By wednesday I have to know what products I want to make for my final in Baking Class. I have to choose one pie, one tart, one kind of cookie, make a small patch of choux (eclair) paste, and one cheesecake. On top of that, I also get to pull one mystery product. Chef wants typed a list of products, ingredients used (including garnise), and a three day production timesheet. I get three class days (from 5:30-9:30 pm) to complete all of the items. Production finals start on May 9th, continue on May 11th, and end on May 16th. Between the 11th and the 16th falls Acen(May 13th, 14th, &15th) and I'm going to be so dead for the last day of production. To finish it all off, I have the written final on May 18th. Apon completion of the written final I will then head straight to AMC South Barrington to wait in line for the Midnight Showing of Star Wars. Finally, I get to show up at work on the 19th brain dead because I don't plan on sleeping. I'll get home by 4am and have to start work at 9am. Next month will be hell, but in a good way =).

Don't forget to catch the new season of Family Guy this Sunday!

Last weekend I was in Virginia Beach for my uncle's navy retirement party. It was cold and windy the entire time except for Sunday. Of course, the day that I leave it started to get nice! No matter, I still had a blast. Oh man the seafood was to die for. You just can't get fresh fish like that in Illinois. For four day all that we did was sleep, relax, and party. We even had a margarita machine. When we ran out of rum to put in the machine, we filled it with champaine. =)

Yay! Acen is only three weeks away!

So, I went to Diamonds last Saturday with Joe. It was only us two because everyone else ditched. That's ok. We ended up having a great time. I bought Joe two lap dances and he got a free T-shirt. Unfortunatly for Joe, the stripper left a huge bruse on his lap. I found out that strippers smell nice.

Tomarrow I am leaving to see my uncle. He is retiring from the Navy and the whole family is flying out to see the ceramony. My boss is so pissed that I can't work tomarrow. You see, I had only requested friday, saturday,& sunday off. My folks told me that they were going to put me on a later flight so that I could work my shift. I found out two days ago that my flight leaves early and I can't work at all. I told my boss that and she said that I will have to be at work. I then talked to her boss and she said that I had to work. Finally, I spoke with the store manager and he said that if I didn't show I will be written up. On the bright side I don't think that I will be fired.

I am excited to be going. I don't get to see my uncle, aunt, and cousins too often. We are going to be staying at a beach house that they rented. We won't get to be swimming because it will be too cold but I'll still be at the beach. I'm so bad, I haven't packed yet. If it wasn't for last minute I would never get anything done.

    • Romeo and Juliet

So, I've been in Chicago twice this week. The first time was last tuesday. I went with my new boyfriend Joe to see a korian film Oldboy. That movie is awsome! It was gore, fighting, revange, and a twisted plot. If you don't mind reading subtitles then you should go see it.

The second time was yesterday. Last christmas I bought my friend Nikki two tickets to see Romeo and Juliet at the Chicago Shakespherian Theatre. We took the train into Chicago and walked to Navy Pier. Since it was such a nice day the walk was quite pleasent. When we arrived at the pier the first thing that we did was grab a bite to eat. I had a salad. We then walked around the shops and I bought an asian parasol. Since the theatre is connected to the pier all we had to do was walk down a hallway. Oh the play was great! After the play we walked back to the train.

About a week ago I was sitting up at Stake and Shake talking to some friends. Somehow we got on the subject of strip clubs. The group that I was with then planned a trip to one. So, tonight I get to go to a strip club called Dimonds. I've never been to one before. It will most definatly be a new experience.

Yay! I bought a copy of all 24 episodes of Freakazoid off of ebay. It came in last week and I'm about half way though it. I forgot how funny that show really is. Why can't they make cartoons like that anymore?

I'm on spring break right now. It's been great because all that I've been doing is relaxing. Like last night, I went to my friend's house and we BBQ'ed some round steaks. Oh god were they good. Yesterday hit a high of 71 degrees; it would have been a crime if we didn't BBQ. After dinner we took a walk around town. I ran into some other friends and we talked for hours.

Today I woke up, washed some clothes, and went shopping for some food. Of course, I did the one thing that you are not suppost to do when shopping. I went shopping hungry. The first thing that I did when I got home was wash all of the fruits and veggies. Then I chopped them all up and made a normal salad and a fruit salad. After that I made one damn good sandwitch. I used a hawaiian kaizer roll, sliced honey glazed turkey breast, sliced smoked gauda, chopped iceberg lettace, and slices of vine ripen tomatos. I ate that sandwitch with some leftover potato salad (I bought 5 lbs for $3 at Sam's club).

Well, I have to go now because a storm is rolling in and I think that I left my windows open in my car.

What a trip the last four days have been. LOTS of stuff was happened. Lets see, in my last journal I talked about Steamboy. That was last tuesday.

