      - is boring. I have a few days with very little to do and very few to talk to so I figured I'd post a journal and see who, after a whole year, was still watching/caring. I'm going to guess it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 or 2, but that might be greedy.

For those of you who I regularly watch and receive the likewise, sorry for not commenting on your journals and keeping up with you. Life has not been as laid back as I'd usually like.

So just a few updates. I got my private pilot's certificate last June and have since been working on moving along to the next thing. The next thing should hopefully be accomplished this Tuesday and then I'll be working on finally becoming a commercial pilot. Honestly that's the only significant thing that sticks out in my mind over the last year. Life's been busy but not necessarily interesting. I'm sure there is more but nothing that immediately comes to mind. So anyway, how are all of you?

    • The good day

      AlazyPyromaniac

So, I know I don't usually post journals, but today I'm in a fairly good mood, so I thought I'd share why.

Day started off really slow. Woke up in the middle of the night (about 9:30am) for class. That class was boring, luckily it's all easy shit that I already know, so no worries there.

I chilled out until my next class. After this also boring class, me and my friends went outside the building we were at to see the "Major Fair" which is just something where representatives from all the colleges on campus show up and offer information on all the programs they offer, as well as toss free stuff at us. It was there that we accidentally met up with one of my friends neighbors. I'd met her before, but hadn't gotten much time to talk to her. So I used a limited time to talk to her today. She's pretty cool, smart and the such... not to mention pretty cute.

We were going to pregame with her and her roomies tonight, but we thought they were coming to my friends place, and they thought we were going there... so it never happened. Oh well, the best laid plans of mice and men etc.

After my third and final class of the day, I went on my Progress Check, which is a flight that I should have had out of the way months ago, but due to weather it never really happened. I took it once before and failed. So I took it again today, and this time passed successfully. I finally get to move on with my private pilots course, and I'm just so fucking happy about that.

After that I went to dinner and hung out with a friend I've hardly seen this year. Together we went to my friends place, the ones that live next to aforementioned girl. Had some pizza there, played some beer pong with one of the girls that lives upstairs (also ridiculously cute) and then me and 3 of my friends went out looking for parties.

We found no good parties, but on the way back from one of them, we were driving out of the "Frat Village" area when we noticed 3 good looking ladies walking on the side walk to our right. So we pulled over and rolled down my window (I was riding shotgun). We struck up some nice conversation and complimented them on the way they looked and the such when all of a sudden, my buddy Kevin, drunkenly screamed from the back seat "I WOULD DEFINITELY FUCK BOTH OF YOU". One of the girls stopped where she was, and the other immediately said, "Alright, we're out of here, see ya." I was disappointed but at the same time it was too funny to be mad about it. We ended up passing more girls but the driver didn't want to pull over in fear of Kevin scaring them away again.

After that, we made plans to go to Romulus, the town where Detroit Metro Airport is, tomorrow afternoon. So I'm gonna go chug water to avoid hangover and then hit the sack. Good night folks!

So last week, I pretty much fried my harddrive. So out I went to get a brand new harddrive, and suddenly things were up and working like normal again. Problem was, I couldn't find my nVIDA drivers disc, the one with my audio drivers, more video drivers, and some of those snappy internet drivers.

What I didn't realize, was that I'd NEED those internet drivers. You see, my d-link wireless was working at home despite not having said drivers. So, once I got to school, I expected everything to work normally with an ethernet in the wall.

      How very wrong I was.

With a friends help, I went to the motherboard producers website and downloaded the proper drivers. They are however, incredibly difficult to install manually, so I have no fucking clue what to do.

So, for now, while I try to correct this problem, I am currently bumming internet off my friends/roommates. All the while my computer sits in my room, with nothing more than a sexy desktop and a few cheap games (also a few gigs of porn). Tis a far cry from the mad internet crusing machine it once was. It's only a shell of its former self.

      This makes panda sad.

A few friends showed me this game, some of you might like it. It's really fun. Try and make some of your own contraptions, but for fun be sure to check out the ones that other people did... some of them are really creative.

Nothing else really to say here. Just thought I'd share on what I've been doing with all this fucking free time lately.

