If you ever are in the Northern Virginia area, you should check out The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Saturday nights at midnight. It's at University Mall in Fairfax. I'm part of the cast so check it out!

      The cast's webpage is: www.trannyconcubines.com

So I've been really busy lately, and although I doubt anyone reads this, I'll give you a quick update on what's been going on.

      1) My classes continue, and I'm down to the last few weeks before finals, or what I like to call, the WTF?! Where did all these projects come from month.

      2) My friends forced me to go see the Rocky Horror Picture Show at University Mall (right across the street from GMU). It was a lot of fun, and I have now joined the cast/crew

      3) Last saturday was my first night as a member of the RHPS group, and it was an.....interesting....event. I was ridden like a horse by three guys, and my butt was really sore from being smacked by just about every cast member.

Overall, having fun and surviving another semester at GMU.

So I went snowboarding again yesterday. It is soooo much fun! Is there an activity that you do that makes you feel a lot better (about yourself and everything else)? That's what it is like for me. It was really cold, and when the sun went down, the icy slopes kicked my ass....then I decided to go again....rinse and repeat. I definately want to keep snowboarding in the winters and am starting to look into getting my own board.

Classes continue, whether or not I end up in class or not (yeah, falling behind in a few), but I still have my head above water, so it's a huge improvement from last semester.

So classes have been going on for over three weeks now...I've got the normal mix of good classes, and ones that want me to smack my head through the desk every time my professor opens their mouth. Other than that, not much else going on at Mason.

The move has gone pretty well. Since there really hasn't been much of a hurry for me to get my stuff out of the old house, part of my stuff is still there, as I go through things and toss out the random junk I have picked up over the years. Turns out I collect a lot of random crap. The new house is nice, but one of the main problems I'm having is getting reliable internet on my computer. The router is on one side of the house, but my computer is almost on the other. Signal is good enough for basic browsing, but not for consistant gaming.

The bright side to moving is that I finally have cable (well FiOS TV) instead of basic antenna!! I also have a king size bed now! If only I had someone to share it with smiley2.gif .

Snowboarding is really awesome!!!!!! My friend, Dorsey, ended up cracking one of his ribs last time we went, so this time he decided to try skis. I'm getting the hang of linking turns and have moved to moderately difficult slopes. I definately plan to keep going and try and get better at it. Anyone know anything about Snowboards? I want to look into getting myself one instead of renting one each time.

So I've been a bit busy with classes starting up again, so this is going going to be a short update.

Classes have started up: now taking classes in my major! Woo hoo!

Moved to the new house (only about 5 min away from the old one), and still getting things set up the way I want them.

Went snowboarding with friends again. Pics soon of that, I hope, and I plan to go again on the 8th.

Overall, I've been busy and havn't been online much. I hope that will change soon.

    • Welcome to 2009

So my life has been a bit crazy over the last few weeks. The holidays were nice because I got to see my aunt and uncle that I have been living in Germany (until recently). But having Christmas in a different, yet familiar, house, without my sister, was very odd. It hasn't really felt like the holidays here. I've talked to a few people who agree with me. I wonder what it is that is making it different.

New Years was fun. My friend from Richmond came up, and we went over to my sister's place and watched movies, told funny stories, and had great time meeting some of my sister's friends.

The only downside is that I came home late and then got really sick (no I was not drinking......sadly). I guess I'm now ready to take on 2009.

Oh, I found my camera! Turns out I forgot that I let my sister borrow it, and she forgot she had it. Woo hoo!!! I can now add some new pictures, because I am really tired of what I have up now.

      !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went snowboarding yesterday!!!! It was great! I fell A LOT, but it was freakin' awesome!!!

Aparently, I stand goofy foot on the board (Right foot in the front). Also all my friend and I were having trouble with heel side turns, so most of us could only turn one direction.

We all did some interesting crashes:

Nick - First takes out a small girl (she was fine), then somehow he planted the front of his board into the snow and fell both on his butt and his head in one fall.....very talanted.

Claire - Had the unlucky habit of falling the exact same way every time until her leg said no more. She also would fall if she stood still for more than a minute.

Dorsey - Took some sharp turns and wiped out. My favorite was when we were right next to each and then the next minute he wasn't there. It was funny because I was about to say something to him when he dissapeared.

Me - My board found every ditch and large gash in the snow it could find. It really wanted me to make friends with the trees.

So I ended up spraining my wrist but kept going (yeah, stupid move, but it was too much fun to stop)

And then I decided I was ready for the next hill (BIIIIIIIG MISTAKE!!). Dorsey and I got up there and realized it was steeper and icier than we thought. By the time we got to the bottom, we both had fallen at least a dozen times, and he had twisted his ankle.

      I can't wait to go again! smiley0.gifsmiley0.gifsmiley0.gifsmiley0.gifsmiley0.gifsmiley0.gif

      I am really excited!!!!!

I have wanted to learn to snowboard for a long time. My friend and I used to play Coolboarders and SSX games and think....that would be fun to do!!!

So now, a good five or six years later, we are getting around to actually do it!!! I know I won't be learning any tricks but it will still be fun!

Yeah, well, my brothers have it, for the 360. I would totally be one of the first zombie converts when the apocalypse comes.

I am not sure exactly how long it took to make my costume, 15-20 hours maybe? The wings were pretty time consuming. I actually made it during a couple of all nighters that week, so the fact that I was so out of it from lack of sleep may have something to do with that uncertainty. XD

Thank you. All it really takes is to study the things around you that you like and start drawing them. Draw something new every day, learn from it and move on to the next one. Practice really does have more to do with it than raw talent...

I drew most of them. There's some in there that were drawn for me by some of the other artists on the site. Thank you.

I've been drawing since I was about 12, but didn't start seriously studying art until I hit high school. There was a decade or so where I put down the pencil but started back up shortly before joining RT.

Well, I still live with my parents, so no, no place fun, but I hear you can still play video games there so it's not a total loss. Actually I really like the house we're moving into, it's like a rich peoples house, and it comes with a 3ft television!

Haha, well...the costume took me a while to make, but in the end, totally worth it. I had been workin on it since July of last year and wore it to the proceeding Halloween. Start with the bottom:

-the boots I had before, I just took some white ribbon and laced it through.
-the half skirt I took an old white skirt of mine and gradient dyed chunks of it to make it look like so. Longest part of the costume.
      -the shorts I had. Duh.
-the belt, I found an old belt at Goodwill and borrowed the embellishments from my boyfriend at the time. His grandpa had some in his garage or something.
-the tank top I sewed part of a pink corset to the white tank. The black symbol thing, I had no choice but to paint it on my chest. smiley6.gif
-the hood, I cut off of a sweatshirt hoodie.
-and the hair wrap, got some beads at a craft store.
-I omitted the giant rattail, my head would have been hurting from that. lol

So yeah. Great costume. This year my friends and I are doing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I'm going to be Raphael. smiley0.gif
