Well for Spring Break I went to a huge indoor water park called the Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells, we were suppossed to go to Florida but my rather conservative father thought it would be too expensive just to pay for gas to get down there. I took quite a few pictures but don't have a digital camera or scanner so you'll all have to wait a little for those.

Anyway this place was pretty cool with pelts from all kinds of animals hanging on all the walls in the lobby and had chandaliers made of deer or moose antlers. The water park was swarming with teenagers and mercifully few little kids so I had a lot of company. They had a pretty good sized wave pool, a lazy river, water slides, and all the other things you'd expect a water park to have, but the most interesting thing was this large tower like building that stood up above the main waterpark building and had a massive tornado shaped waterslide that was fully enclosed but had huge windows so you could see the woods and highway outside the place. It was really fun because when you went down that slide you had a straight drop that couldn't have been more than a 25 degrees angle and after that a big open area where you would swirl around until you finally got to the bottom, it was pretty fun, the only thing was you had to carry these huge four person intertubes up four stories worth of stairs and my biceps were aching at the end of every day, if I didn't work out so much I probably wouldn't have been able to do it at all.

The other thing that was really funny about this place was everything was extremely expensive. For example I asked the person at the front lobbly how much it would be to rent a DVD player and some movies, she said $30.00 a night for the DVD player and $12.00 dollars to order a movie on the TV. At this point my dad made the sarcastic comment "for that much those had better be the best movies I've ever seen!". Another really expensive thing was when we ordered a pizza to our room on the last night there the guy said it would be twelve dollars for a large pizza but it'd be an extra seven because he had to go up stairs to deliver it to which I made a sarcastic comment about how if I got payed seven dollars everytime I went up some stairs I'd be very rich by now.

All in all I'd have to say it was a pretty fun vacation.

Wow, the episode of SG1 was amazing, for the first fourty or so minutes it didn't really do anything to get my attention though the scene with the Black Knight attacking the village was pretty cool. I was about to call this episode just mediocre but the last ten minutes just blew me away with the sheer intensity they used when the Ori came through while their themesong blars. I also liked how it flashed between the views of the Corulev's, Odyssey's, and whatever the ship Teal'c was on bridges showing the crews fighting and dying and just conveying a great sence of intensity, I'd give it a 10 out of 10. Damn I can't wait untill July and the next season.

The episode of Atlantis was pretty good also, while it lacked the large boring segment that SG1 had it didn't have the awesomness of the last ten minutes of the SG1 episode. It was interesting the whole thing they had with a Human/Wraith alliance but the whole time it screamed "this is too good to be true" and there's also the fact that they are dealing with Wraith, you know something's going to happen, though at times you want to believe that all this is for real. I also really liked the space battle scenes there were in this episode, I thought that the Deadalus could go toe to toe with a Hive Ship but apparantely it can't. Overall I'd give this episode a 9 out of 10.

All right, I was home to see Stargate again last night and I have to say that the episode of SG1 was better than I had thought it would be. With that Sudan warrier that Mitcheal befriended in the last episode being turned into an undead like creature that constantly foams at the mouth it was further demonstration of how dirty the Ori fight. It was a nice if somewhat short little skirmish in the Sudan village and the surrounding forests, also I got a good laugh out of Carter and Daniel trying to get get back into phase. Overall I'd give it an 8 out 10, not bad.

Stargate Atlantis was also pretty good, though it was a bit confusing at the beginning. It's interesting that Dr. Becket has finally perfected his retro virus capable of turning a Wraith into a human, next step I suppose is being able to make it making it permanent. It was pretty funny when Ronin tried to hurl himself through the Stargate and it shut down right before he passed through, dumping him flat on his ass. The end was also pretty good with the scene with Tayla facing down Mitchell as he's debating if he can feed on her or not, and then the frantic escape through the forest. I'd give it an 8 out of 10 also.

