    • HYPOCRITES AND KARMA

      GP_REAPER

There's an age old saying "Karma's a Bitch" and never before have I seen it in such force.

The most recent instance of Karma taking it's toll on a human being is the news about Former US State Senator Leland Yee getting jailed for racketeering and gun smuggling. For those of you who don't know Yee is a strong oppressor of video games claiming that the violence in the majority of games is the leading cause of violence in schools and society as a whole. Stating that we must protect the rights of the parents and our children from the poison that is video game culture. Yee is also the one responsible for pushing the Video Game Violence Law all the way up to the supreme court back in 2005, in an attempt to ban violent video games being sold in California. It's funny how everything comes full circle to bite you in the ass someday.

Well if that wasn't enough to get you pissed off, the mere fact for the reasons he's being jailed for up to 5 years in prison should be more than enough because, what a freaking hypocrite, and I should know, I'm a self proclaimed hypocrite. I personally think 5 years isn't enough for this piece of political scum but then again, I've never agreed with the way we deal out justice in this country. People who smoke and sell the least harmful "drug" in this country, Marijuana, get jailed for 10 years while pieces of crap like this that bring guns into our country and cheat their way to the top of the leaderboards (see what I did there) only get 5. Fair? If it were up to me I would jail this man for life and put a muzzle on his face so he can never open his fat greedy mouth again.

Video games have never been linked to violence, they will never be linked to violence and people need to calm down. At the end of the day, like always, it comes down to the responsibility of the parents. If they feel as though buying their 9 year old Grand Theft Auto 5 is a good thing to do, that's on them. It is also up to them to make sure that, that 9 year old understands the difference between fantasy and real life. Stop making excuses for everyone who comes along and F$%ks things up and blaming a medium that has no greater or less an impact on society as movies, music or books. In fact more people have been killed in the name of the God and the Bible than something like "Oh well we saw it in Grand Theft Auto and thought it was okay". A BOOK, made people kill other people all for the sake of religion. When was the last time you heard someone doing that over a video game? That's what I thought.

Enjoy your time in jail "Senator" Yee, I hope you rot in that cell before you even get a chance to think about what you've done.

    • Gamer's Platform Joins Operation Supply Drop!

      GP_REAPER

Hey guys, as I had mentioned last night, I wanted to get involved with this great organization Operation Supply Drop. You may have heard of it through the grapevine, BUT just in case you've been living under a rock and haven't heard of it let me give you a little tid bit info on it. In a nutshell every donation that is made to the organization goes to our troops AND allies overseas who really live everyday in possibly the shittiest conditions imaginable, with not much for entertainment. So what happens is all the proceeds from your donations go to supplying the men and women of the armed forces with video games and consoles to at least let them feel like home is with them. So with your support, we can raise the money necessary to make a solider's life over there more bearable by giving them something to look forward to after a long day on patrol. As I had mentioned before, this is basically an excuse for me to do more 12 or 24 hour live streams, but I mean come on, isn't this at least a good reason? :P So click the link in this blog post or on the home page of my site to help me raise $200 and give someone over there who's fighting for our freedoms, to enjoy a little bit of their own.

    • CS:GO Week on Hitbox

      GP_REAPER

So based on the fact that I've already gone 2 nights in a row playing Counter-Strike, I'm officially making this CS:GO week over on my Hitbox channel. It's actually been very fun aside from my usual anger rants during my match but hey, that's what makes me, me right? Either way I've been having tons of fun play the game with my buddies Jokki and Team and it'd be pretty cool if we could get more people. So if you'd like to join in on the crazy adventures we're having in this game, come on over to the channel by checking out this link here http://www.hitbox.tv/gpreaper, give the channel a follow and join us this evening at 6pm EDT :D. Can't wait to see you there.

    • Partnered on Hitbox. The Permanent Move.

      GP_REAPER

So as most of you don't even know cause I haven't announced it until now, if you have gone to my Twitch channel recently you might've seen the broadcast title telling you all to go to my Hitbox channel and give it a follow or SUBSCRIBE. That's right I am actually partnered on Hitbox.tv and I didn't need the numbers to do it. Hitbox recently revealed a new Ad Share Revenue system that they've implemented where they are basically able to allow anyone, and I mean ANYONE, to generate an income based on the ads played on the channel as well as giving the streamer the ability to run ads during the stream. You can take a look at that announcement here: http://blog.hitbox.tv/expanding-revenue-shares-to-all-broadcasters/. Along with all of this every streamer who sets their account up for partnership gets a Subscribe button along with the follow button so now people who come to your channel and would like to support your efforts can do so if they feel as though they'd like to on a monthly basis. I can't tell you how excited I am to get started on building my audience again on a platform that supports the people who have put the time and effort AND money into making this a career. So I'd just like to say thank you to Hitbox for finding new ways to make this possible and I can't wait for what the future holds for us and the Hitbox community as a whole. They have better servers, better tech and better ideas and I'm on board full sail. Oh by the way this also means that I will be back to streaming everyday now in the evening for 2 hours a night. The schedule will be put up on the channel but target times are 6pm-8pm EDT as of right now during the week and the weekends will be random start times but hopefully a full 8 hours Saturday and Sunday. As my audience grows and hopefully supports me along the way, things could change and I'm hoping for the better. There is nothing I love more than to entertain people and to have that be something I do everyday is just something I wish I never stopped. Paid or not I'm not going to stop doing that ever agian. As of right now, Twitch is a backup in case Hitbox is having maintenance OR...I'm just too lazy to start up the streaming computer and I just want to stream my PS4 or something. Either way, if you're curious as to how to get to my Hitbox channel, click this link here and give it a follow and I will see you guys over there. ;) http://www.hitbox.tv/gpreaper

      "Just Keep Moving Forward"

These were the words spoken by this great man who inspired many of us to do things we never thought we could do. You know, inspiration comes in many forms....sometimes its the people we know, whether directly or indirectly.....in either case we just have to remember where that inspiration came from....and embrace it. Cheers Mr. Oum. We will all just keep moving forward....for you man....for you.

