So it would appear that I have not posted a journal in... over 5 months. Wow, didn't think it had been that long. Guess I can take a few minutes and let everyone know what's up in my life.

Well let's see, where to begin.... oh yeah, NOTHINGS CHANGED! That's what I like about my life, it's currently on auto-pilot. I just sit back and enjoy the view.

Alright, that's not entirely true, things do change on me from time to time. Not that I want them too. The biggest change going right now is that I have a new 'boss' at work. By that I mean that there is a new overnight manager, but I have no intentions of listening to anything he says.

Some of you might remember that I was the assistant manager under the last boss, and may be wondering why I wasn't chosen to take over leading the troops. There are a couple of reasons for that. First, the guy that was chosen went to the store manager almost daily bitching that he wanted to advance in the company. This is something he's done since day one.

Second, and most importantly, I didn't want to. See, the funny thing is me and this other guy (the new manager) have been treated like gods by managemnet for awhile now. We've been given so many raises that we're paid more than most of the store's staff. Some of whom have been with the company for YEARS. What this means is that the company is not exactly jumping to throw more money, or promotions, at us. In this case, they gave nothing.

So here were my options, stay where I'm at, do what I'm doing, get paid the same.

Or take on alot greater workload, take responsibility for everything that happens on the overnight, be responsable for the entire overnight staff, pile on the stress, strain my marriage, pull out my hair..... get paid the same.

I went ahead and weighed those two options against one another and came up with one conclusion... Congratulations Brian. I doubt the poor sap will last 6 months, especially with the holidays coming. Sucker.

So there it is, the only major change in my comfortable little life. There have been a few minor ones as well, like me getting more exorcise (biking) and of course new challenges with Gwen every day. A walking toddler is a dangerous toddler. So I guess I'll leave everyone with one last thing. It's a lesson I learned recently, and that is this... Nothing on the Earth reeks more that baby vomit.

Later Y'all!