So I have to get up in the morning, but I can't sleep. I also can't think of anything productive to do in my sleeplessness. So I decided to test the spoiler tags. Thanks for your time.

Weather has been shitty.... Everywhere this last week. Fucking climate change...

Its slowing my flight progress, again.

Cubs lost today, but its okay, because it was against the Devil Rays. Yes, I know they're called just "The Rays" now, but that sounds gay, and I think the reason for the change is gay. Anyway, after finally having gotten to see them play (I've seen them play already, but I didn't think comparing them to the white sox was a very accurate measure of their abilities), and I can for sure say that they are indeed a dangerous team, and I am definitely a fan of them. I hope they take the east and beat any teams in the AL that I don't want to see in the World series. From there they can do what they want, as long as they lose to the cubs.

My friend, Michelle, and I have gotten a lot closer lately, but still no go on the relationship thing. Yes, I did use her real name, don't see any reason to hide it. I've liked her a lot for a long time, and she ALMOST, almost feels the same way. I don't know why she would hold back, but I'm going to push myself harder to move on. As I've learned more about her, I start to understand why a long distance thing between us wouldn't work, so maybe that answers some questions.

I was home the other day and dug up a story I once wrote when I was, possibly 11. Its a scifi story, and isn't half bad, but needs some serious cleanup. I'm still proud of it though. Its 30 pages handwritten... I was pretty committed at the time I suppose.

Driving between school and home more has made 2 and a half hour car drives seem like childrens play. Not sure thats a bad thing.

Since I spend most of the time at school completely bored with nothing to do, I've gotten back in the habit of working out regularly, and playing Guitar Hero. I have yet to beat GTA IV, I just don't feel like playing. I've also started heavily playing tetris, to the point where I see it when I close my eyes. Thats a bad thing.

Anyhow, sorry for the late night journal. Its a quarter to 3 here now, and I have to be up at 7:30. Hopefully tomorrow is a good day. I head back home on Thursday before the greatest work days of the year. The Cubs play the Sox at Wrigley Friday - Sunday (You can watch the Sunday night game on ESPN). I'll be working the first two before heading back to school. Those three games are THE absolute best to work, and I get two of them in. Typically I finish the day with well over $200. The following week I work the Cubs vs Sox games at US Cellular field (Again, Sunday night on ESPN), those games won't be as good, but are the best of all of the games I get to work on the south side.

      Good night everyone.

    • Update

      AlazyPyromaniac

So updates seem to be popular these days, figured I'd write my own. Been awhile after all.

My summer is going quite dully. I'm at school a lot of the time, which means pretty much just sitting around in my single dorm room watching TV and chatting with people through the amazing series of tubes. Its sad I know, but I only have 4 friends in the area, and since the only class I'm taking is flying, it hasn't given me much chance to meet new people.

Sure, I could always go into the lounge and meet the people that hang out there, but they're all either Saudi Arabian or some form of Latin/South American, meaning they don't speak English well at all. That and hanging out with them is annoying because they often talk to each other in Spanish/Arabic thereby excluding you from the conversation. Though its safe to say that a few of the latino chicks are hot as hell.

I could hang out with my 4 friends, but its hard since they don't call/answer their phones. They all have busy lives though, since 2 of them are from the area, one has a gf a job and army related stuff to go along with classes, and the other lives in a frat house.

In my free time I've started working out daily. Seems to be working too as the occasional hot chick will flash me a pretty smile and say hi. Though they could be noticing me more simply because we no longer have to bow our heads to protect from the hellish Michigan winter winds.

Also, I only fly Sunday through Wednesday. So I've taken to driving 2.5 hours back home every Wednesday night until Sunday morning to work and make a few extra bucks. With gas prices rising I'm pretty much breaking even between working and the costs of unleaded car gas and 100 low lead avgas.

Weather hasn't been very nice to me as far as flying goes though, so I have yet to make as much progress as I had hoped. Oh well, it should start to get better from here on out.

Anyway, thats all, good night, sorry its long, and GO CUBBIES!

Edit: I just realized that on more than one occasion I've gotten that avgas on my hand. Its low lead, should I be worried? Haha, never mind, nothing bad has happened yet.

