More anti-Mac propaganda on account of the latest comic. It's funny, cute, heh heh, but the responses by all the freaky-freaky Microsoft sheep are just so saddening. And typical.
MAC USERS BURN IN HELL! MAC SUCKS! RIGHT CLICK BLARGARGHARGH!!
I love the argument "Macs don't get viruses cuz no one uses them! HAHAHA!"
So wait, you're proud the product you use gets viruses? Hmm, didn't realize having my computer crash every time I booted it up was something I wanted to happen.
      But whatever.
And don't ask me who neg-modded people on the first 4 pages, cuz I have no idea sir. None. Whatsoever.

      Gotta go.

Why did the Chiefs lose? Because Herm Edwards is a putz. Going into the 4th quarter, that game was still up for grabs. And yet Larry Johnson finishes the game with 13 carries. 13 CARRIES?! The guy took Jamal's single season carry record this year, give him the ball! And if he gets stopped, then give it to him again! You know how often Peyton Manning has a game like the one he had last night? Not counting playoffs, not very often. So take advantage of that! They played so conservatively I wanted to puke.

Why did Dallas lose? Sure, Romo slipped up the hold on that field goal, but it shouldn't have come to that anyway. They, too, weren't aggressive enough. With Seattle's defensive backfield banged up the way it was, they should have been hucking that ball up and down the field. And also, Bledsoe would have held that ball right.

Why did the Jets lose? They went up against the best. You mess with the bull, you get the horns.

Why did the Giants lose? Cuz the league is dirty and loves a feel-good story come playoff time. And they already did the 'going out on top' thing a couple times, pretty recently if I recall. So they're gonna milk the whole 'fag takes his team from the brink of nothingness' gimmick for all it's worth.

My prediction : Pats over the Bears, 46-10...... yes, that's the same score the Bears beat New England by back in '86.

That's my take so far. And that makes me better than Sean Salisbury. That guy blows goats.
      I have proof.

So these Rooster Teeth guys are funny. They make me laugh. They've done so on numerous occasions. I'm sure they're made a number of you laugh, as well. Otherwise, why would we be here? I enjoy laughing, it makes me feel nice. But this:

fucking killed me. For some reason, this is the funniest thing I've seen them do on this site. I can't look at this and not pee a little.
I love you, Rooster Teeth guys.

So yeah I've been a big fan of the Final Fantasy series since the first game. Me and my two favorite cousins used to huddle around the ol NES and watch our favorite character do as much damage as they can. Travis liked the black mage, Erin liked the white mage, and I was all about fighter.
With the exception of the japanese 3 (which has just been released for the DS I believe), I've played them all. 7 was the greatest game ever made, yet 6 was the best Final Fantasy (you figure that one out). 8 was awful, 9 was underrated. Then came the PS2. It was all about 'what can the new system do to an already awesome franchise?'. Well, not much, cuz 10 was lame. Seriously people, all it was was eye candy. And X2? Don't get me started.
I don't really count 11 because it is just another MMORPG with aspects of Final Fantasy, but I love it to death.
And now, 12. The last for the PS2. And I have to say, finally, a return to the basics.
I frikkin love 12, and for the simplest reasons. The new fighting system is wack (Secret of Mana, anyone) and I hate the job system (because there is none) and the abilities board is so simliar to 10 it's absurd (which was absurd in itself), but it's got it where it counts, where it NEEDS to count. The characters are great, with good development thus far, the music is good (but it will never beat 6 or 7), the big dramatic CGI scenes are wonderfully done, and there isn't an overkill of them, and the story, oh the story! Not since 7 did the story actually matter to the point you WANT to play the game. 7! That's like, 1, 2, 3...... 5 games ago!
In conclusion, cuz I'm done writing cuz I wanna play it some more, 1 was great, 2 was good, 3 is probably good, 4 was great, 5 was actually lame, 6 was OUTSTANDING, 7 was amazing, 8 needs to die, 9 was good but didn't stand a chance, 10 was boring, 11 doesn't count, and 12 rocks. If you were on the fence about it (which I'm sure none of you were), I'd say get it. You'll like it.

My grandmother just passed away last night. I spent my whole life hundreds of miles from her, visiting her only a few times a year, so I don't know her much, only that she was kind and loving.
In the same year I was the best man at a wedding and now a pallbearer at a funeral. Weird.

    • Stay in the game long enough...

      ... and everyone sells out.
Dane Cook hosts SLN tonight. I haven't laughed at anything SNL dished out in years. And I haven't laughed yet.

Okay, the guy who did Pacino was funny, but it went too long.

