      I am absolutely heartbroken.
My thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends of Monty. I know you must be hurting a million times worse.
To the RT community, to anyone really, if you need to talk I will always listen.

I had a fantastic Christmas and it resulted in me getting my own XBox 360.
I posted my old gamertag in my profile (let me tell you how frustrating sorting out what username/password it was attached to) but if you would like it, it is BiaBaby

This year has been pretty good to me.
I got a job I love working with some truly amazing people.
I passed my national and state exams to become a licensed veterinary technician.
I met and started dating my nerdy, loving boyfriend.
I went to the best, most magical concert in Austin and finally saw my favorite band, Brand New, play live.
I became more active in the RTAH community and fandom.

Plus, I only missed 7 guesses in Ten Little Roosters. Out of 16 total guesses (if I did the math right...) I did much better than I thought I would with 9 correct. I am terrible at mysteries. Even the most obvious plot twists mystify me. So I am proud of myself. :)

Happy holidays, everyone. May 2015 bring us all much joy and more Rooster Teeth goodness!

So, after consulting my dad to get an outside the fandom opinion, I finally voted on the first survey for Ten Little Roosters.
      It has been so stressful!
      Oh my goodness.

Austin, I will be in you tomorrow!
So long as I evade the ex-con/currently accused murderer that is roaming around Durant, OK tonight.

I am in a pretty good mood.

Got my nice wall-worthy registered vet tech certificate to hang on the wall. Need to get a frame for it. Then I need to decide where on my wall it will fit...

There was a minutes-from-death kitten brought into the animal hospital where I work. We managed to nurse him back to health and his recovery has been amazing! He got neutered yesterday and is supposed to go to his new home on Saturday!
      This is Gremmy:

Got my third tattoo at the end of August. It's lyrics by a band called Brand New from their song "The Quiet Things No One Knows". It's on my left foot and was the tattoo that hurt the most so far. But it healed up nicely, which is good. Foot tattoos can be weird when they heal.

A lot of travel is in my near future! Going down to Austin, TX to see Brand New perform, actually! Very excited!
Also, I get to see the bae in a week when he comes home from school to visit.

Gaming-wise, I am getting back into WoW again. I never really quit, but I did cut down on playing since work had kept me busy and tired. But now that the busy summer season in animal medicine is winding down, I have a bit more free time and I'm not completely exhausted after work!
So, I prepurchased the next expansion, mainly because it came with a free level 90 boost. So I have 4 level 90s now. Rogue, priest, paladin, and druid. My mage is like a few quests and a dungeon away from 90, as well. I was focusing on leveling alts, but the appeal of the legendary cloak finally got to me so I've been playing on my main (the rogue) mostly. I also became best friends with all the Tiller people, so my personal farm is all pimped out. It is the little joys that I revel in.
Been playing a lot of Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton games, too, on my fatty DS. Or silly mobile puzzle games on my iPad.

Other than that, I've been reading a lot. My taste in books is very diverse. lol I'm in the middle of the Sword Art Online light novel series. The translation isn't that good, in that it doesn't flow well in English. It's more a direct translation and that makes it a little awkward. But this series is basically like brain candy or popcorn. I'm also reading The Historian, which is a sometimes long-winded book about a young girl and her family's history with Dracula. When I finish it, I'll be reading The Handmaid's Tale, which I have heard good things about.

Lately, I've been playing games in the Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney series.
I don't remember how I got into them, but I remember it being annoying to get a copy of the first game for my DS. I had to buy it off ebay for, like, twice the retail value. Luckily, it was definitely worth it and I've replayed it so much, I've gotten my money's worth of entertainment.
I am in the middle of the most recent release, Dual Destinies, which came out in the App Store on my iPad. I think the transition from 2D to 3D graphics was done nicely and I like the anime cut scenes. Plus, the new empath attorney reminds me of me. I like the "power" she brings into the game.
I am sad that they are not localizing the second Investigations game, because I really liked the first one. The gameplay was different and refreshing. There are translations available online, but reading a transcript just isn't the same, you know?
Later this year, they are releasing the Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton crossover game, which I am looking forward to. I love the Professor Layton series as well, though I sometimes have to rage quit the puzzles... I need to catch up on that series. I've only played the first two games and I only own the second one.
I'm kind of sad Phoenix Wright is not as popular in the west. I know it's kind of a niche game with a weird premise, but it is so good!

    • St. Louis Renaissance Faire

Today, I went to a local ren faire with my dad and my sister. It was a lot of fun! The weather was gorgeous! Couldn't ask for a better day, honestly.

The Faire takes place in Petit Lyon, France located at Rotary Park in Wentzville, MO.

This is my second year going and this year I got to see a lot more of the vendors, but not as many shows. It was opening weekend and this weekend was Monty Python themed. King Arthur and Patsy were walking around in addition to the regular king and queen. I did get to see the jousting, which had been cancelled last year because rain made the arena a big mud puddle. So, that was really cool. :3 The faeries were trading shinies (little glass beads) for some nick knacks and my family found a few and I gave them away to some little girls who were also looking. They'd appreciate the trading post more than I would. They were delighted to receive them and it was really cute. There's a REALLY good Captain Jack Sparrow cosplayer/actor who goes to a lot of midwest events, including the Faire where he has a daily show. It is so funny and he is spot on.
I will probably go back for the pirate weekend and this time I will bring more cash on hand so I can buy more stuff. I'd like a pretty snood from Lady MacSnood. She's made them for Disney before! There are so many neat things to buy. The Shak'n not Stirr'd fresh squeezed juice is the best. I always get a lemon/lime/strawberry combo. Delicious!

If you're in the St. Louis area, please stop by the Faire! A single day adult ticket is only $13, so it's not too expensive, either. And everything in the Faire is reasonably priced. Even the food. So it won't break your wallet if you choose to buy from the vendors or tip the performers. There are also ways to save on tickets like donating blood or non-perishable food items, being a student or a service member, etc. Details are on the website I linked above!

Look at all the fun you could be having!
