Hi friends . . .

A couple weeks ago I posted a journal about my Mom. She's one of the best people I know, but unfortunately she has Multiple Sclerosis. Web MD defines MS as "a disease that affects the brain and spinal cord resulting in loss of muscle control, vision, balance, and sensation (such as numbness). With MS, the nerves of the brain and spinal cord are damaged by one's own immune system. Thus, the condition is called an autoimmune disease."

There is no cure for MS, but there is constant research into trying to find one.

THIS Saturday (April 28th) is the MS walk in my area. That sassy lady of mine will be attempting the one-mile route with her cane, Emily, if necessary.

If you're interested, and I hope you are, you can sponsor her journey! She's still shy of her goal, and it would such a blessing to get her there. Even $5 makes a world of difference.

To those of you who've already given, you touched my mom's heart (no, seriously, you made her cry. In the good way, that is!). She wanted me to send along her thanks and humble appreciation.
