Box Art Revealed
US, July 30, 2009 - The final box art for Mass Effect 2 was released. Come, let's take a look together.

There's definitely a bit more action this time around. We see Commander Shepard, a Krogan (Wrex?), and a female (Ashley?) charging ahead on a war-torn battleground.

Gone this time around, however, is the "Only for Xbox 360" stamp on the top. But let's not read too much into that. It's probably due to the PC version.
