This is something that's really been bothering me lately, these people that jump into online shooters or horror games and go around intentionally killing their teammates, then laughing when said teammates get angry about it.
I've had this happen and I have to say, it doesn't feel that different from any other form of bullying. In many ways it's a lot worse than someone just spewing profanity laden homophobic or racist PMs, as you can just delete that, move past it, and generally people seem to accept that that's something that shouldn't happen, but this intentional teamkilling thing seems to be accepted and encouraged in most places online. I've seen countless people praised for "driving noobs" away from a game by doing this.
Complaints or warnings against the practice typically end with me being insulted and in most cases being told to "get off his nuts, he's just having a good time". Is it really harmless fun if only one person is enjoying themselves or if a lot of people have been turned off of certain games because of things like this?
I'm really actually curious as to how many people think this is a problem, and hoping to not be made to feel like an absolute idiot for hating the practice the way I typically am.
