      Hellooooo,

Now that Fan Service is no more, I wanted to find an RT community group based around the show and here it is!  It seems like no one has posted in a year, but I'm going to try and check this place regularly with anyone else who does and talk about anime.

From the shows airing this Winter season; I'll be watching Laid-Back Camp, IDOLiSH7, and Darling in the Franxx.  However, I'd love to hear about the other shows being released!

Let's try and have the spirit of Fan Service live on here!

I wrote this, it was fun. It uses the Destiny community situation as a platform for life advice. Suuuuppperrrr relatable right!?

Art in video games is incredible. I'm replaying Final Fantasy VII again on the PS4, and it is reminding me of how much I enjoyed the static backgrounds in those late-90's Final Fantasy games. There is so much creativity and detail used for areas that some players will only see for maybe a minute or two. I thought I would link some albums that have collected static backgrounds from Final Fantasy VII,VIII and IX. While IX didn't have my favorite story or characters, I still think it is one of the most beautiful games you can play. I hope people will find them enjoyable.

This weekend, much like the last weekend, turned out to be pretty nice. Also since I managed to write a journal last week, maybe I can make it a weekly thing. As long as I can find something I did that is worth publishing.

Friday was definitely the high point. My boss and I talk about photography on a regular basis. He does it on the side, and takes it seriously, and I really enjoy it and am terrible at it. Friday he just decided to give me his previous camera. It's a Canon EOS 50D. Probably one of the nicest things I've ever owned. Before this weekend I have always shot on 35mm film with a Canon FTB. I also develop my own film, and being such a bad photographer generally only four or so shots from a roll were salvageable. Even though the technology is older by now, I'm blown away that I get to review and change film speed and all that with a button push. The fact that he just gave it to me totally caught me off guard and was an amazing gift.

Later Friday was another big milestone for me, I finally made my 60th payment on my car! I was very foolish as a freshman in college and nearly 100% financed a used car. It was only a year old and had low-ish miles, and now it's mine! Now the only debt I need to get out of is my college loans, but they will happily accompany me to the grave.

Saturday and Sunday were both great just because we had a heat wave out of nowhere and it was 73 degrees F all day. We were able to play football and run around all day Saturday, and while Sunday was mostly studying, I did get to enjoy lunch and dinner outside, so I have to place to complain.

Basically this was a weekend full of blessings, and I hope everyone else had one better than mine. I know PAX South seemed like a really big hit, I can't wait to see the footage from that.

I have lived in Northern California since 2008, and I had never been to Yosemite National Park until this past weekend. I was always aware I was missing out on something grand, but I truly was never able to grasp how beautiful it was until I spent some time there.

I was only there for three days, so I didn't get to see a lot, but what I did see was wonderful. However, since it was three days I though I would sum it up into three photos. The first, above, is when a few of us drove out to the tunnel overlook to see the sun rise. Since I am a total Yosemite n00b we didn't do the Glacier Point sunrise which looks way better.

My friends and I also all bought Bass Pro shop hats, because why not. We took it upon ourselves to make as many things bass themed as possible, but this was easily my favorite photo from the series.

Lastly is this photo from the top of Vernal Falls. Not a very long hike, but so so so so many awkwardly carved steep steps that my legs were super on fire. The view was outstanding though, even with the limited rain fall we had this year, the current and force of the falls was very powerful and majestic.

Well it was a nice weekend, and a break from cell and Internet stuff. I hope to do more things like that soon.

Finding a workout that works for you can be difficult sometimes. I am 6'3" with a very fast metabolism, so gaining weight has always been an issue for me. Doing this program, all of its phases proved to be very useful for me. While I only ended up gaining 5 or so pounds, by the end of the program I was lifting a lot more weight than when I started.

It's called Shortcut to Size, and even though it has shortcut in the title, it was a very long workout after how many phases you go through. The only downside of the program is there were never any pull-ups or dead-lifts. So if you want to add them to a day I recommend it smiley1.gif
