No, not a sequel. A second viewing. It was still awesome. Some of the value was lost in that the really big shocks I knew would happen, but it was still just as good. And anticipating the great moments made those just as fun as seeing them the first time. Yay.

      "What was that?!"

Warning!! This is fairly spoilerific for a part of Serenity, so if you haven't seen the movie, you may just want to skip over this. Still, it's quite amusing, so if you have seen it, read on. I found it on a messageboard @ www.fireflyfans.net...

Funny story. I'm in the theater Friday night at 7:20pm. Sitting directly behind me is a group of elderly black women, not a'one younger than 70. Here's the conversation:

EBW#1 - Could you tell us what the movie is about again?
EBW#2 - Oh yes, [pulls out a pamphlet, begins to read the standard press description] 500 years in the future, [blah blah - she reads the whole thing very slowly, while the other ladies listen closely] ... between the carnivorous reavers and the all powerful alliance.
EBW#3 - Is it like Star Wars?
EBW#2 -Oh no! It's much better than Star Wars.
      EBW#3 - Oh good.

      -- after the movie --

EBW#3 - Poor shepherd Book! He was the best character!
      EBW#4 - And so HANDSOME!

It has been decided by me and other very influential persons that it is mantadory to rock out to Journey at 1AM every night/morning (depending on how you look at it). This law went into effect a few days ago. Make sure you follow it, or you will be hunted down and potentially destroyed.

I finally got my footnote in CofC history, and let me tell you, there are so many worse ways I could have done so. smiley0.gif

OK, so we moved in Saturday (like I mentioned), but our AC does not work. In South Carolina this time of year, that is pretty important. So there was a barrage of ResLife, Housing, etc. calls made, and they've been trying. Yesterday they spent many, many hours working on it, but every time they'd fix one thing, they'd find something else. Essentially, our AC was FUBAR. They decided to completely replace it this morning.

However, that left us with last night. They decided that we didn't have to stay in our room (because sleeping would be very hard... I only slept Friday night because I did so on a couch two feet too short with a large fan right in front of me. Thus, last night they temporarily moved us to a new residence hall. The only place four people could stay was in Berry, the all female dorm on campus

That means that I, Aaron D. Edwards, along with Cecil, Mark, and David are officially the first four males to be officially housed in Berry Residence Hall. Like I said, so many worse ways to go down in history. smiley0.gif

I got moved back in alright. I've been looking forward to this for a while. CofC: The best damn college in the world! smiley0.gif

The new roommate seems pretty cool, and my other two suitemates are both good friends of mine from highschool. Everything's set up and appears to be working, which is sweet. I'm pretty sure all I need to do now is put my clothes in the appropriate places and go hang out with the very attractive lass named Mallory across the hall. smiley8.gif

Yeah, we're gonna go eat soon, then probably have a little move-in celebration. smiley0.gif

      Oral surgery sucks.

My lack of site activity as of late can be solely blamed on my wisdom teeth removal. I haven't felt like doing anything other than lie on the couch and watch a dangerously high level of Star Trek, Buffy, and ESPN with bags of frozen peas on my face (they work like ice packs, but mold to my face). It's day four and I finally was able to close my jaw, but chewing was still less than pleasant. A few more days.

Went to Bank of America Stadium last weekend.... Here are a couple of pictures, just to spice up the entry.

Mostly this is because I feel the need to put something. I got the Metal Gear Solid II: Sons of Liberty soundtrack today.... It mostly rocks. I absolutely adore Harry Gregson-Williams. He's probably one of my favourite composers.

In the last few days, I've also gotten the Battlestar Galactica Miniseries and Season One soundtracks by Richard Gibbs and Bear McCreary, respectively. Both are awesome, but I prefer the Season One. It is just so frakking good.

Edit #2: The part of the post that was important is over. The rest is me listing other scores I own. Really I just wanted to brag about the BSG soundtrack.

Additionally, I got James Horner's Braveheart soundtrack, as well as John Ottman's soundtrack for Fantastic Four. James Horner's another one who does great stuff. His score for Wrath of Khan is probably the best Trek score not done by Jerry Goldsmith. Several weeks ago I got the Angel and Phantom of the Opera (Collector's Edition) soundtracks. Back in January I got the Team America: World Police soundtrack, also by Harry Gregson-Williams (songs by Trey Parker). Sometime last year I got Klaus Badelt's soundtrack for Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. Added to all of this are some random tracks I have from various other scores, including a couple from various Star Trek films, some from Titanic, and Requiem For A Dream. These are not even including my soundtracks that are songs used in films, not the score, which I have several of, as well.

Basically, instrumental scores are pretty sweet.

      EDIT #1
Wow, how could I completely forget my Revenge of the Sith album? Silly me. It totally owns. Went to Wal-Mart at 2:30am the day it was released, only to find Wal-Mart had no soundtrack section. Stupid Wal-Mart. I instead bought more SW action figures (yes, I'm a big kid) and still got it that day, though. And to answer Third_Angel's question, it's the Phantom from the movie. It's the "special edition 2 disc" blah blah blah. It's pretty sweet, let me tell you.

If there's one thing I love, it's beautiful ladies. But if there's a second, it's making Spoiler Warning images. Here's my latest (though admittedly not my greatest... I still think Daniel Jackson holds that honor):

I think Battlestar Galactica has seriously become my favourite show on television. I don't mean that I don't like SG-1, just that Battlestar has managed to pass it in quality of programming. The characterization is phenominal, the stories are great, and things are -- do I dare say it? -- believable. I believe that people would act as they do in the given situation. It's just a great show. OK, rant over.

What can I say? I freakin' loved The Boondock Saints. I found out a friend of mine has yet to see it, so I went to Target, bought it, and shared the joy with her (I swear this post will get to the point soon). Now owning the DVD, I am able to get screenshots or whatever else I need Boondock related, so the first thing I did was put my Photoshop skills to work and made a desktop that I am now sharing with you, my friends @ RvB. You may not care or like it, but I suppose it's the thought that counts. Plus, I think this is the best wallpaper I've done. smiley0.gif
