      Once again, an update

So yeah, been spending my first weekend here. To tell the truth, I've been overworked. 12 hour shifts with everyone and their grandma demanding results from a network that isn't even working. You can imagine what that's like.

Good news though is that I've been jamming with some of the other guys here. One of my buddies is REALLY good with the guitar, and I mean really good. I've been learning alot from him.
It seems that I'm best with the Bass Guitar and have gotten pretty good at it in the last few days. My fingers still hurt from all the playing (about 3-4 hours every night). Still practicing with the regular acoustic though.

Other than the fact that I'm saving the day here in Iraq, not much else is happening.

To Mason: Can you help me stretch out my hammies?

To Jacob: Goddamn.....Yuki does some pretty badass stuff.

To Kenneth: I am a dinner roll.

      To Kris: You've been antiqued.

      Okay....

Pro: There are trees here, lots of palm trees, but trees no doubt.
Con: Still an endless supply of sand.

Pro: I have my own room.
      Con: It's freaking small.

Anyway, I've been here in Iraq for about three days now. Not alot of time, but I thought I should post something up here. In any case, its nice to see that my workplace is not too far from my living quarters, so all is well.

I'm now learning to play the bass guitar and am finding it pretty easy compared to the regular acoustic (despite the extremely thick strings that require some effort to press down). So yeah, I might record some stuff.

I might also get a camera, so pics may be available (if I'm allowed that is). I have a good feeling that I will though.

That's it for now, still not alot of info as I just arrived, but eh, gotta live with what I got.

I plan on getting a camera and taking pics of stuff.

Lately, I've come up with some strange thoughts, some of which may come as a surprise to many. These are some I could never answer.

      First off, the word Buses.

We all know that the singular term "bus", is pronounced "buh-ss". However, the plural term "buses" is forever pronounced "buh-ses"

However, when we apply proper english to the word buses, we come up with the pronunciation "byu-ses", because there is only one 's' after the 'u' and before the 'e'.

Can someone explain to me why it isn't spelled Busses, or pronounced as 'byu-ses'?

      Secondly, Ice Cream

Many people believe that it is a solid, frozen meal created from a cream placed in under-freezing conditions.

HOWEVER! There is also a large group who believes that since Ice cream isn't completely solid, it can be considered a semi-solid, possibly even a Plasma.

Is it a regular semi-solid, or is ice cream really in a plasmic state?

It's kind of boring just sitting around waiting for my plane ride up north (Iraq). To tell the truth though, the heat doesn't even phase me anymore and it's all thanks to the rifle ranges (where I sit and wait in the sun), and the connex details (which involve me walking a mile and then sitting and waiting in the sun for something to happen).

Sufice to say, I'm going to be heading up in about two days from now. That's pretty neat I think, especialy after being here for about two whole weeks with very little to do. Tell you the truth, I've been here for only half a month and already I'm entertaining myself in the strangest ways possible (like shooting hand sanitizer at people when they're sitting on their bunks).

I'm glad though because the sand here isn't all that irritating (at least not yet). The small sandstorms are fun though, if you're not outside. To date, I'm also finished with the Haruhi Suzumiya Light Novels, and will probably read them all over again.

Mason: Moisture is the essence of wetness...and wetness...is the essence, of beauty.

Kenneth: This sandcastle is f*cking awesome!

      Kris: Moo.

      Michael: Haw haw! Lame.

Not much to say, although some interesting stuff did happen.

First of all, I have to say that qualifying with my M4 was a B-I-T-C-H, because since I was so used to using the good ole' musket (iow M16), it became a chore.

Next, I'd like to say that having your Hum-vee rolling over is not a pleasant experience. Just yesterday I had to sit in a simulation Hum-vee with two other guys along with a driver and a gunner, and have our hum-vee flipped over. Don't worry, no animals were hurt during the training session (except for a strange-looking puppy that happened to be rotting in the back seat). So yeah, that got me dizzy.

I would also like to point out that my days here seem to be going at an average rate for me. Not too fast, not too slow. Lucky for me, eh? Seems that my deployment is also going through some strange turn of events. For instance...

The Iraqi people along with some of our guys here in the states want us out of there by August 2010. That's great, but it also makes me wonder how its going to happen because there's also a strong argument from the other side. Others believe that if we ull out of Iraq now, the place could very well possibly fall apart. Since we've had troubles before with dealing with the Iraqi government, I wouldn't put it past anything that the place could fall apart. It's only my fond-filled hope that when we leave, Iraq can at least hold itself up for a few years.

Oh...and to Mason: 0100101001010111010101.....that's right, I went there.

To Kenneth: My balls itch, but the scratching post is too far out of reach (I'll let you decipher that one on your own)

And to Kris: Why didn't you tell me that the concrete in France tasted so good?

      well....that's all.

I showed up here about 3 days ago and the internet here absolutely blows. Luckily though, I think I'll have enough power to update and post here.

      ...yay...

Unfortunately for me, I'm probably not going to Iraq for a while. Just my luck eh? Oh well, extra pay here I come.

So yeah, just letting you know I'm alive and well.

I realized just recently that it had been ages since I came around to update my profile. It's been over a year if I'm correct (maybe even two years).

Yeah, I was so bored that's all I had to write.

      Greetings once again.

I am here to make an important announcement (depending on your priorities).

      *Drumroll*

I have posted the first in my series of Fatal Frame Comics. I am naming the series: Crimson Butterfly since that seemed to be the only way of really making a good title and at the same time not making it look like I'm killing a trademark (even though I kinda am).

One thing to note, it is meant to be funny to those who have played the Fatal Frame series, so relax if you don't get the jokes.

If you wanna see the series, just look at my pics to find them.

      Thank you.

Unix is a bitch to deal with, but Solaris can even be worse. The two just don't equate escept when you're trying to configure basic stuff like passwords and connections with other terminals of sorts.

In normal words, my programming intel is growing with my jobs even though my brain has been fried for the past two days due to my excessive need to write. In fact, my writing this journal expresses my boredom as I type and type and type.

Entertainment please! *dances a little jig*

Oh, and I'm going to make some updates soon on some of my development progress (god it's been ages). However, these updates may take up to a week, so this won't be too much of a drag.

    • Happy Christmas and a Merry Halloween!

I like vampires, particularly those that like christmas and other things rather insane.

My Christmas day has been rather uneventful as I find myself relaxing on the couch and watching thirteen + one episodes of Haruhi Suzumiya...again. Well, I guess I can't say completely uneventful. I am in the middle of playing Res. Evil 4 and I'm here now, typing up this long-winded journal.

So far I've found few things to truly talk about as I'm continuously getting prepared to get on with my computer work. I've also found some neat animation and modelling software that I can use and I've re-attained my Manga Studio.....so it's on now.

As it stands, many things may come my way, but for today it looks like this Christmas is gonna be a very very white one *shudders*.

      It's game time

Lets see.....County Market and Shop and Save are two grocery stores. Stuff is too bland here. But it really sucks to live in a town that no one can spell and and is tied in with a fat groundhog......known as "Punxsutawney". (We are not as stupid as the people in the movie)

But, SPARTAN45 and I are the only people in town that know what Pocky is....its kinda funny. We monopolize the Pocky market.
