Basically a highly stylized, black and white, ultra-violent game focusing on killing your enemies as brutally as possible. I am giddy with anticipation.
The trailer has the original theme music and everything. I have to say, I'm a little worried about it after the travesty that was Invisible War, but maybe they learned from their mistakes and won't dumb it way the hell down for console consumption.
Yes, I searched. The old Nightwish thread was deleted, so we need a new one.
They've released the video for Amaranth off the new album, Dark Passion Play.
I'm gonna be honest, I don't like it. At least in this song, I don't like the way Anette sings. It's too... Pop-ish. And the song itself doesn't do much for me either. I'll hold off judgement until I hear more songs, but I'm a bit worried...
Well, Encodeurs has finally released Beta 1.0 of Perfect Dark Source, and I must say that it's a joy to play. There are some very fundamental problems (blur, movement lag, etc.) but afer all, it IS only Beta 1.0. Anybody else playing this delicious remake?
Essentially, parodic Chinatown gangsta rap. I absolutely love it. Their lyrics bring the lulz, and all three of them are pretty good rappers. Not much else to say about them. A lot of sexual innuendos involving Chinese food, and references to working in Chinatown. I'm seeing them live on Friday, and it's gonna be awesome.
Yes, there is a thread in the 360 forum. Yes, there is a thread in the Playstation forum. But one of the biggest reasons the General Gaming forum is here is for multi-console games, of which this is one. And it's stupid to have to go back and forth between two topics, when we could just have one here, where it belongs.
Anyway, I think the trailer looks pretty awesome. I'm glad to see it being set in Liberty City again, because Liberty City was always my favorite. Also, having an Eastern-European/Russian main character is sweet. (First person to call him Middle Eastern gets a swift punch in the junk.)
Creating this topic because the other one got locked because some people can't seem to tell the difference between Warhammer and 40k. PROTIP: We're not talking about Age of Reckoning.
So now that THAT'S out of the way, let's talk about the game. I personally probably won't play it, only because I can't stand the races that are likely to be playable (Space Marines, Tau, Eldar...).
It's more likely than you think.
This is definitely a good sign. Not as good as if they had announced GTA for the Wii, but close.
I discovered Leaves' Eyes because they're the opening act for the North American leg of Blind Guardian's Twist in the Myth tour. I uh... "obtained" a couple of their songs, and they're pretty damn good. I especially like Ocean's Way, because of the combination of almost operatic vocals, and harsh vocals. The song they have a video for pretty much sucks, unfortunately.
And that is a sin against humanity. I recently got into Transmetropolitan, and it is easily the best and funniest comic series I have ever read. I love the approach of the main character being a journalist, and not some government agent or something. It makes for fresh stories.
Not to mention, Spider has some of the coolest shades this side of the Matrix.
