      I'm back...

      again...

      kind of.

Okay, now that that is out of the way....

For not being able to see the passage of time in a nonlinear fashion; I see 2010 as a year full of hope... and (In addition to 2010 being the title of a Stargate SG-1 episode) it's a pretty sweet-ass number. Have a very Happy New Year everybody!

Has anyone ever put sand in a toaster oven and baked it for 30 minutes at 250° F?

Getting hit in the eyes with little snowflakes isn't very fun.

Seriously, I was just trying to walk, and then BAM, BAM! Two snowflakes, two eyes. I stumbled a bit too. Stupid sneaky snowflakes.

      Anubis4200

Okay, I'm gonna try something I haven't done before... ever.... A question and answer thing.

I'm sure you've come across these things before, but I will explain it anyway, 'cause I feel like it.

It's simple. You ask a question, and then I answer the question you asked. If by some cosmic circumstance I don't understand the question, or don't know what the frell you're talking about, I may ask you to dumb it down a little for me... or I'll give you an answer that I like... or something. Basically I'm just trying to have fun. So, ask me some questions and I'll do my best to answer them. If I'm lazy and I don't answer you're question for a few days, or weeks, don't be offended. I sometimes get tired of things... like typing.

Well, I hope you have fun and check back every now and then for your answers.

      Buh bye.

I finally gave in and bought a 12 month (actually 13 months, because they give you "1 bonus month") subscription of Xbox Live Gold for $50. Now the only question is, am I going to get my money’s worth or not? It all depends on if I actually play any games and/or watch movies from Netflix. I guess I'll wait and see.

13 months from now I will look back on all my adventures with Xbox Live, smile, and say, "man, those were simpler times."

Then I'll drink a couple cups of coffee, act slightly insane, and pass out in a dumpster behind a Wal-Mart.

As you're eating your turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, pumpkin pie, yams, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, creamed onions, salad (where the hell did that one come from?), bread pudding, pecan pie, apple pie, et cetera, today... do not eat that cookie.... And have a happy Thanksgiving.

The news about Jason Momoa (you know, Ronon Dex from Stargate Atlantis) getting hit in the face with a glass? If not, read on.

I took this from GateWorld.net, by the way.

Stargate Atlantis co-star Jason Momoa was assaulted at a Hollywood cafe last Saturday, November 15, according to a report by the Los Angeles Times.

Twenty-one-year-old Venice resident Dominic Bando argued with Momoa at the cafe, according to the L.A. County district attorney's office, striking him in the face with a pint beer glass, which shattered.

Momoa needed 140 stitches to his face during reconstructive surgery.

Momoa plays Ronon Dex on Stargate Atlantis, which recently finished filming its fifth and final season. He is expected to return in the first Atlantis movie, rumored to be filming in late spring or early summer of 2009.

Bando is scheduled to be arraigned on December 10, and could get up to seven years in prison.

This is sad. I really hope he comes through this with minimal to no scarring, because it would be pretty easy to wright that into the character of Ronon Dex. But finding other work may not be so easy.

Yeah... That last part was a little emo :D lol

Kill... As in, the juices/grease from the hotdog will eventually fry the heating element. I'm not talking next week or anything- just if you use it a lot for that sort of thing.

Same thing if you use a toaster to cook 'em (not oven- just plain ol' toaster)

No problem, that is a big reason I made that group. I wnat to put people up and hopefully get people makin maille that is more breathtaking than those before it. I hope to inrich the Maille Community through positive things like the news page. Good Work.

    • PooleeRobert

You make awesome maille. I like your Dragonscale, and your inlay work is outstanding!

Thanks... I'll probably take you up on that offer in a little while.

    • Evilmushroom

REALLY?!? Cool- cause I just kinda guessed on what the mail would look like with the sleeve. (yeah- I did it right)

Never thought of alternating the L's before... Mostly cause i don't know that much about mail... But I've got an armored angel I'm working on, so I'll try it out with him.

    • Evilmushroom

Yes... Yes it is. smiley0.gif Chaimail is easier to draw then you'd think. Just colour shirt grey, then get a dark grey or black and make small little 'L's in a uniformed pattern.
The trick is to let people see it from 2 or more feet away- then it looks exactly like mail, otherwise the effect is not as nice.

Eh- no mithril in the D&D campaign (yet)... Course, could always be proved wrong later...... Still- there is something about a Damphire in tight leather (over one in full armor) that screams "bad ass".

As for the drinking game- I was more thing "Devil May Cry 4"... Don't own any Pokemon games, so I can't speak on those games behalf.

Are we really going to get into a Reality debate about a character who easily carries a sword as big as him? It's like anime games- if you took a shot (drink) for every time one of them did something impossible, you'd be wasted by the end of the first level. smiley0.gif

About image: Chainmail would be sweet- but detremental... This is one of my D&D characters- and she's a rogue.... So chainmail would add protection, but take away her dex. and stealth (with rogues- less is more smiley0.gif )...... Besides- being a Damphire, she heals fast and has massive Strength- so it's all good anyway.

    • Evilmushroom

Yeah.... Hopital is the way it works in Canada smiley0.gif ... Think of it like colour and humour- same work, unique spelling. (except... those ones are actual words)

Good friend gave us Watchman for Christmas- and from what I've heard about the movie, I'm sure to be disappointed and emotional disturbed with what they're doing to it.

You'd be correct! It is indeed 6 to 1. The funny thing about the shoulders is I couldn't find any good pictures or instructions that were easy to understand for that joint. I was purely guessing and it turned out ok!

You've done some awesome chainmail work.....where do you get your supplies and what kind of cutter do you use?

Yeah- I joke a lot with a family friend.... Their Baptist, and I tell them they don't clap or raise hands cause of lack of upperarm strength. :) Fortunetly- their like a second set of parents to me, so they let me get away with saying crap like that.

Nice to hear your a fellow freak in the room! hehehe..... Sorry- I like to have fun with it. I'm just assuming you do to.

eh- don't worry about mailing it- I can always just copy out the image from here... Thanks for the offer though.

As for the tattoo...... lol..... Well SOME people might consider the forehead a little extreme- but that's just me. :)

Actually- I think the best place (if you simply MUST have it on your face) would be to have it tattooed over your right eye.... You know, the top of the image over your eyebrow, with the curve following the shape of you socket. ..........

You know............... It just occurred to me that I just put in WAY too much time on this. smiley0.gif

Thank you for the comments. I found a PDF of Jaffa symbols somewhere online awhile ago but couldn’t find it anywhere today. I still have the PDF, I could email it to you or put a bigger picture of the symbol in my images. I’ve actually thought of getting it tattooed on my forehead but that’s probably not a good idea.