Eh, I don't know, I don't find her that hot. Even with those nice DSL's she's got.

      • sphinxter

...Okay, first, I don't actually care in the least about their engagement. The only reason why I know is because it's almost impossible not to hear about when your office is 80% women. I'm perfectly fine with pretending like I care though for poops and chortles.

However, saying Angelina Jolie isn't all that hot is a ridiculous statement. I'll agree she's overrated. I'll agree Jennifer Aniston is way hotter and he should have stayed with her. However, Angelina Jolie is still a dime and would be one of the hottest chicks anyone would ever meet in real life.

If you want to, I'll find a replacement for you. It doesn't bother me though. My other league that I run has one or two that don't pay too much attention to it. Like I've always said, as long as you just don't do the draft and then do nothing for the rest of the season, I don't care. Just be somewhat active. You know, if a guy gets injured, replace him. Stuff like that. What you've been doing is fine. You'll never win sure, but every league needs their Chicago Cubs who are just there for fun. If you want out though, I'll attempt to find someone to take over.

Well, that's just stupid. It has a pretty strong connection to the events in the past and it's linked quite well.

Trilogy I believe...The Law of Nines is also supposed to be a trilogy I believe.

    • sphinxter

No, I have it though. It's one of the thirteen books I currently own that I haven't read yet. I'm still trying to finish Dark Tower #3. I just don't have the time to read like I used to. I am going to read it as soon as I'm done with #3 though. I know it's a quick read since the font is huge. They pulled every trick in the book to make it longer.

I did see that it will debut #1 on the NYT's bestseller list and that the sequel is due out next year. He also has another story that is apparently coming out sooner than expected.

    • sphinxter

Fair enough good sir. Fair enough.

    • sphinxter

That isn't anywhere close to what I said. I just stated the fact that people are stupid and that I am naturally inclined to hate every single one of them at first. I make plenty of new friends.

It's also your fault you clearly have terrible reading comprehension. It really isn't even arguing anything. It's basically agreeing with you, but pointing out that this country doesn't actually live up to the standards it claims to have.

Fine, if you happen to believe in something that .00000001% of the population believes in and that .00000001% of the population just happens to be right, then yeah, I guess it could suck. Even in that case, since it still wouldn't have any direct effect on me, I wouldn't give a rat's patooey about it.

    • sphinxter

I would drink alone constantly in my apartment since I wouldn't ever be worried about driving anywhere and I wouldn't bother meeting new people since I hate new people. New people are stupid.

I didn't say you said that. Granted, I didn't structure my sentence well, but what I said was...1) You don't actually believe what you're claiming to believe, but I guess I could be wrong. 2) What you claimed to believe in is what most people believe. 3) That believe goes against the claimed belief in that you're "guilty until proven innocent."

They have no cares no matter how you slice it. If you believe in an afterlife, you'll be in paradise or Hell either enjoying perfection or eternal damnation. If you don't believe in an afterlife, you're just dead and food for worms.

    • sphinxter

Meh, mine flat out told me that I wouldn't be able to live without them and that I would most likely become an alcoholic drinking alone wherever every night. It was a compelling argument and probably true.

No, I'm just saying your faux belief that is the actual standard in this country goes against the standard that this country is supposed to have.

That would be eliminating me as rule creator, not eliminating the position of rule creator itself. Of course, you could then eliminate the position yourself as rule creator, but seeing as I would be dead, I wouldn't care in the least.

    • sphinxter

      I know.

Nope. I would still need to be certified to teach. Ideally, I get a job so I can pay for the year long classes next year, but that doesn't seem to be working out. I wouldn't want to leave the state right now either. I'm not ready to leave my friends yet.

It's actually usually the other way around in this country, but whatever.

I would point out the obvious that only the rule creator can eliminate the position of rule creator since he is, you know, the rule creator, but I'll let you go to congress. I have my faith that it would take years before they decide on anything about it anyway.

    • sphinxter

That's fine. I wasn't expecting you to do anything nice in the first place.

Thanks...Sitting on my ass looking for a job which is proving impossible to find.

There's a difference between being skeptical and deciding to question whether every chick is a chick and every dude is a dude.

