Tomorrow morning at 7:55am (AEST) coolcaiti and myself will be departing the city of Sydney for a long journey to the United States of America, to attend (and volunteer at) one of the most exciting cons in the world!

Holy shit.

The last time I was out of Australia was a spur of the moment trip to New Zealand to check out RvB:NZ as well as Armageddon in Auckland (on my way home from RTOZ 2011!). All in all that trip was awesome, but something tells me that this will be a little different.

I wanted to go to RTX last year, thanks to some financial and employment constraints though, I was unable to attend. Massive sadface.
As soon as I saw all of the awesome journals and photo's that people were posting on their return from the inaugural Rooster Teeth Exhibition I made it my mission to go to the next one.
In fact, RTX was the reason I became an active member of this community.

I started being more active on the site so that when the time came to travel to another country I would hopefully know the people that I was travelling with or travelling to see.
I never could have guessed what an incredible turn my life would have taken thanks to that one tiny decision.

I moved to Sydney, got a new job, moved again, found an amazing woman to share my life with and made some of the most incredible friends anyone could ask for. I've been involved with the birth of the Australian RT fan events (the best in the world, it's been said - definitely the biggest!) . I've been lucky enough to meet some of the people that I hold in the highest regard, and I've been lucky enough to grow to love and respect this community and everyone who is a part of it.

The last 12 months of my life has been one heck of a roller-coaster - but no matter how low the lows have been, they have all been worth it. They have all led me to this moment. They have all led me to this community. They have all led me to the amazing people that I share my life with.

I guess what I was trying to say, and now know, is that words can not express my fucking excitement!

See you in Texas!
