    • The E3 hype train

When I went to E3 last year, I couldn't help but be excited when I saw the games with MASSIVE hype surrounding them. They were always the huge booths with crowds of people gathered around and it filled you with buzz! It was great smiley0.gif

Seeing Destiny gameplay was fantastic! Ubisoft needs to let developers see their stuff though, They didn't want me in their special *press only* club smiley2.gif

At the same time, I wondered around and was still excited, maybe even more so, by the smaller booths with less known games. One of them was Murdered: Soul Suspect. I thought it looked Awesome, a fresh new IP with interesting, hitman-meets-batman:AC gameplay - what could be better?

Now that Watch Dogs has come out, I'm finding myself enjoying it well enough, but I keep asking myself 'when is Murdered: Soul Suspect coming out?' So it seems the game that I hyped up myself has left the lasting effect rather than the publicly hyped games.

Turns out, Murdered is coming out 6th of June... 2 days before I fly off to LA for E3 2014. Typical. guess my Xbox is coming with me on my trip...

Who is struggling to play the Online mode of GTA V? I know I sure have <shakes fists angrily at the Rockstar overlords>

Over the past few days, I have been forced to grin and bare the misery of being the only one of my cohorts who cannot get past the goddamned Tutorial of the Online gameplay - it was either due to the game kicking me from a session (apparently the other players just did NOT like me) or not even being able to connect to a session... /sigh

Behold! A new update for GTA V has arrived - claims my xbox. My hopes sore high once again - the same stupid server drops and a whole new bunch of roadblocks took the place of the original issue, Grats Rockstar, along with George Lucas, you have an insane ability to give me hope and shatter that hope within moments of each other...

Mayhap one day I can play with my friends online, who knows? It sure is possible I guess.

So, I'm here in sunny California for a week or so, decided to pop on into E3 while I'm here (may as well right?) and I'm seeing some pretty awesome things. The Xbox One PS4, and I'm getting some hands on time with some pretty great current gen games - Beyond Two Souls looks amazing! There is this Square Enix game called Murdered: Soul Suspect that looks pretty interesting too. I even managed to bump into Ray & Jack from RT - all in all a good experience so far - one more day of E3 then it's off to Vegas for me :-)

Hi guys & gals - I think we need to pool together what games we have that we can play together - for example: Minecraft. Halo 4, CoD BO II, Mass Effect 3, FarCry 3 ect...

I'd like to have 4 guys tackle DOOM on Nightmare difficulty - anyone else wanna try it?

Aaahhh... The time old tale of 'boy meets girl, girl imprisons boy in the dreaded FRIEND ZONE!'

The amount of times I have seen this story unfold, You'd think I'd be immune to it myself, but no... I too have fallen into this trap. Oh well...

Here's what I say to lads like me -

      You like this lass, correct?

If you truly like her, to the point that maybe it's love, then you should want her to be happy, and making her feel guilty for not sharing your feelings. That doesn't mean cut yourself away from her...

Man up and be a cracking mate for her, Relationships can be screwed up by the battlefield of emotions you go through, friendship is easy!

Sure, it may hurt to see her with another man, but be the better man and let her live her life, and you live your own!

Be there when she needs you, be strong when she needs strength. Love goes beyond the boyfriend/girlfriend bond. People need other people... Don't be the prick that severs a connection just because she doesn't date you - she may still love you.

      People... we're a great bunch aren't we?

Working part-time at an NHS medical practice really shows me the finer side of humanity. People who would gladly throw their fellow man onto the flames just so they get seen sooner. Great. People who have seen that a slight ache in the chest and arm means certain death - and so they backflip their way into the practice and yell 'I am dying!' and then try to sue the doctor that disagrees with them.

Why can't people be a little kinder to each other? I bumped into a stranger while walking in Birmingham City. 'I'm sorry.' I said - 'F-you!' was their reply. Nice.

Waiting in a line - something Brits are good at - and some jerk decides to brake protocol and push in. 'There is a line.' I said, pointing out to him the 4 or 5 people he just buggered. 'What are you gonna do about it?' he said. Being a cocky punk I yelled over to the counter 'Don't serve this guy, he pushed in!' and he socked me in the jaw. Awesome.

People? Who the smeg needs em?

My buddies and I dabble in League of Legends, we suck ass - to put it lightly, but we have fun and that's the whole point. We are a band of 5 dudes so we don't cause other players to suffer or anything else like that. Last night we were doing slightly less crappy that normal, so our fun naturally tripled. All of a sudden, one of our posse dis-connects. The skype chat runs cold with silence as we wait for his voice.

All hope is lost, right? Another loss for Team Smeg - And then... I'll make a man out of you from Mulan roars through our headsets. Josh, the missing member of Team Smeg, howls the lyrics as his character rushes in to save us all from certain death. Such heroism hasn't been seen since Han Solo saved Luke from Vader in A New Hope!

We ended up taking a victory - who knew a soundtrack could spur us into the fighting spirit... especially a Disney Song?!
