Goooood evening, folks!
Kind of an easy-going evening and I just got a new keyboard, so fuck it, random personal journal entry!
Hope you guys are all doing well! Things are really picking up steam in the animation department. Kerry, Gray, and the rest of the crew are all busting their butts working on RWBY3. My involvement with the show is mainly focused on the front end of the production pipeline (i.e. writing, VO recording and direction, and the occasional story board session) so now I'm at the point where I'm mainly watching the rest of the crew do what they do best. It's truly astounding. If you've got the time, be sure to tell Kerry if you've been enjoying this season. The dude has put his heart and soul into this show and he's got a lot of pressure on his shoulders. I'm sure it would make his day (just don't tell him I sent you).
As for me, I've been focusing a lot on RvB14. I am... so excited. We're gonna be working with some really outstanding people and I can't wait to fill you guys in. I also can't wait to show you three of the episodes I've cooked up. I'll tell you this, though: they're animated, they're intense, and they're not gonna be like anything you've ever seen come out of Rooster Teeth. We started pre-production this week and it's nearly all I can think about.
We've also begun work on a few new projects... buuuuut it's a little too soon to start talking about those ;)
The only times when things feel weird are when I'm at home. I'm still not entirely used to it. After the craziness that was RvB13, having free time is still... odd. Especially in an empty apartment. Stage 5 has really come to feel more like home than anywhere else. It's where my friends are, it's where I get to do cool things... my apartment is just kind of a place to recharge. It's weird. Not bad, just weird. I dunno.
All things considered, though, these are really some exciting times, and there's not a day that goes by that I don't think to myself just how fortunate I am.
Hope you guys have a good night! Until next time <3