It has been established. There was never the possibility that I'm Santa. The similarities in becoming them was only pointed out. I've been rule creator for a while now. If I was Santa, I'm pretty sure I would know. I don't get fat around Christmas and I haven't had boxes sent to my house with the names of random kids I've never met. I can look at someone and decide if they've been naughty or nice though.

    • sphinxter

Yes, yes it does. If it has never been used, you certainly aren't deserving of being the first one it's used for.

      Yes, I graduated around Thanksgiving.

If you're talking about a female dog, yes, it's proper. However, you used it in a derogatory sense and didn't direct it at someone with a vagina. That was bad.

I didn't say it works exactly like the government does. Besides, you do realize that in this situation I can literally talk my way out it no matter what since it has already been established that I'm the "rule creator." Therefore, in this instance, absolutely anything I say is as good as fact.

    • sphinxter

I don't think anything is good enough for a gold platter since I've never heard of anything being placed on a gold platter.

Yeah, I won't feel so bad about not having any of them then.

False. You used a derogatory term meant for the female gender. That was rude.

That isn't true. It works like the our government does. His rules still apply unless I decide to change them. It's much easier to change them though since I'm the only one that has to approve of it. Destiny, luck, there really isn't that much difference when it comes down to the nitty gritty. It was meant to be either way.

    • sphinxter

Well, good then. Try anything funny though and I will cut off your balls and serve them to you on a silver platter.

Which we might actually be headed towards...

      That was an inappropriate response.

First, the rule creator never creates "bogus" rules. Any rule the rule creator makes is completely justified and awesome. I should know, I made that rule myself. Second, I like to think it was destiny and meant to be. So, I don't care what he was doing up there.

    • sphinxter

Oh sure "respect." I know that really means that you secretly wish to jump my...bones? That's a saying right? Yeah, you secretly want to jump my bones.

Yes, but I would still be carded and the only cards on me would say I was born in 1987. They would immediately assume my driver's license was fake as well.

      It's true. I can't quit you.

Well, little kids do try to sit on my lap near Christmas time for some reason. It has almost caused trouble more than once. I'm pretty sure he was the rule creator though. Obviously, I didn't get a chance to ask him what he was doing on my roof. He was dead.

    • sphinxter

Whoa dude, I don't swing that way.

Yeah, but I would be fourteen then. So, that wouldn't help me at all.

Looking at my tally marks and not cheating by just looking at the dates on the comments, I would say about three months.

The previous rule creator fell off of my roof. I just put on his suit and it automatically gave me the rule creator powers.

    • sphinxter

Awwwww, you like me. You really like me.

At this rate, I'd take five dollar been night.

Yeah, I sat in my hosue marking every day we didn't talk and am now making a sarcastic comment for each and every day we missed.

Meh, that's the advantage of beeing afforded that power.

    • sphinxter

I don't know, but you seem to keep doing it.

Ah, I knew someone did a cheap beer night that didn't end well. Still, that should be brought back.

Pffft, if I used sarcasm all of the time, it would lose its effectiveness.

Hey, it's just the letter of the land. I don't make the rules. I just point them out when they're convenient to me.

    • sphinxter

Hey, I understand you're too cool for school. It's okay. Just try not to forget us little people.

Didn't they have like a dollar beer night/disco night one time that ended very, very poorly?

      Sometimes.

You also clearly like penises then.

    • sphinxter

Ohhhh, Mr. Bigshot who does so much on the weekends that he can't respond. Sorry I'm not as cool as you.

That's why you go to $1 beer nights. Best...ahhhh...Promotion...Ever...I couldn't think of the word promotion.

False. Every player has exactly the same games every single month. It's science.

Exactly. ESPN is better. Which is why it should have been done on that.

    • sphinxter

I'm sure they do. I would google it to find out, but I'm too lazy...Yeah, those beers are about two to three times overpriced too.

I disagree with that completely. It's easily the most predictable since it's the largest sample size. Sure, there are guys that completely breakout and completely bust, but it's fairly easy to predict what most guys are going to do thanks to them playing so many games.

