Does anyone have a link as to why any of these companies would do this? Has the price of unlimited use gone up so high that companies had to resort to this or is it just profit mongering? I'm considering asking my dad to switch from Charter (an off shoot of Time Warner the first company to enact this in Texas) to another ISP just as a boycott, but it seems other companies are thinking about making the switch too. But again, why? All it takes is one ISP to say "Hey! We'll give you unlimited access on the cheap!" to fuck it all up, so it must be out of necessity right? Help me out on this.