Well unforunately I missed Stargate last Friday but I did see last night's episodes, both were pretty good. Stargate SG1 I really liked because they had some pretty good action and an interesting story, bugs and viruses those Ori sure fight dirty don't they. I got a laugh out of the part when the scientists come back in the room and find out that the bugs have reproduced so much in a few minutes that they breached the container. I suppose they got lucky that the one scientist that was bitten wasn't sent back to Earth before he started spewing bugs from his mouth in the gate room. Oh well it was a pretty straight forward episode and there's not that much else to say, I'd give it a 9 out of 10.

Stargate Atlantis was pretty good to with the return of the Genai the sneeky little bastards that are always stabbing us in the back or trying to double cross us. It got a good laugh at the irony of the Genai dude who claimed to be planning a coupe than turned to not really be planning and then at the end you found out he really was. Thank God the main Genai general was vaporized (I never really liked him) it's kind of a shamed Commander Korlei didn't return though. Anyway all things considered I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10.

I have a few things to say about the SG1 episode... wow it was amazing! So far this season has gotten off to quite a shaky start but this episode has restored my faith in SG1. From the intensity of the scene with the Prometheus's captain facing his death head on to Rand general killing president Nadal and with his dying words proclaiming that "the deal wil stand". It had amazing visual effects and the short battle in which the Prometheus met its end was extremely good. I also liked how it still had a lot of intelligent themes in it and could very symbolize humanites not so peaceful history. I didn't think I would be giving out a 10 out 10 for a while but here it is this episode blew my mind.

The Stargate Atlantis episode was good with some sexual humor and Mckay freaking out again when he became trapped underground. It was interesting that they put the whole concept of a medievel society centered around a city identical to Atlantis that was burried up to its central spire, and how they thought that ability to control Ancient technology was part of a whole divine bloodline sort of scenerio. The end was pretty good though it was somewhat obvious that the bald guy (what ever his name was) was really the one who poisoned the "king". Oh well all things considered I'd give it an 8 out of ten.

Well the Stargate SG1 episode wasn't really up to my expectations, in the previews they made it look like it would be just one big battle to save Teal'c. Unfortunately they just ended up spending more time than they needed to on Colonel Mitchell's friend who was dying from an old shrapnel wound. The battle at the end was kind of cool though the Jaffa sucked horribly, I suppose it's nothing new but still Colonel Mitchell cleared out a significant part of the force almost single handedly, and then after that two Jaffa held him at staff point but didn't even bother to watch the doorway behind them even though they can hear the shouts of the approuching marines through it. All in all I'd give it a seven out of ten.

The Stargate Atlantis episode was actually pretty funny with McKay arguing with himself as he's sinking to the bottom of the ocean. It was funny how he hit his head a little too hard and imagined Carter was there with him. That pretty much sums up the episode with Sheppard and Zalinka rescuing him, I'd give it a seven out of ten also.

Well last night's episodes of both Atlantis and SG1 were pretty good, I'd give the SG1 episode a 7.5, it was funny to see the eighteen SG1's running around the SGC and it had a little intelligent stuff when the two teams were trying to outsmart each other but it was somewhat lacking in substance. Stargate Atlantis I'd give a 9 out of 10 it was very good, they set up an intelligent plot for this episode and presented you with several possible spies, of course it wasn't the scientist with the ponytail because it's never the obvious guy, but I didn't expect Koldwell to be a Gou'ld, then of course the scenes with Tayla and the funeral procession singing in the background really added to the mood.

      Blackops16

Last Friday the new season of Stargate started, it was kind of a dissappointment but then again it was only the first episode, the Stargate Atlantis episode was very good though. I'd give the SG1 episode a 6/10 and the Atlantis episode a 9/10. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised though, they got rid of O'neil and have defeated the Gu'old, the enemy that made the show. They might still be able topull through it but it'll be very hard. On the other hand Stargate Atlantis has gotten much better since it's first season and it's definetly something to keep an eye on.

Yeah I'm a pretty big fan of it, one of my friends got me hooked on it. The Ori are an origional enemy but I'm still impatient for them to get to some more traditional battles.