You can play for fun on pretty much every site. In fact, I have. Which is how I know ESPN is the best. Heck, that's why Yahoo finally added features this year that ESPN has had a for a few seasons.

    • sphinxter

Well, technically, the stuff I was thinking of can be found just about anywhere and even made, but I'm talking about all of the specialty stuff like the Dodger Dogs and that bajillion calorie burger the Padres have. Heck, even the steak burgers at Rosenblatt Stadium which I assume will be at the new CWS stadium. The ones made with Omaha Steaks.

You make your own luck. Research better.

One, Yahoo sucks compared to ESPN. Two, they will have the most well known ones that you should be eyeing...is it really eying?...I guess so...anyway.

    • sphinxter

Well, sure if you wasted it on a hot dog. If you got something epic that is filled with fat and can only be found at ballparks while throwing in some beer, it would be worth it.

Fair enough. I'm sure there will end up being a few guys who fall into that category, but unless you're Nostradamus, predicting the guys that come out of no where isn't easy.

The last round matters. I always use that to pick up the guys I think are going to completely break out or for prospects that I won't mind stashing on my bench until they get called up.

    • sphinxter

Well, that isn't a bad place to be I suppose.

They don't fall into your "RBI and AVG" thing though.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...That's still a wasted pick. Every pick is important.

      Fair enough.

    • sphinxter

Gently? I would have called him a fricking moron and ask where he was when they were passing out logic.

That's the best time to find guys who only specialize in one or two things.

Fair enough. Twentieth round is appropriate for Peavy though unless he proves he's healthy and even remotely like his old self.

Why? The last two years he didn't do too well. He picked UNC the year they won it, but everyone did that.

    • sphinxter

Yeah, there really isn't a ton of reasons to go beyond the traditional 5x5: R, RBI, HR, AVG, SB, W, K, SV, ERA, and WHIP. OBP for AVG is an acceptable move as is K to K/9. Adding anything beyond that starts to bring in redundancy or something idiotic like fielding percentage.

Fair enough. You drafted some pretty low average guys and guys that don't hit in the middle of the lineup to drive in the runs though.

Kuroda wasn't drafted? Either that's a smaller league or you have guys who overlook him. Many people overlook Kuroda though. I'm not high on Hellickson nor Garcia though. Rookies in the ALE, especially those that don't get to play for the Yankees or Red Sox, worry me. Garcia has to prove to me he wasn't a fluke last year too.

He's in the 99.8 percentile or something like that right now. So, I don't think his brackets would get screwed up too bad. He did pick them to win though.

    • sphinxter

...That is the most idiotic scoring system I have ever seen. Fielding percentage being included might not even be the dumbest thing. First, H and AVG basically are the same thing. If you win one, you're probably winning the other. Second, he also includes BB. The logical thing would be to just drop H, BB, and AVG to pick up OBP. Third, he uses H, BB, and IP, but just doesn't do the simple thing and use WHIP? Fourth, again, a redundancy. ER while using ERA.

It also encourages straight streaming too for position players and pitchers. You can win six of the batting categories just by accumulating and four of the pitching stats just by accumulating. Sure, having BB and H does sort of combat the pitcher streaming, but still, you have more to gain than to lose.

That is just a really strange scoring system.

Oh, he'll perform well. He could very well end up being the most valuable catcher overall. I just prefer Posey and Santana since they'll put up more power numbers in all likelihood. As you pointed out, Mauer hits better on the road because his home stadium depressed numbers in its first season.

With those categories, I would be streaming like crazy. Unless there's a start limit. I would still make sure I always used that.

Technically, you can consider VCU as having pulled off three big upsets since no one thought they would beat USC in the play-in game. That being said, They're one seed lower than FSU. FSU has two big upsets too. One of them was against the two seed where as VCU's was against the three seed. That being said, Kansas practically has a cake walk into the finals. They got the sixteen seed. Then, the nine seed. Richmond is the twelve seed. They will then get either the ten or the eleven seed. After that, they'll get the winner of the worst bracket ever which will be Wisconsin, BYU, Florida, or Butler.

...You have a friend who put fielding percentage as a category for fantasy baseball? That's...rather odd.

