According to Gamasutra, LucasArts has hired Crystal Dynamics' previous Tomb Raider creative and franchise director, Tim Longo, as creative director on an unannounced game.
In the past, Longo has worked with LucasArts on games like Star Wars: Starfighter and Jedi Starfighter as lead designer, and was creative director on Star Wars: Republic Commando. Most recently he worked on Tomb Raider: Underworld and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Anniversary. Curious to see what LucasArts has in store for its next project.
At first it said April 1st on the article, and I didn't want to get too excited for it because there have been cruel jokes in the past (scroll down). However, the date has been switched from the 1st to the 2nd, so technically it's no longer an April Fools joke.
While I don't want to get my hopes up, this is the only bit of news we've heard recently that even closely relates to a RepCom sequel, so we can consider it that light on the horizon. We can always hope, ner vode. Once we give up that hope, we'll never get that sequel.