Hey guys, this is my first journal in a while and I just felt that it was the right time to really make it known how I feel about what's just happened. There are no words to express the sorrow, anger, grief, and loss that not only I feel but I'm sure this community feels as a whole. There is no replacing the joy that was once felt and always be felt when this man cemented his place in our hearts and minds with his brilliant work on RvB and RWBY. And who could ever forget when he made his mark when he blew up the online video world with Haloid and soon after the Dead Fantasy series. Monty Oum has done in such few short years what most people could imagine doing in their entire lives, giving his entire mind, body, and soul to the fine vision that he had for some of our greatest and beloved internet series. His unrelenting passion for making great entertainment as well as his love for video games was astronomical in comparison to most people who consider themselves professionals. Monty was more than a professional, he was the true definition of what it means to be a gamer and someone who loves what they do. Never before have I been impacted by the passing of someone who has been part of such a huge inspiration to me. I wouldn't be doing what I do if it wasn't for him and the entire crew at Rooster Teeth. They have all been an inspiration to us all and I don't know where we'd be without them.....I did not know Monty personally and I'm sad to say I never will, but I feel as though I knew him through his amazing work and he is definitely a person I will never forget. So it is with a heavy heart that I send my greatest condolences to all three of his families, his wife, his parents and siblings, and his family right here at Rooster Teeth. We will all miss you deeply and there will never be another one like Monty Oum. Here's to you my friend, keep on truckin and we will all see you again one day.

So I just wanted to give you guys a little heads up, I have forgone my partnership with YouTube in favor of a (hopefully) better option. I'm here to announce to you guys that I have acquire partnership with Fullscreen Inc. Recently RT had done the same thing but I had been thinking about this for a couple days, before RT had done it themselves and I gotta say that I'm really excited. It's a great community and if you're a YouTuber who's struggling, like myself, this may be a great way to get started. If you do choose to join, I have a group based on my website created on there so don't be afraid to join. Just wanna give thanks to Fullscreen for the partnership. Here's hoping they take me places.

    • The Defining Moment

      GP_REAPER

Some good news people, first off I got my job back at Destination Kia (formerly Advantage Suzuki) as a car detailer. It's not what I want to do but it's what I have to do and it's only temporary because I just found out that my application for the Community Manager position for the Extra-Life foundation when through to the next phase in the hiring process. They accepted my resume and now wanted me to write a short story based on a moment in my life that was a real defining moment that really hit home. I thought I'd share that moment with you guys today. Hope you like it and just remember, this is a true story so it means a lot to me. Let me know what you think in the comments, do you think they'll take this story to heart and put me through to the interview phase?

"The moment in my life that has really defined me as a person I think of most recent memory is the moment that I am personally going through right now, no job for the last roughly 7 months, living on unemployment that's running out the same week as my birthday and I'm being evicted from my apartment. But out of this entire situation, nothing has stood out as a more devastating and defining moment of who I am what I must do in my life than when I had to put my cat of 2 years into a temporary home because my land lord didn't want him in the house anymore. I knew I couldn't just give him away forever because I refuse to give up that easily, so even though I know it's just for the time being, it still hurts all the same. My nights are lonely without him sleeping with me and my days are consistently filled with boredom because he's not there with me to fill my day with joy. Having had this cat since he was born, this is easily one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life, to give up something that I love more than myself, more than anything. I've visited him once since losing him and although I know he's with friends and in a good home, I knew that I had to let him know in some way that I was still thinking about him and that I haven't forgotten him. Leaving that day put me in the mindset of realizing that I only had one goal, to get him back with me where he belongs. When you walk out and turn to see your baby boy pawing at the window while he watches you leave, you can't tell me that animals don't feel anything. He is my drive to do better and he will be with me again; that's a promise I'm not giving up on."

    • Unfortunate News

      GP_REAPER

Well to start off, it's looking like my website may go down again just due to the fact that my PayPal donations have run up and I can't personally pay for it with my own money. Hopefully it won't go down for too long but we'll have to see. I'm in the process of finding a job and maybe then I'll get it back up but again, we'll see. Secondly, I have recently been told that I am being evicted from my apartment. I won't go into details but I know it's safe to say that the landlord is not a bad guy and he's allowing me and my brothers time to find new places for ourselves. Unfortunate to say though, and this is the news that saddens me the most, I have to give up my cat Rosko. As most of you know I've had him since he was a baby and I'm all he's ever known so this is going to be one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. I love him to death and I never wanted to do this but I have no other choice. I will make sure he goes to a good home with people that I trust and possibly know personally. As for the making of videos and live streams, depending on the job that I find, I'll still be doing the regular stuff but when it comes down to it, I need something that will pay the bills and my YouTube partnership isn't doing that. So be expecting of news in the future that may be about me not being able to make any more videos for a while. Anyway, I hope you guys understand that I'm going to do everything I can to keep entertaining you guys, but there may come a time that it might just not be possible for a while. Thanks and I hope to see a whole bunch of you at my future live streams.
