“I am sure you all are wondering what we are looking for, yes?†The small assembly nodded slowly. “All you need to know is that it is a man, you will know he is the one when you see him, for he is no ordinary man. If you should find him, alert either Oz, or I, then, Dogar will levitate a boulder. You will come to the spot below the boulder, and then we will deal with him. You have one hour, find him quickly, and there will be reward. If you don’t find him… well, you’ll see.†And with a flourish of his black cloak, Damich turned around and crept into the trees, Dogar in tow.
"These new guys you found had better be ready for this, Dogar. You vouched for their skill, but if you were wrong..."
"I know what I'm doing, Lord. I assessed them quite thoroughly."
"You had better hope so."
"So, what's so special about this Rad guy anyway? Why do we need him?"
But Damich didn’t answer; he was lost in deep thought. Concentrating on the day when he lost his best friend, 15 years ago…
It was a sunny day in the village of Redborough, Damich walked happily down the dusty road. Waving at the friendly villagers as he went on his way. He passed a countless number of old rickety houses, (this was the oldest section of the village) until he caught sight of the turn off to his friend's house.
Today was a good day for fishing at the pond, thought Damich as he rounded the corner. As he strode up to a particularly rickety house, a young boy opened the door and hopped down to meet him.
“Hey Damich, you have your pole, do you?†Said the boy.
“Oh blast, I forget that thing every time!†Damich said, smacking his forehead.
“’S alright, I’ve got me another one in the house, I’ll be right back!†He ran up the steps and through the door.
“Oh, Rad!? You got any extra bait? I forgot that, too!†Damich yelled through the window.
“Yeah, sure, just a minute!†Came a muffled reply.
After a minute or two, Radre (Rad for short) came running out the front door, holding a messy tangle of two fishing poles, a net, a box of lures, some bait, and a loaf of bread to munch on.
"Hey, uhh could you please carry a bit o' this stuff here, pal?" Asked Rad pleadingly.
"Sure," replied Damich. "I'll carry the bread, the bait, and a fishing pole."
Rad precariously handed over the items to Damich and said, "Well, let's see what we can catch today!"
Damich and Rad walked down the road and into the forest, the sound of the birds chirping, the creek gurgling and the squirrels chatting was like therapy for Damich. Relaxation washed over him as he walked quietly through the trees, it was almost fall, so the leaves were starting to change. Damich and Rad walked on toward the creek, amazed and captivated by the surrounding beauty.
Once they reached the creek, Damich set his things down and said, "You know, no matter how many times I go in here, I'm always surprised at how... (he didn't want to say beautiful, he was a guy!) cool it is out here."
"I know what you mean." said Rad, looking around him. "Uhh, hey Damich?"
"Well, fishing isn't the only reason I wanted you to come out here today, I've got to tell you something." There was a sense of nervous excitement in the way Rad was talking.
"Well, go ahead then." Damich said, wondering what was so important.
"I know what my power is." Said Rad.
Damich's mouth swung open in shock, for all the years Damich had known him, he never thought Rad had a power.
"Here, I'll show you." Said Rad, and he lifted his hand, closed his eyes, and waited. After about thirty seconds of waiting, a squirrel scurried up and sat next to him, then another, then a bird flew down to perch on a nearby stump, and another, then a chipmunk, then a beaver, strain was showing in Rad's face, he let down his hand, and opened his eyes.
"I think I have power over nature!" He said excitedly. Then there was silence. For quite some time, no one said anything. And then, the silence was broken by laughter.
"Hahahahahaha, Hahahaha, Hehehehe! Ohhh man! That's the stupidest power I've ever heard of!" Damich said through his outburst of laughter. "I mean, what use is that!?" Damich kept on laughing and clutching his sides.
"Hey, it's plenty useful, I mean, er, I could, uhh-"
"You couldn't do anything! Haha!"
