The Eldar mansion was on the outskirts of Austris. The monolithic structure was on a holl, overlooking the city, and was centuries old.

Yes, once every two years I run out of clothes, shoes and other shit, so I have to buy more. smiley2.gif
But I also did my last bits of christmas shopping, and got me some nice new stuff, too. Like a'how to draw steampunk' book. Woot.

      And Halo CEA.

Ah, I feel the nostalgia welling up iside me now.
I love how the pistol can massacre almost anything. I love the ARs insane ammo capacity, and I love how it's still a fucking awesome game after ten years.
It's still so hdifferant from other FPS games. I love how it immidiatley sets you up as the badass in power armour with oversheilds, as opposed to, say, MW games, where a normal soldier can take more bullets in five minuets than a rifle-range backwall does in a year.
I love how smooth the play is, and how the baddies are (mostly) badass.
And I love... well everything else about it, too.
      Back to it!

      Quote of the day:
"I was going to make an 'arrow in the knee joke, but I was playing halo CEA."

      Bio:
He was the only child of Martha and Christopher Striker. He lead a comfortable and uneventful childhood as his father was a Dirigible Caravan Commander and made plenty of money. However, when Jason was fourteen, he was demoted dwon to Captain, then only Lieutenant. He bacme unhappy, and started searching for comfort in the bottoms of Whiskey bottles and the tales of Old Sea and Sky Farers. There he heard of a possible means of Escape - The Corvus Corrone.

Jason remembers his father telling him tales of the mystical ship each evening, before he went to sleep. Then one night, when Jason was 15, hs father said that he was going away, that the Corrone had returened, and he was going to sail on it. The next evening he never came home at all. Martha said he'd abandonned them, that he'd gotten drunk and hooked up with some floozy, and left everything - including all ofhis money - behind.

Martha Died three years afterwards, leaving Jason to care for himself. He still had his fathers money, but he wondered where his father had gone. Two years after Martha's death he began to search, finding little more than Folk tales and urban legends. Despite this he kept serching sustained by his fathers slowly dwindelling savings. The only comfort he could find was in making things. He'd build simple machines to keep himself occupied when he wasn't thinking about the mystery of the Corvus Corrone.

Other: Ten years after his father's vanishing act he's hoping that the Corrone is real, and will return, so he can be re-united with his dad.

These are the parts to the puzzle that the characters will collect over the first act to find the Corvus Corrone. They only start with one.

      A strange and rare Album:
A strange old record with only two tracks. Both have eerie, thought provoking effects, and whisper of freedom. A dangerous idea. To hear them is to yearn for freedom, to covet escape and to dream of flying beyond the stars themselves.
The Songs: Dignity and To Liberty

      An old Ghostship legend:
A legend told in the Air Harbours and water docklands in London. The tale of a Ghost ship that appears only once every ten years called the 'Corvus Corrone.' Supposedly a pirate vessle rulled over by the great Captain Swing. They say he tried to fight 'The Company,' tried to escape not olny the company, but the whole planet. Some tales say he succeded, and the re-appearance of the 'Corvus Corrone' is Swing rescuing more people from 'The Company,' while other versions claim he died and his Ghost Haunts the skys still trying to escape.

An Open rebellion that works in secret:
A rebellion is said to work in london, one activly and openly fighting the Company. They say that the great Thief, Springheeled Jack, leads them and that finding and joining them will lead to freedom. However no-one has ever seen Springheeled Jack, and the only proof of the Rebellion is a strange Grafitti* that appears on walls across London. Prehaps the Rebellion is just a Myth after all....

A secret Society that's public Knowledge:
Everyone has heard of the 'Navigators,' a so-called secret Society dedicated to finding a way from earth and to other worlds. Considered widely to be superstition or conspirasy theory. Despite this Company Security Force (CoSeF) seems to think them a real threat. The only possible proof that the group exists is odd Symbols* that mark hidden placezs around the City. Maybe, just maybe the Navigators exist after all.

      Whispers in the Citidel Halls:
Stories of a great scientist who worked in R&D over fifty years ago, a man said to have dicovered the secret to Heavier-than-Air travel. His name was Doctor Rheinhardt and he was the Company's greatest asset. That is untill he dissappered not two weeks after his discovery... A discovery which the Company has tried to keep under cover...

    • Looking for artist

      DaKillaKing

I'm writing a webcomic and was wondering If any artists would be will to draw for me.

The comics name: 'Sucessful Supervillain' or something along those lines.

The Idea is simple. It's set in a reality where super heroes and super villains exist, and, naturally, the super heroes win all the time. But then this ong guy, the main character, comes along and starts actually winning against the heroes. It's a play in the usual hero cliche.

Inspiration came from a discussion I had with a mate. We were discussing why villains always lose. We decided that it was because when they had the superhero trapped they would devise some elaborate way of slowly killing him/her and then monologe allow the hero to escape.
So I said 'what if the villain captured the hero, then just killed him? The joker could save himself heaps of trouble by putting two into the batmans head next time he catches him."

      So anyone interested?

      Quote for the day:
"You know how most villains monolouge and let the hero escape? .... Well that just ain't my style..."
      The Villain, from 'Successful Supervillain'

      That is all

    • Steampunk RP?

      DaKillaKing

      I've written an intro/background. Enjoy:

The London sunrise went un-observed through the thick smog sitting above the city, the only light was the steady glow of Arctine treated steam hissing out of street lamps. Under the thick, lit by the blue-glowing steam rose grey, smoke-belching factories and equally ugly apartment buildings. Dwarfing them all were the 43 Citadels, owned by The Company, an eternal monument to their dominance over Britain and Europe, the only remainder of civilisation in world.
The Company was founded over 150 years ago in 1811, a year after the Arctine meteorites crashed to earth. Scientists discovered Arctine had many useful properties and the more they looked into it the faster technology advanced. By 1836 projectile weapons were outdated by heat-rays and tesla-guns, lighter-than-air transport systems, and new production technologies.
African tribe developed weapons of their own and drove colonials out before warring among themselves. The American nations warred with the Russo-Chinese Empire, laying waste to both North and South America, tore all resources from the pacific and destroyed half of Asia. The Company bought out the governments of Europe and now rule the last remaining ‘bastion of civilisation.’
The year now is 1963 and the Company has ruled for over a century. Mines, factories and farms, they own is all. Rising from the area once known at parliament is the greatest building in the world. 500 meters of Iron and Brass, the Company HQ was a definite and undeniable reminder of the seeming Omnipotence of The Company.
But rumours abound of an escape. A new land to live in freedom. Whispers, little more. Citadel rumours of a Scientist who discovered the secret to Heavier-than-air flight, and then disappeared. Dockland tales of a mysterious ship called the ‘Corvus Corrone.’ An open rebellion that operates in secret and a secret society known to everyone. Strange symbols and the rare vinyl record with song that grant the listener with a heartache, a yearning of adventure.
These strange coincidences have emerged, and provide a strange and confusing puzzle, but one that promises freedom to whomever solves it.

Let me know what you think.

      Quote for the day:
"Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana."
