Cruising thru my friends list, it seems a lot of the old-guard have deleted their profile or haven't been logged in for a long time.

This place has definitely changed! I might have to come visit more often -- hope all is well with the ones that are still around and reading this. :)

    • Soooo... What R U wearing?

      FRUNTCASTER

Hey there kiddies, old Frunt has been MIA again! *what a prick*

The economy has been making it hard on my family life... Lot's of my friends have moved away looking for work. I may be leaving as well? I haven't had work since November last year... There are some good jobs here, but they're either clerical, or medical... And I don't qualify for either.

I might have an opportunity to go to the East Coast and work for 5-6 months, and make some decent cash... I'm not holding my breath though. I would be away from my wife and boys the whole time. smiley2.gif

I don't want to come on here every time, and make a glib, whiny journal... So enough with the economy stuff.

      How have y'all been?

I see this place has changed a lot! Lot's of new stuff, features, etc.

I missed being FU last month I see? LOL Hahahahaha

Been on here since 2005... And I miss mah FU spot. smiley4.gif

So, catch me up on your guy's lives...

    • Mumphry passed by crappy Hyundai...

      FRUNTCASTER

      AP Newswire~

A California man was passed by an elderly woman driving a Hyundai Sonoma earlier this week. The man, Great 'Tamale King' Mumphry, described the woman as "Old and shit". The woman wasn't immediately available for comment, as it was believed she was at bingo, or talking to the mailman about her cat "snuggles".

Chevrolet spokesman Bernard Fremont, thinks something can be done if Congress approves the multi-billion dollar bailout--"This is a sad story", Fremont said in a phone interview. "What happened earlier this week can only be described as a tragedy... If we can get this bailout, we could focus on problems like this." Fremont went on to say, "With this money, we would be able to compete with foreign car makers like Hyundai." Congress is expected to make a decision later this month, while America waits, holding it's breath.

Senior Congressman Dick Meldritz (R-TX), when asked about the incident in California said, "We hate to see something like this... We realize how many people were adversely effected by this incident, and we will be praying for all involved." When we inquired if he thought there was something Mumphry could have done to prevent the incident, Meldritz was quite clear. "That guy needs to grow a set of balls... I'll be 75 next month, and I've never been passed by an old woman--he's what, in his thirties?"

When interviewed, Mumphry's neighbors said he 'kept to himself', but was liked by everyone. One of Mumphry's neighbors, Frederick Wilkinson--a WWII veteran said, "He's a good kid... He mows my lawn for me--and he does a fine job for a kid with his problems."
Wilkinson seemed to be in dismay, when we informed him that Mumphry didn't have Down Syndrome, as he previously believed.

I cleared all alerts. Sorry, but it would have taken a coon's age to catch up. I'll still skim if I can.

At least I can start off fresh, and watch you like a true stalker should... Oh, and one of us will be naked the whole time... <_< >_>

I called on that welding job today... It was filled just before I called. smiley4.gif It filled really fast!.. I was surprised, especially because I had to wait for the office to open back up due to Christmas. I didn't ask how many applied, but I'm sure it was a lot. I read an article in our newspaper today, that said for every job opening in the valley, there is 70 applicants... Where as two years ago it was 3 or less.

Well, nuff bout my troubles. Hope y'all had a blessed Christmas vacation!
Onward and upward I say! God will be leading the way thankfully... Cause if I had the reins--it would be messy... Real messy. smiley7.gif

Hey there... Sorry I haven't been around a lot. I lost my job about three or four weeks ago, and then I got some weird joint attacking, shark headed, mystery virus. It has the doctors scratching their heads, and me scratching my skin. In the words of Billy Crystal, I've been "mostly dead, but not all dead."

It laid me out pretty good for the last couple weeks, but I am feeling better. I'm scrambling to find work, but our local economy has turned to pure, smelly, crap. Another of our local industries just closed down the other morning (aluminum plant), and my buddy Jason lost his job. Local law enforcement are even feeling the pinch. So I may have found a gig welding, but it's not for sure yet, and I'm hoping to find out after the New Year.

I've been a horrible friend to you all, and I apologize... In fact, I give you all permission to punch Knuckleneck in the sack real hard!.. That'll teach me. ;)

May God Bless you all, and I hope you have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a prosperous NEW YEAR!!! I will try to get on here more, so you can smell the sweet, ummm--sweetness that is Fruntcaster.

If any of you are also struggling in this Economic debacle, my prayers are with you and yours!

      Merry Christmas everyone!!

      Love

Really busy. Plenty of work to do (a blessing in our current economy), lot's of cleaning/repair to get ready for snowfall and below zero temps... Get 4-wheel drive fixt in momma's Exploder... Deer and elk to kill... Votes to be cast... Etcetera... Etcetera.

PM me if I'm missing out on some good/bad news in one of your journals!!

      Later! :)

Real bad... So I came home. I won't get into the nitty-gritty, but I got's the screwed... By "friends" nonetheless.

So--I need to make a web page... I've never put one together before. So'z I needz to getz the helpz from some of you web gurus'. This is business related, not for fun... Although, it'll probably be fun too... Quit getting me sidetracked!!

Anywho, comments on how to get started on a web page will be promptly be paid in great admiration... And crack cocaine.

I will understand if you don't want the admiration. smiley8.gif

Yeah, that is understandable, but is there the possibility you could find a place cheap enough for the family to come to for that time too, home school the kids, be with them at night and weekends.

Very tasty. I've had their Hennepin and their Abbey Ale and I love the Abbey Ale. My tastes keep changing lately as I try different things but the Ommegang Abbey Ale is a current favorite. With strong flavor and high Alc, it's a sipping beer or a beer to have with supper.

No on the studded tires, it rarely gets bad enough to need that and only for a short while when it does.
Road crews are able to clear and condition all the necessary roads so regular tires will do the job. I just need the common sense to stay off the roads during the worst of it and let them do their jobs.

      AH... scratch that.
      Wiki to the rescue.

It WAS a domestic and everything still is run that way, except the owner sold out to Duvel Moortgat in Belgium.
And in one year they brewed some of the label over there to ship back to us when the demand got too large for the US facility to handle.

    • SloeBombFizz

Yep that beer was an import and sorta not either.
It's like buying a Toyota (which is very likely built in Georgetown, Kentucky) with the beer I was opening - I believe the parent company is from Belgium but they have a seperate corporation headquartered in Cooperstown, NY. The broke ground and built a brewery in upstate New York employing locals so it's a domestic company with American employees that may or may not be based out of Belgium.

      www.ommegang.com/index.php?mcat=2&scat=0

I'm not really sure it's owned by Belgians. Maybe it's all American but on the label it has some fine print about being a product of a brewery with a completely different name and their subsidiary for import which is also based in Cooperstown.
