I am in no way affiliated with Rooster Teeth staff. That means I am not an employee of RT and I am not paid to do this. I am just a community member who appreciates and welcomes new members with open arms. I felt that it is necessary for new users like you to get a walkthrough of the web site. Feel free to message me with questions you may have. I will try my hardest to answer all of them. If I am unable, I will be sure to direct you to a source, that will be able.Welcome to Roosterteeth.com, hope you enjoy your stay. You can post journals, videos, and even pictures on your profile. You can also join groups, contribute to the forums, post comments, earn milestones, increase your Karma, and keep up-to-date with all Rooster Teeth productions.Journals are little entries you make. Well not really. They can be as long as you want them to be. Think of these as blogs. Share your interesting stories. Express your opinion of games, TV shows, politics, etc. As a side note, you can make your journals visible to everybody or only to your friends. Videos that you have made can easily be posted your profile. Just head over to the videos section on your profile and paste your url where it says "add a video URL..." Now I feel I need to tell you this even though you might know better, but please not breach any copy right laws when you post videos. Be smart. That is all I ask.Pictures can be posted the same way you would post them on Facebook or Google +. Groups for the most part are very active and active. If you have an idea for a group you want to join, simply use the search bar to find it. If you realize that the group you are looking for does not exist, make one yourself. Only don't forget to send your friends or other users an invitation to join it. Unless, I don't know, you like your privacy. Forums, you know what they are. Click out here to get a look at them.Comments.....pretty cut and dry here. Post you comments on pictures, videos, journals, comics, and anything else I forgot to mention.Milestones are little achievements/trophies you earn on the site. They are all easy to earn. Heck you get one for just signing up.Mod this is a feature you can use to express your opinion on any post without the need to comment on it. You can mod every one's journals, comments, videos, pictures, and forum threads. There are four positive mods (cool, funny, ditto, zing!) and four negative mods (lame, wtf, noob, flamebait).Karma is a meter that shows how active you are on the site. The easiest way to increase you Karma is by posting comments. Karma also goes up if you get an award from certain members of the cast and crew. But don't forget, what goes up can also come back down. And the only way your karma can go down is if you get a negative award from the staff. Also you should consider this. Every time you level you karma up, the longer it takes to go form level to level (leveling up from 5-6 will take longer than level up then from 1-2). In other words don't get consumed with getting your Karma up to lvl 99(max). It is the worst thing you can do for yourself. Not to mention that if you just annoy people with constant comments, your karma can probably be reset and you might face a ban.Don't forget to check out all the content provided by Rooster Teeth. Like "Red vs Blue", which just finished its 9th season. If you have never even watched an episode of Red vs. Blue in your life, now is the time. Just head over to the videos then head over to "Red vs Blue" right here on the site. While you are surfing the videos section, keep an eye out for other Rooster Teeth series like "Immersion" and "RT Shorts."If you find yourself saying: "Gees, I would kill to have me a collection of RvB on DVD and a Caboose T-shirt." Then good news for you. Visit the Rooster Teeth Store now and buy yourself all the RvB DVDs and Caboose T-shirts you want. You can get those and other Rooster Teeth products at the store if you get interested. Don't forget to listen to the "Rooster Teeth Podcast", hosted by Gus Sorola every Wednesday, to be kept up-to-date with News and Events. If you find yourself wanting to help out Rooster Teeth, become a sponsor. It is fast and easy. Just click right here. Being a sponsor also gives you extra features which regular members cannot get access to. However, it is all up to you. Nobody is twisting your hand.Don't forget to also visit www.AchievementHunter.com for guides and easter egg videos on your favorite games. While you are there you might as well sign up or even create a tournament. I mean if you are in to that kind of stuff. Achievement hunter is also responsible for many web hits: "Achievement Hunter Weekly Update (AHWU)", "Horse", "Rage Quit", "This Is:", "Fails of the Weak", and the brand new "Things To Do In:". So make sure to watch those and other programs if you have not started already. If you are wondering when Rooster Teeth will throw another RTX (that is for Rooster Teeth Expo.) so you can get ready to buy your tickets, visit www.RTXEvent.com.