Fair enough. I can't really argue with that logic. If Posey was still on the board though, I would have gone with him over Mauer. I might have even taken Santana over Mauer. The Twins' new stadium depressed power numbers in its first season. Santana could have been had in the fifth or sixth round though.

I wouldn't say there's a "good" chance that he gets traded. The Rays do have three option years left on his contract. However, if they do decide to trade another pitcher, he is the most likely candidate. Unless they fall out of it or get offered an unreal deal for him, I'm pretty sure he'll stay put...I don't know. With fielding percentage being a category, I can only imagine what type of scoring system is in place. Another starting pitcher is probably a good idea though. Having just four probably won't be enough. Heck, if there isn't a limit on the amount of games you can start in a week, I would even consider streaming the fifth starting pitcher.

Meh, using old stats like that doesn't really work for this year. Parity is bringing teams closer and closer together. There honestly isn't a single team that looks unbeatable like there usually is. Granted, that team was Kansas last season and they lost in the second round. Still, I honestly wouldn't be surprised by any of the remaining sixteen teams winning the tournament. Heck, if Florida State keeps shooting like they did Sunday, they will be next to impossible to beat with that defense of theirs. That's a pretty big "if" though.

Meh, if it's an OBP league, he kills you in that. Even in an AVG league, it will probably take a huge hit with him being in the ALE now.

Who the frick was your second round pick then? Verlander? Maybe Kinsler? Longoria at five isn't terrible. That's probably where he goes in most leagues. Third base is pretty thin. If Cano was still on the board though at five, I would have gone with him. Honestly, after Pujols and Hanley, I would probably make him my number three pick due to position scarcity.

I would still get rid of Buck. If something happens to Mauer, you can also pick him back up or someone similar. Having two catchers on the roster is sort of like having two kickers on the roster...unless it's a two catcher league of course. Shields should bounce back, but he does pitch in the ALE. I try to avoid the ALE as much as possible. That's just a scary division especially for pitchers now...Unless you're on the Red Sox.

Good since picking Notre Dame to win it all was foolhardy. Picking them to beat FSU was fine. Most people did that. I would have if I wasn't an FSU fan. Picking them to win it all was insane though. They rely too much on their three pointers. Being hot shooting threes for six straight games is tough even for NBA teams.

Well, assuming it's a head to head category league and ten or twelve teams...

The offense is well balanced on paper at the very least. You aren't particularly strong in AVG, R, RBI, HR, nor SB though. You're not particularly weak in any category either unless you can't find a way to sneak Rajai Davis into the lineup. In that case, you will probably struggle with SBs. I can't exactly figure out who your number one pick was either. I would assume Longoria and Mauer were your first two picks. Which would mean that you drafted later in the first round. At least, that's what I would assume. It's a very solid lineup overall though. Your outfield will probably need some improvement, but that's usually the easiest to find due to the sheer number of outfielders and the fact that there are always some that perform at a higher level than expected.

The pitching is a different story. I think you'll be fine in W and two closers should be enough in S. Soriano isn't a bad non-closer RP to have either. ERA, WHIP, and Ks might be a problem though. If Shields has a nice bounce back season though, you won't be too terrible off.

At the very least, you should be competitive in every stat besides maybe SB barring down weeks of course. Buck, Raburn, and Soriano could be dropped for a few fliers right now though and of course, they will probably be the first to be dropped during the season as you pick up the guys having career years.

Best time for you to draft? I'm shooting for a Wednesday after seven now, but Friday times are good to know too. Any day and time that's good for you will be good to know though.

Ahhh, if you haven't seen her lately...She's funny though...

Keira Knightley was in Episode I. She sometimes can get too skinny, but she can look good. Plus, she was apparently born in a place called Middlesex. That's a funny name for a place.

Yeah, plus, there's always more chicks like Natalie Portman. Sure, none are as smart as here nor were they in Star Wars, but those things were just icing on the cake.

Yeah, I read/heard about it Monday. I was sad. I totally could have been a douchey French ballet dancer. Although, if that's what it took, it's probably for the better. I mean, just because I could be a douchey French ballet dancer doesn't mean I want to be one.