It's about 2:30 in the AM. I'm having trouble sleeping. I've been sick the last few days, flu-like symptoms, and I've had no energy to do anything, like work or go to school, thus I haven't been exerting any energy, thus I'm not tired. That, and my mind is racing. When you're bi-polar, you have very highs, very lows, and depending on your medication, mediums. I'm in a very low right now. My brain is trying to convince me that this 'single' moniker I have given myself is wearing thin, and I'm actually lonely. It's using arguments involving how long it's been since I've been in a relationship that meant anything, how long it's been since I've been with a woman in any way, shape, and/or form. So far, it has a point.
Is anyone else kind of excited for Spider-Man 3? I am. I was VERY disappointed in 2. It was boring. The isn't much chemistry between MJ and Petey, and I thought they completely wronged Doc Oc's character. But this one has potential. I believed, and still believe Topher Grace is a terrible cast for Eddie Brock, but I like Topher and we'll see what they do with that.
New Ninja Turtles looks absolutely amazing, as well.
Looking at my day-by-day Atlanta Falcons desk calendar, October 12th brings a trivia question. Mods to the first with the correct answer :
What player averaged 22.45 yards per catch for the Falcons in 1971?
Personally, I wasn't even born then, so I could care less.
Listening to A Beautiful Lie, the second album by 30 Seconds To Mars. Did you know the lead singer is the blond kid in Fight Club? Even after watching that flick hundreds of times, I still can't recognize Leto. But that's just me.
My friends were in Stamford tonight, drinking the night away, without a care in the world that it's only wednesday and most if not all of them have work tomorrow. But at least they had the decency to send me text messages saying how much they wished I was there. It's nice to be thought of. Even if it's by a bunch of dudes. I guess.
Speaking of Falcons, big game this sunday. I have a bunch of friends who are Giants fans, so I really need this win to save face. Especially after the pathetic debacle now known as the 1996 New York Yankees. They put on such a disgusting display in the playoffs, their players and flying into buildings to relieve the pain. Okay, that was tasteless and out of line. But I know a few of you got a smidgen of a chuckle out of that. I was actually pretty torn up by Cory's death, I was looking forward to him becoming a decent part of the starting rotation next year. Not to mention the wife and son he left behind. Tragic.
There's a girl in my classes I really wanna ask out. I try and talk to her, small talk about this and that everyday. But I'm 99.9% sure she's completely uninterested in me. With good reason. I should just go for broke and ask her something, lunch, even just to get together and study or something. I'm so attracted to her. Seriously, what should I do? And let's keep in mind I don't know how to talk to people normally, cuz I'm shy and full of self doubt. Quite the championship combination, I know. Although if she was on Myspace or AIM or something, I could chat both of our ears off. That's how I got to know Jessy. Through those two medians (along with the occasional phone call) I was able to build up a friendship with her that was just one physical meeting from being something serious. We had so much in common, really got to know each other, and really connected. Then that meeting came. And poof. I got a Ben Wallace rejection, sans afro.
But I digress. The past is the past, and we've moved on. And by we, I mean pretty much just her. I still enjoy dwelling on it during my low periods. And by enjoy, I mean tear myself apart. It's just what I do, it'll pass.
See? All better. Of course, then I start to think about Noele. And Angela. And of course Leia. Almost forgot about DJ. You always think about the ones that dumped/rejected you more than the ones you dump. I rarely think of Jess. I never think of Hope. I do think of Lee Ann, but only cuz we're really good friends now.
This subject sucks, move on. No one cares about your stupid past. They wanna hear more about how the Yankees got their asses handed to them. Fine. This post-season, being handled mightily by a team and pitchers the Yankees battered in the regular season, combined with the reverse sweep by the Red Sox two years ago has really got me to consider a new team. But who? WHO?! I'm thinking maybe the Angels, cuz Jared Weaver is the fucking man. I was gonna go with the Twins, who I cheered for heavily during the season and literally jumped up and down for when I heard they won the division, but after they played their ALDS in Choke City, I decided not to. Or maybe the Dodgers. They were actually my pick to go to the World Series for the NL, and this was way back when they first got Maddux. But alas, they got blown out of the water by that other New York team.
A Beautiful Lie isn't bad, but I liked the first album better. You know what's a great fucking album? Make Yourself, by Incubus. They're hard at work on an album right now, looking at a November release, but it won't be as good as Make Yourself, no matter how good it may in fact. Make Yourself is like, top 3 all time in my book. The Fragile is also top 3. As far as that 3rd spot in the top 3? Well, that's still up for debate.
Speaking of the Falcons, NFL.com has on it right now a small clip from NFL Films focusing on the art of the stiff-arm, and Jamal Anderson is featured nicely on it. He had the best stiff-am in the game during his time. I miss Jamal. I miss that '98 team.
      It's 4:00.
