So I went and bought the new Metallica CD. All I have to say is that it is GREAT compared to St. Anger. And it's pretty good compared to the others. Not Master of Puppets quality, but it's good stuff considering how long they've been around. And so far I have to say my favorite song is.

      The Day that Never Comes.

Oh and did I mention sick guitar solos.

So lets start this thing off right. About three four weeks ago I was getting ready to go to the grand canyon. And my Xbox Red Rings. Bad Omen? Other than being damned inconveiniant it really wasn't that bad. We fly out to Las Vegas, and work out way to meet with our scout troop in Flagstaff arizona just prior to heading out to the canyon to do two days worth of backpacking. Long story short we did the touristy thing met up with the troop and were on our way.

The canyon: The canyon was sweet. Every picture you've seen of the Grand Canyon is exactly as it was backpacking. And I will tell you this you do not truly appreciate the Canyon until you have walked inside it. Along with this appreciation is the utter loathing of 125 Degree (F) temperatures in the sun at High Noon, and the sheer disgustingness of watching salt crystals form on your body as you sweat away your very essence of being. Other than being the second hardest thing I've ever done (first thing willl be mentioned further down) it was awesome. On a side note, not everyone had as good a time as me. Two of our scouts had to be helicoptered out because they got extremly dehydrated.

When I got back from the GC I proceeded to pretend to pack for college and start getting ready for my blackbelt test. Which involved doing 100 pushups a night amoungst things. Now, onto the hardest thing I've ever done. My black belt test. I arrive at the gym at 7:50 am EST. Stretch for ten minutes then run for about 4 miles or so. I get back at the Gym and proceed to do 300 pushups and 300 crunches. 200 for the first hour, 100 for the second hour that I had crossed over into (I got lost running). Afterwards is much a blur of sweat and pain. But the final break down is 500 reverse punches, 250 upward, outward, inward, and downward blocks, 250 front snap and wheel kicks, 20 flights of stairs, 500 backfist drills, 200 self defense techniques, 7 Katas, 2 minute rounds on the back for 9 rounds, Spar and grapple with my instructor, and finally get my shit pounded on by a kendo stick. I am now a black belt in the Tracy System of Kenpo Karate.

And now I'm at college, still trying to not fuck up my schedule. It seems I've over extended.

    • Graduation, The Happening, Movies, And College Orientation

This is going to be a long one, and might take me a couple days to write (which will inevitably have no impact on you whatsoever)

Graduation was phenomenal. Because of the wildfires on the NC/VA border we ended up having to have it inside, but this turned out to be an altogether good thing. It was nice and cool in the gym, and it was pretty well run. Though we didn't get out little papers on stage (which ended up looking gay on camera) there was nothing much to complain about. And not to mention the fact that my best friend who was Valedictorian had an awesome speech. So I've now got my diploma and my two step feel really good.

Now onto the happening, which ended up being me and Sams thing to do a couple days after graduation when we realized that we were free from the time being. This movie was altogether good. Though it was a bit more graphic than M. Nights other movies. Though the fact that it was rated R as opposed to his others made this fact expected. I kind of felt that he tried to add a bit too much comic relief to make up for the graphic nature of it. But other than that I have no complaints. Like any other movie I've watched by him, the pieces didn't come together until I left the theatre and had time to think about the movie as a whole. And this is a fact that I like about movies; especially his.

I don't really feel like writing a long deal about a couple other movies I rented and saw, so send me a message or ask about it in comments if you want my opinions on them. I rented 3:10 to Yuma, and The Shooter. Absolutely badass movies. 3:10 had just enough action and just enough exposition to keep you glued.

George Mason University College Orientation. All caps for maximum boldness without the bold. OK, enough of that. GMU College orientation was awesome. From the 18th to today I was going though the pre-college process of getting my self ready for college. Yesterday we learned about our classes and how to get around college. The campus is HUGE. I got lost so many times when they let us out on our own. But once I found my way I was sold, I love the campus layout. And today I got to meet with the head of my major (Astronomy) and we set up my first semester classes. I think I have about 15 credit hours as of now. I'm going to try and sneak AF ROTC in there but I don't know how it's going to work out as I have to take AFROTC at The University of Maryland. I'll be doing some emails later. I can't wait to get started.

I know I didn't get into details on a lot of stuff, I'm still trying to catch up on all I missed, but if you shoot me a message or comment and ask me something specific I will try and answer. So how is everyone?

Well work sucks. Yesterday I was supposed to open the store with one of our mangers... He didn't show, as a matter of fact he didn't show up all day. And our other manger got into a car wreck. So two drivers ended having to open and call back 10 angry customers as to why their preorered party pizzas didn't come. Then we got slammed around 5 when the store finally got opened...(It was supposed to open at 11). So yeah...yesterday sucked.

On a lighter note, I am graduating in 6 days. And I think I am getting a tablet for college.

Well, I know I haven't been on in a while. Needless (maybe) to say I have been busy. With scholarships and the like. School is almost over and I can hardly wait. I've got 42 days until graduation. I've almost completely given in to senioritis and am so apathetic at this moment it's not even funny. Here's something of interest though. I've been looking at getting my motorcycles license and my friend has offered to teach me how to ride. So if that goes well, I'll probably get one of these Kawasaki Ninja 250R. Should be fun. Well I'll keep you all posted as school shit develops. If anyone here is in the DC area, come this fall I'll be going to GMU if you should want to meet.

By the gods (poly intentional). That was a great episode. I cannot express how much I have been awaiting this episode. And having watched 60 episodes in four days, this one has to be one of my favorites. But I don't feel like going on a long speech about it, just know this, it was great. Comment or PM me if you want to talk about it.
