If you're a fan of fantasy games/boardgames/digital boardgames or no someone who is, like this and share it about as Nomad Games are giving away 20 copies of their game = Talisman: Digital Edition.

Just follow the link and follow the instructions, shouldn't take more than a minute or two.

So, today is my first day working in the gaming industry. Words cannot express how stoked I am. I hope I don't fuck everything up.

Defiance a.k.a Mass Effect online. I've never play ME:online but I assume It's identical to this game. It's the first time I've played a console game that has had the online interaction of a pc game (the server is cross-platform which makes sense). It's a true MMORPG. There's plot, depth, some dodgy animation and voice acting and a massive fuck off big map. You get missions left and right, both solo and co op. You get time based missions, random occurrences, raids and matchmaking. I stumbled across a random event and it took 15 minutes to complete but by the end there were 5 other randoms assaulting the target because they stumbled on it to. It also plays quite smoothly. I was almost late for work because of it and it's been a long, long time since a game did that for me. It also cost me £1.

Not sure if it'd make a good game night as it's not really for the lulz but it is a cracking game and would be a solid group game for anyone in to this style of game.

My little lad is nearly 3. He's had an Xbox in his room for about 2 years because when we put him to bed we put cartoons on YouTube as it automatically plays more videos saving us from going up and down all night until he goes to sleep.

I've recently set him up his own gamertag and started playing games he can wonder around like minecraft. I thought the game he was likeliest to get his first achievement on was Lego batman as we play co-op. I fired the Xbox up the other night and he had 5g to his name..?

That morning he was up at 6am jumping on my head. To sedate him I put some easy games on for him - trials, peggle, Doritos crash course - so I could get a bit more sleep. Turns out whilst I was passed out he cleared all orange pegs and got his very first achievement on his own.

To the RvB:Scotland group. Maybe just @thePossum and @rossko15.

Sniper Elite V2 is currently the GWG game on the 360 and it's piss easy for achievements and hella fun. Multiplayer is tense as fuck but maybe a bit too slow for people who aren't a fan of shooters - I played a 25 minute free for all and my 14 kills were the most in the lobby, it's that kind of pace. I was up until 4am. I had about 8 'last games'. Waiting for someone to reveal themselves whilst not giving yourself up is brilliant. Lobbies work solo or team for kill count or total kill distance. The maps may be too big for hide and seek but I was thinking we could do a shooting range? 1 person is a designated sniper and the other 7 run around in the open like idiots. Sniper wins if the targets die, targets win if the sniper runs out of ammo? No waiting around, little editing to do for a things to do for the channel.

I got B:P on the black Friday sales from XBLive. I played it a good while ago before I actually got a gold account and just thought 'open world Burnout - pretty cool'. Having played the game live, I now think it's one of the best games ever.

I've never met an online community that is so in unison as on B:P. Initially the open lobbies online became my stomping grounds. An open lobby had a leaderboard of your longest jumps, most barrel rolls, longest drift - your typical Burnout stuff. I learnt the exploits and the tips and started doing my best to rule every lobby I was in (like I ass, I know). Struggling to get in to a lobby one day I started my own, started laying down records and the lobby started filling. Messing about in the menus I found the challenges menu and activated one as I knew you needed achievements for them.

My first challenge completed was to use the super jump on Big Surf Island to jump through the donut. Immediately 8 arrows on the mini map swarmed me. If you're in a lobby and a challenge is activated that becomes the target for the whole lobby. There are specific challenges for 3 players, 4 players, 5 players etc. But almost everyone is game. I've spent the past two weeks trying to complete the 500 challenges and I've not had this much fun playing a game in years. It's the perfect game for playing with others.

Finished this in one sitting. I think I'm as excited to see this played as I am for Skyfall.

If you guys are yet to play it then I'd recommend getting the latest game with gold - Red Faction: Guerilla. I played it when it came out and thought it was brilliant but that was before I had live, playing it this time round online is hella fun, you guys should check it out.
