I had the opportunity to attend RTX 2014 and the very first panel I ever saw at a convention was Monty's RWBY panel last year. The entire experience was riveting and breathtaking for me, being able to see my role models talk to thousands of fan and answer their questions while giving us special insight on never-before-seen content. Monty is an amazing human for creating something that is so cherished by himself and everyone else in the RT Community.

Monty's old gameplay videos and impressive works of animation will stick with me today and for the rest of my life as I remember what an outstanding mind and incredible work ethic he had. I can only hope that one day I will achieve as much as Monty has achieved. Not knowing him personally means I don't have much to look back on that I shared with Monty, but God knows I won't live my life with regrets and make him proud in my own ways.

Today's gonna be a hard day. An amazing man died at the age 33. Too young. I can't explain how I feel. I miss you Monty. I regret more than anything that I never got a chance to meet you, but you need to know how much of an impact you've left on me and countless others. For you, I will work my hardest to achieve my dreams just like you did. I won't stop or give up. You wouldn't want that. My thoughts and prayers go out to Monty's family, the RT Staff, and everyone in the Community who was impacted by Monty's deep, artistic, and creative footprint he left on this Earth.

Nothing will be the same without you. R.I.P Monty Oum
