This is a little late...but here it is.

I am so glad 2007 is over. 2007 sucked quite a bit...except for like the last 5 hours of it. I got to hang out with my best friend for that time. I haven't really seen him since we graduated back in June. He goes to West Point out in New York so he only comes home about twice a year. About an hour before the new year it got great. His little sister came home (she is only a year younger). I went to Prom with her my junior year. Well anyway I wish she would have stayed at her home for the new year but, she had to go somewhere else she had already made plans. So I was talking to her for about half an hour before she had to leave. So we are supposed to hang out soon and go on a date so I'm pretty happy...that was almost the best way to end last year.

2007 was an interesting and crappy year. The high points were:
      Graduating
Playing soccer again (Had a hell of a season)
Those last few hours of 2007

      Yeah that's about it. lol

      For resolutions for 2008...
      1. Work out as much as I can
      2. Do more with friends
      3. Continue to do well in school

Plain and simple resolutions but, I think they are good. Along with the friends part is actually go on some dates. It wasn't really important in high school to me but I need to change that I think. Hope something will happen with my best friend's little sister...he is cool with it as far as I can tell.

Hope everyone has a good new year.

This is the best picture I have of her. This was my junior prom:

    • My Thoughts

So it being 2 A.M. and I'm still up I figured I would write something here. I for some reason come up with some good stuff really late at night. So here are my random thoughts tonight.

I came up with a quote earlier: "Live your life to the fullest, don't regret what has happened, and learn from your mistakes." This has pretty much been my philosophy (I hadn't thought of that quote...it's just how I have lived my life)...I have kinda strayed away from it a little...but that's over with. I don't honesty know what is the reason I have decided to move back to it. It is probably a combination of a few things.

It's really impossible to not regret anything. I can admit that I regret a few things. But, nothing can be done about those things now. Really a regret is just a mistake...so learn from it and don't regret what happened. Things happen for a reason and there really isn't much you can do. Learn from your mistakes, your failures, achievements, everything. Your experiences make you who you are that is why we are unique. No two people are the same...if people were the same the world would be extremely plain.

It is amazing what can happen. Just in the past year so much has happened. New people have entered my life, lost a few friends (with friendship or died), graduated from high school, had so many experiences good and bad. It has made me who I am.

These people that have entered my life have had quite an impact. It's weird to think that just meeting someone...they can have such an impact.

      Does this even make sense?

My final thoughts...things don't always work out the way you want them to, sometimes they do, sometimes things actually work out for the better and you don't realize it right away, and sometimes things just fall into place. Always be yourself if someone doesn't like you for who you really are they are not the person for you. Never be fake...always be you.

      Push-ups -37
      Sit-ups- 50
      1.5 Mile- 9:30

I just need to improve my push-ups. I maxed out my run so I'm pretty happy.

Since last week I added 2 push-ups, 3 sit-ups, and dropped 20 seconds off my time. (It was still on an inside track.)

(Physical Fitness Diagnostic) It's the pre-test for the PFT. (Which I have to pass to keep my scholarship.)

1 min Push-ups = 35 (Crappy but my elbow popped so it hurt.)
      1 min Sit-ups = 47
1.5 mile run = 9:50 (On an inside track...can't complain about the time on that.)

I passed everything so I'm set for next weeks PFT.

I signed my life away today.

I am now officially an E-3 (Airmen First Class) in the Air Force Reserves.

I took my Oath of Enlistment today.

I had to join the Reserves because of my scholarship.

Since Michelle wanted an update I'll give you a real one.

College isn't bad at all. I finished my first week today. Nothing is hard so I can't complain.

What is there to say...Utah sucks. smiley6.gif

There is this girl...but we don't know each other that well. So we are just going to work on getting to know each other better. She has a boyfriend...but that doesn't mean we can't be friends. Maybe something will happen down the road. I hope so...but if not I'll live with being friends.

Is this one a little better Michelle? smiley6.gif

      What has been going on?

Not much really. I'm about to finish my first week of college. It's really not that bad. Just a lot of reading...but I'm a fast reader.

      That's basically it. Seriously.

Yes. My Political Thinking is Left Wing so I feel more comfortable with a Democratically Controlled Congress than a Republican One.
If you have a Right-Wing Controlled Congress or a Left-Wing Controlled Congress it's still going to be an imperfect system. Some people will be happy, some people won't.
Besides, there isn't much either of us can do about it for now other than debate and that -good sir- could go on until the end of time.

Well it's simply about naming a cross street so they know where he's living and will be voting at.

    • Izzi

No, but street corners can. Though it sounded like a lot of them chose to use the address of homeless shelters instead.

    • Izzi

Yep and many of those were first-time voters.

    • Izzi

In this case, it wouldn't be because one of the big things about the Obama campaign was its ability to mobilize and energize his voters. There were lots of new voters and not just among those becoming old enough to vote. There were people who could've voted in previous elections, but never did. His campaign worked hard to get new voters out to the polls, so there would presumably be a larger number of new voters as well as a large proportion of those voting Democrat.

I didn't approve of Congress' decision to deny the Bail Out but that doesn't necessarily mean that the Economic Crisis is the Democratic Party's fault. Prevention is better than cure and Bush's administration did nothing to prevent the Economic Crisis.

      How do you figure?

    • Izzi

No surprises there. I'm just wondering relative to the last election. I don't really know how they put those maps together. I don't know if having more voters showing up to polls has any influence on their numbers.

    • Izzi

You would have to check with whatever site came up with those maps to see how they determined it. Salt Lake County went 57% to Obama. I don't know how that compares to Kerry in 2004.

Technically yes but don't forget. We're in the middle of an economic crisis so the cards can be turned around on the doctors and the Insurance Companies. If Obama is careful then he can get them by the balls and bring it in...

You're very presumptive, you know that?

I'm yet to make up my mind on his plan for lowering Taxes. We'll see what happens.

      And why can't it?
The only reason Health-Care didn't make Socialized transition in the 90's is because Congress thought it was "Too Socialist"
Australia has Socialized Health-Care here and it works pretty damn well. The only problem is that the doctor's are under-paid and our Politicians won't pay them the proper amount because they want to pay a cheap price... Rich bastards.
