      Tool

      Since my last post.

Whatever, I have some news, guys.

      Tour dates have been announced.

What's awesome for me is that I will get to see Primus for the first time (if I can make it to the show). Check out the link to the ticket sales as the Nashville show goes on sale on the 20th.

      NOW WHERE'S OUR FUCKING ALBUM

      From toolband.net

Something that might be encouraging to some Tool enthusiasts is that while riding with Danny to Chili John's yesterday, I heard a lot of new Tool music (sans Maynard). This was the most new material that I've heard so far, although a few of the riffs and arrangements were familiar. So, what did I think? Dare I say that it sounded like... Tool (some of it reminiscent to earlier Tool stuff, with other parts pushing the envelope), and I assume that it will sound even more like Tool once the vocal melodies, etc. have been added. To answer your next question, I cannot say how far along in the writing process the band is. If I had to GUESS, I would say more than half way (and keep in mind that in the past, at least, the writing went faster once the first few [more complex] songs were finished).

The part in bold eases my mind quite a bit.

According to toolband.com, this is when the new Tool album will be released.

Here's a link to a Guitar World article which includes a link to the entry on the band's Official Website.

No matter how many new Tool tunes are currently complete, I will personally guarantee that the new CD will be released on May 22, 2012 (or May 15, 2012). And unlike that old f**k rattling the shingles with his cauliflower and mini-Cheddars flatulence, my calculation is not based on some preposterous coded Biblical numerology. Instead, it comes from a credible source who, himself, obtained the information via trance-contact (which was written down on a scratch pad) from an interplanetary avatar (and sector commander) named ZEMKLA JR. from the city of Farlon on the planet Selo (in the Bernard’s Star System).

I heard this news earlier, but it apparently was in a different news article that wasn't as clear as this one. I didn't want to post anything that wasn't from a solid source, or worded too loosely.

I'm glad to hear this news, personally. After Maynard going to tour with APC and now him being on tour with Puscifer, I was getting a bit worried that he was just pushing back his flagship band. That being said, I'm excited but worried about this album. After hearing about Adam setting up a tent to meditate to help him with the album, I'm afraid that they're going to be going in the wrong direction. I, for one, LOVED 10,000 Days. Musically, it's their best accomplishment. Unfortunately, it falls short because of a lack of actual songs and the buffer tracks being uninteresting. I just hope that they can nicely combine what they've accomplished up to this point, while still moving forward.

      Time will only tell.

      Will get a treat.

This just in! A Perfect Circle has reunited for a West Coast Tour.

Unfortunately, Maynard doesn't think that their amazing band can sell out arenas since they've been away for 6 years, but I think he'll find out otherwise.

If you're close to one of the following events, you HAVE to attend.

This is what's going on, each of the venues listed they will play three nights. Each night will be a different album. So awesome. Here's the list:

      Marquee - Tempe AZ
      Avalon - LA
Showbox at the Market - Seattle
      The Fillmore - SF
      The Pearl - Vegas

Why do I have to live all the way over here in TN. Let's hope at least after he's done with this the new Tool album will be on it's way.

It's very hard to tell from some websites (I'm looking at you bestbuy.com) when the DVD/Bluray of this highly anticipated documentary will be released, but according to the always trustworthy toolband.com, we have a date!

Available now, however, is the soundtrack featuring Pucifer titled "Sound Into Blood Into Wine." The Documentary will be released Tuesday September 14th.

I will have my copy on payday and will let you guys know what I think of it. I hate that I missed the screening, but this will do just fine.