"I could too! I'll show you!!" Rad was turning red with anger, he raised both his hands high in to the air, eyes filled with fury. Suddenly, an enormous creaking sound erupted from all around, and the trees started tipping this way an that, branches swinging everywhere. Damich's laughing subsided quickly, as he was overcome by fear, he got up to run, and as he did, a huge branch swung at him from behind, but Damich heard it coming and swiftly rolled to the right. It sliced right by where his head was, and kept going, it flew towards Rad, who's face changed from anger to fear in a heartbeat. But Rad wasn't quick enough, the branch mad a huge cracking noise as it hit him full on in the stomach, he flipped up in the air like a rag doll and landed with a splosh in the creek below.
Everything stopped moving abruptly, Damich ran to the edge of the creek, searching for any sign of his best friend. "Radre! Radre, are you okay! Radre!!" Damich screamed for what seemed like an eternity, until his throat was raw.
Damich slumped off towards Rad's house, he had to let them know. Right then and there, Damich swore that he'd find a way to make sure nothing like this ever happened again. Damich swore to find a way to make sure no one ever lost control of their powers again. And what's the best way to make that happen? Thought Damich, then the answer came to him. He would find a way to eliminate powers from every human being. Forever.
"My Lord," Oz's voice echoed in Damich's head, bringing him back to reality. "We have found him, my Lord."
Damich smiled cruelly, "Bring him to me, Oz."

I suggest you read this even if you read my other journal already, the revised version is different.
In Daoden, magic was life. Happiness and excitement were everyday feelings. It seemed as though nothing could destroy the bright future of the citizens of Daoden. That is, until Damich was born.
As has been proven in history, a person doing evil acts does not think they are evil. Damich thought he would save the world, when, in reality, he would send the world spiraling into chaos. The world's elite now rage war against Damich who, like many who have gone before him, mysteriously disappeared years ago.
Some say Damich is gone, defeated, only a minority believe otherwise. These minority call themselves, the Light Seekers.
The wind blew lightly on the Strak Mountains, rustling through the trees, past the streams and bushes, flying up the canyon, and rustling a dark black cloak. Today was not a good day for tracking, thought Damich as he sat still on the edge of a cliff, listening for his prey. He cursed the wind under his breath. How was he supposed to hear or smell his prey with this wind?
“Do you hear anything, my Lord?†Questioned Damich’s second in command, Dogar.
Damich ignored him, and listened closely to the rustling of the bushes down below, listened to the stream’s gurgle. He listened and shut everything else out. All it took was for just one twig to crack, just one branch to creak, yet all was still. He waited, sitting as still as if he were dead. After an hour of this, he decided the only way to find his prey, was action.
“It’s time to move, Dogar. Take us down.†Commanded Damich.
“But Lord, I-â€Â
“We’re moving Dogar, now.â€Â
Dogar mumbled a retort, forgetting Damich’s abnormal hearing, and ducked just in time to avoid being backhanded powerfully by Damich.
Dogar proceeded to levitate Damich, himself, and the rest of the Faithful. He grunted with exertion as he lowered them down below the canyon and into the forest. He slowly let go a within feet of the soft grass. Damich and Dogar landed with the grace that came with years of experience, as, quite the opposite, Damich’s body guards, crashed into the earth in a heap of tangled limbs. They quickly fumbled to get up before Lord Damich noticed them, but it was too late.
"Yes Lord?" they said nervously.
"How many times have I told you to be silent!?"
"Um, well I-" Hack, the slower of the two, said.
"That... was a rhetorical question, you dimwit!" Damich spat, clearly annoyed. "If you make one more mistake today, I'll show you in detail what I can do with my powers." He turned his back and heard with his sensitive ears two sighs of relief, obviously Hack and Skitz thought they got let off easy. Damich smiled as he turned, ran, and knocked them both on the ground with superhuman speed.
“Lucky thing they’ve got thick heads, wouldn’t you say, Dogar?†Recognizing his cue, Dogar laughed raucously, slapping his thigh, until Damich raised his hand for silence.
“Now,†said Damich as Hack and Skitz lethargically stood up, rubbing their heads. “We will split up, Dogar goes with me, Hack and Skitz are together, Oz, you take the new guys.†Oz, a long time Faithful, nodded quietly as he quickly assigned his group the different jobs.
