Looking back, I've had a great year. True, it was riddled with fights with friends and family but what's life without some conflict?
I mean, think about it.
I went to ComicCon. I finally told my grandmothers I was bi and was accepted for who I am. I kept my scholarship and got a job helping international students, lost 13 pounds, made enough money to get my family nice presents for Christmas, was given a yearlong Disneyland pass, made incredible new friends, helped people.
Who could ask for more?
We all have our regrets but looking back, I only really have 2 regrets: Not working out more and having a dream my computer fell off my bed...and waking up to see it wasn't a dream.
I need a new keyboard for the computer....
Still, this next year is going to be great.
Boyfriend is taking me on a week-long trip in summer, I'll be taking my cousins to Disneyland for the first time ever, I'm adding 2 minors to my major, turning 21 soon, going back to Buenos Aires for a while, maybe studying abroad, and who knows what other surprises this year will have.
I'm sure it'll have bad things too and I'll bitch about them sometime or another but...c'est la vie. Todo saldra bien.
Besides, I know what to think of when I get down. When I'm going through a hard time, I'll think of the people my class helped in Chaco, Argentina and how, though they were starving and poor, they gave their everything to make us feel welcome. I'll remember that the leader of the tribe told us, "Cuando no tienes nada, no te molesta darle a alguien todo"....When someone has nothing, you don't mind giving someone everything.
If someone with nothing can be so giving and optimistic, I'm sure I, a lucky girl, can look to brighter days.
So to all of you in the RoosterTeeth community, Happy New Years! May you work hard for everything you desire and may the winds of chance be in your favor! :)
2012, let's kick some butt

Yep. That's what I am. I can't deny it. The books changed my life, the movies were spectacular, and now the DVDs are all out. No, my life is not over (though yes, I am sad that I'll never be able to fight over a new Harry Potter book with my mom and sister). I am not going to fall into despair or depression.
What I am doing is falling..In love with this video. Oh yes, super lame transition!! We love those!!
So this video apparently spread through Tumblr a while ago (and since I just got a Tumblr yesterday...or Monday...I don't know. Don't really care) and caused many a Potter-fan to burst into tears.
I watched it. No tears but GOODNESS WHY DO I KEEP HITTING REPEAT!!
I would embed the thing but this journal hated the code.
Onto other things! I've kind of been spazzing over The Lion King. This past month, I've seen The Lion King at least 5 times, The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride twice, and The Lion King 1 1/2 at least 8 times. Also, I am writing. Me going on writing sprees is not good (in some ways) because I do not want to write poetry (which I love writing) because I am too busy writing one-shots. CURSE YOU, DISNEY AND YOUR ABILITY TO CONNECT TO MY INNER CHILD.
Seriously, Lion King was my favorite movie as a kid. Timon= best Disney character ever. Apart from Jim Hawkins. I must move on before I go on a Disney rant. NEXT!
Red vs. Blue time! On Monday, I woke up from a nap at night (yep, being sick makes you take naps at night), I saw that an acquaintance had posted a status about Red vs Blue. Two things entered my mind at that moment:
1) HOLY SHIT!! THERE ARE A LOT OF RvB FANS AT MY SCHOOL!!!
2) HOLY CRAPOLA!! WHY HAVE I NOT WATCHED THE END YET?!
I sat down, watched the last episode, and contacted boyfriend yelling "THEY CANNOT END IT LIKE THIS!" Boyfriend, being boyfriend, had been too busy listening to pony music to watch the new RvB. After I bounced around in circles (quite a feat for someone with a 104.2 fever) telling him he had to watch, he also sat down and watched. Boyfriend, who is a man of few words on Skype, all of a sudden typed tons of WHAT WHAT WHAT IS THIS?! WHEN DOES SEASON 10 COME OUT!!
RoosterTeeth, you have done it again. Please keep blowing our minds away with your awesomeness.

That's what I want to say to my boyfriend. He made a Pony Playlist. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, my boyfriend made a playlist dedicated to songs from MLP:FIM or songs created BECAUSE of it. Sad thing is I AM NOT ASHAMED! I love almost all the songs on that playlist. My favorite is Flutterwonder. I'll put it up here. WHY IS IT SO PRETTY?!
BOYFRIEND, WHY MUST YOU GET ME ADDICTED TO SONGS I WOULDN'T USUALLY GET ADDICTED TO?!?!? ALL CAPS RAGE!!
Anyway, had a bonfire yesterday with international peeps and people from Animation club. It was incredible. We sang songs such as Hakuna Matata, I'm Yours, Bohemian Rhapsody (I think everyone in a 2 mile radius heard us), other random songs, Stand By Me (twice), Mas Que Nada, etc. I swear the police drove by quite a few times; I bet they thought we were drunk. No officers, no alcohol here just 40 college students hanging at the beach eating s'mores, singing with guitars and make-shift drums, and having wheelbarrow races. Also, some of the students from Japan decided to play a prank on another guy and carried him off towards the ocean while shouting something in Japanese (it sounded like "Itikimasu" but I don't think that's what they were yelling)...They never dropped him in though.
Boyfriend and a girl teamed up on me though to push me backwards. Sean gave me a hug and I was really happy...until he pushed me and I tripped on Monica who was behind me, ready to make me fall over. I fell for the oldest one in the book.
I had fun too though! I saw Sean taking a picture of our friends and I slid into the picture at the last minute. It was pretty incredible.

I've only been in classes for a week and already, RvB stuff has been going on...which I find really awesome.
The first is of my own doing: MY TUCKERISMS POSTER IS ON MY COLLEGE DORM WALL! I think it's awesome but my boyfriend says Tucker watches me sleep. I hate to admit it, but it really does look like it. And he so would hahaha.
Second: My school has a great Film, Television, and Animation program which includes classes on video games. When I told an Animation Student I liked Red vs Blue, he told me that he took a class on video games (I forgot exactly what the course was called) and they did a whole chapter on Machinima. Guess what they did for Machinima? Watched Red vs. Blue.
Third: I came back to my building and I see a girl wearing a Caboose hoodie. I fangirled and did the typical "OH MY GOD YOU LIKE RED VS BLUE?!" We both spazzed a little because I have the Caboose shirt and that was that. I think my dorm wants to have RvB night.
On a different fangirl-y note, each building on campus has a theme. My building's theme is Harry Potter. It makes me so happy walking in to my building and seeing Hogwarts drawn on the windows, a Quidditch field pasted on the walls, the Hogwarts crest, etc. Unfortunately, I'm on the Slytherin floor (All the quizzes and all my friends tell me I'm a Gryffindor so who am I to contradict them?) Still, it's fun. We're going to have a Harry Potter marathon....and I'm psyched for Pottermore....and I showed my suitemates A Very Potter Musical last night...or well, a part of it. We're watching more tonight. IT'S A POTTER PARTY!
Well, time to go practice Japanese (quiz at 12- OH NOES)!!
College, why are you so incredible?