On wedsday I had to take two midterm exams. The first one was for my purchasing class and the second was for spanish. Later that day in baking class we learned how to make cheesecakes. I got to make an oreo cheesecake but we didn't have enough oreos. There was only one cup left and I needed three (one & a half cup for the crust, one cup for the filling, and half for the topping). So, I had to improvise. I made a graham cracker crust instead of the oreo and used the cup of oreo for the filling. We didn't garnish the cheesecakes yet so hopefully they will buy more oreos. After class I met up with my friend Joey Joe Joe at Stake and Shake. He was the one that went to Steamboy with me. At around 11:30 pm we left S&S and went to Dustin's house. After many hours of Halo 2 I left. I got home around 4 am.

My alarm clock didn't go off and I was late for work on thursday. I arrived at work at 9:30 am, my shift started at 9 am. I finished work at 5 pm and walked next store to Walmart (I work at Sam's Club). I had to buy some batterys for the PS2 controler. Then I left Walmart and when to Ulta to buy some deep conditioner. After that I went home and took a shower. I picked up Joey Joe Joe at S&S and we went to the bowling alley. Every thursday a group of people go bowling together and we wanted to try something new. So, yesterday was the first Oompa Lumpa bowling night. We all dressed up as people from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Joe was Willy, Kevin was t.v. Mike, Tim was an oompa lumpa and I was Veruka. Orginally I was suppost to be Violet but someone else took it (they didn't show up, grr!). When bowling ended a bunch of people went to Dustin's house from some Halo 2. Around 4 am I left Dustin's to drop off Joe and then I drove home. I sneaked in at 5 am and crashed in bed.

Today I woke up at 3 pm. I always have fridays off of work because I told them that I have school (but I don't ;) ). So far I've managed to crawl out of bed, get dressed, eat some cereal, and type this journal. I'm not sure waht will happen tonight but I'm sure something will. My only plans for today is to go out and buy a tart pan and color easter eggs with my family.

    • Steam Boy

I just got back from Chicago. My friend Joe and I went to go see Steam Boy subtitled. Actually, it's only playing at one theater in Chicago so we really didn't have a choice. The CG blended in with the animation very well. The attention to detail is insane. Unfortunately, the plot was a little dry and one of the characters was such a Asuka rip-off. However, it's still worth going the distance to see anime in a theater.

We arrived in Chicago around sevenish and the movie didn't start till nine-fifty. So, the first thing that we did was find a parking space. Aaagghh! That took about twenty minutes. Then, we had to find the theater. The parking spot we found was a ten minute walk from the place. There was a Border's bookstore across the street from the theater so, we hung out there. The first thing I see when we walked in was Shadow of the Empire by Orson Scott Card. I grabbed that and started to read it. I kind of freaked Joe out by both reading and keeping pace with him. That place was evil though. They only let paying customers use the restrooms. The doors had a token lock on them. So, we just waited until someone open the door. Joe then used his ninja skills to sneak in. After a while we were to Subway. We left there around nine-ten and walked to the theater. When the movie was done we drove to Country Donut out by my house. I bought a dozen and we talked in the parking lot. He dropped me off at home and I found some turkey (score!) in the fridge. It was a good day.

Tomarrow I have two midterms. I'm going to be so dead. On the upside we are learning to make cheesecakes. I've only ever made one. MMmmm . . . . . yum!

Yea! My favorite Japanese band is going to be at Acen! I so can't wait to see that concert. I love The Pillows! What's even better is I might even get to meet them. I have a buddy working security who said that he might be able to sneek me backstage. [squee!] Acen this year is going to kick ass.

Yesterday night I attended the Schaumburg Rotary Club's annual dinner. My family owns a bussiness and we go every year. I always have a good time, however, I never win anything. There are only 500 tickets sold every year and only 200 win a prize. All of the tickets are entered into this huge raffle that gos on though-out the night. In addition to the big raffle, there is also a silent auction, a treasure chest game (you buy a key and try to open up the chest, winner gets whatever is in it), and two smaller raffles. To enter the other raffles you simply write your name on a twenty dollar bill and put it into the drum. So, I desided to enter both of the smaller raffles (by being there I was automatically entered in the big one). Low and behold, I won one of them! Yea! I never win anything. I won a trip for four to California to see a live tapeing of .......well, you guessed it.......... The Price is Right! What makes it even better is the fact that I also get four backstage passes to meet the great Bob Barker. Woot! Then as if I wasn't already on the verge of passing out from excitement, my folks give me an envelope. In the envelope was an invitation to be a guest chief for a day at the La Titi De Paris. I was in tears. You see, I'm studying to be a pastry chief and something like this is incredible for me. My folks got it from the silent auction. Last night was one of the best nights of my life.