It is the end of the world. We needed eight people there. You're one of the three that didn't show up. The countdown to doom has started. It will end 12/21/2012. Good job being a third of the reason the world is going to end.

Yea, but that was almost two years ago and it was a short-term study abroad. I'm applying to do a full year.

Like I said, I just changed the RP limit to five instead of four. So, you met the limit and were able to tinker your roster. Make note of the draft date and time. The sooner you let me know if you can make it or not, the sooner I will be able to try to find a better time to suit everyone.

    • sphinxter

      Fair enough.

Alright, I'll do that. That may not solve the problem though. In my other league, I literally can't do anything with my roster even with the league manager tools. I have Alexei at second. He isn't eligible anymore. I go to drop him, I can't because I have too many SP on my roster. I go to drop them, I can't because I have Alexei at short. I try dropping them all at once, it won't let me for some reason. I'll go ahead and see if making it temporarily five will help any. Actually, first, I will try and drop Sherrill from your roster via my LM tools. If that doesn't work, I'll go ahead and do that for you.

    • sphinxter

First, you need to become more active again around here.

Second, you have to fix your keepers. We decided to avoid autodraft giving one guy a ton of relief pitchers that we're only allowing four on the roster at a time. You currently have five you plan on keeping. I know that seems unfair. However, you're keeping George Sherrill who won't even be closing for the Dodgers. So, that's the obvious one to drop. Also, another one of your guys, Felipe Lopez, currently isn't signed to a Major League team. He probably will be, but I figured I would let you know that.

Actually, I may change the RP limit to five. Still, you probably don't want to keep a non-closer on the team.

I've been reading some different forums on different sites. Apparently, many other young ones have the idea that they are never going to drink. I need more than two hands to count the amount of times I have read something like, "I have never had an alcoholic drink and never will." I then click their name and find out that they're sixteen. It makes me chuckle and remember when you were saying you wouldn't drink. Now, I'm sure some of these kids will stand by that belief, but most of them won't. It isn't a bad thing. It's just something that happens. As long as it's done responsibly, there isn't anything to be ashamed of. I do wish I could be there when all of these kids have their first drink just so I can show them their post as a reminder of how naive they were. It would be awesome.

See? That's an extremely adult thing to do. That is, ending an incredibly pointless conversation. That's something I will never do unless I honestly think I am proven wrong. Like I said, you're more of an adult than you think. Although, granted I know you were just being sarcastic, there is no such thing as a "fully grown adult." Again, people are never done growing.

Merry Christmas to you though good sir.

Also, for what it's worth, you have "grown" quite a bit from the first time I talked with you...At least from what I could tell.

    • sphinxter

Exactly, that's around the time you should start growing up and stop considering yourself a kid...Wow, really? Your school apparently doesn't protect you well then. I have to sign documents to allow my parents to even look at my grades and my bills.

You can look at it like that all you want, but that's not how most people view it. Besides, looking at it like that is still stupid. Your implying that when you reach a goal, you don't set new ones. When you reach a goal, you set new ones. Using your idea, you should never stop growing even while you're improving other things. That and even old people say that they aren't done growing. So again, using the cop out, "I'm still growing" as a reason for not being an adult is stupid.

BS. You would know to call and ask for help. That right there is enough to know how to take care of yourself. No adult knows how to do every little thing in the world on their own. They do know where to go to get help though. If your parents died and you didn't understand how to do those things in a week, then you would deserve to die too. You could get that stuff resolved in a day. I didn't know how to do my taxes at all. You know what I did? I said, "Hey dad, how do I do my taxes?" He told me. It took like five minutes for me to understand what I had to do.

Wow, so you would consider someone like Paris Hilton a kid then? That is idiotic. Again, you can consider yourself a kid all you want, but denying that you are an adult in most peoples eyes is retarded. You're an adult. You may not act like one nor have the experiences of one, but that doesn't change the fact that you're an adult. Just like a little leaguer is still a baseball player even though they don't have as much experience as a Major Leaguer. You just can't decide what you are or are not. I have no problem with you mentally thinking that you're not an adult. I mentally don't think that I'm full of myself. That doesn't change the facts that you are and I am though.
