      Gangles

      Trying to find two images.

      1) The original of this (if it exists) from the fire safety PSA
      File does not exist.

      2) Once saw one of those black-bordered images with the caption that had Buffy sneaking up on the people from Twilight. Caption said 'when Edward sees it he'll shit bricks'.

If you find either of them I will owe you a favour and mod you several times. karma is always good.

      Thanks.

      Gangles

You don't have to answer this, just think about it. The only rule is you don't get to ask any questions, and must consider the facts as they are written here.

A train is out of control and racing along the tracks toward two people. You have the opportunity to pull a lever that would cause it to change course and hit only one person. If you do this you have saved one person, but if you let the other two get hit you would not have taken a life. In the second case you would have killed a person, but if the first case occurs then you haven't saved anyone.

      Which case bothers you more?

Why did I do it to myself? I just assumed it's what I needed to do. It started well and I thought it would work, but now I don't understand anything and it's getting really hard. I'm worried. I'll keep working at it because I'm not into just quitting, but I can't shake this feeling that something's wrong. I'm probably just complaining because it's hard. I don't know. I'll work on it.

I just bought an Xbox 360. This is a pretty cool thing in my opinion. Mostly because all the games I want happened to come out two years ago, making them cheap. Halo Wars will be tricky. RTSs belong on computers and not consoles.

I have never been good at keeping journals. I honestly have no idea what to write.

First week of uni went well enough. Going to get complicated though. Lots of nasty work going to sneak up on me; this is for sure. One of my lecturers talks heaps. I know that's what a lecturer does, but blimey. Take a breath.

It's basically been all orientation so far, which leaves me with nothing to report. Nothing's going on in my world really.

      Look after yours.

      Gangles

is a horrible thing in this country. Almost half my state is in flames, 173 people dead as of this moment, hundreds more missing (though cannot be declared dead until found), homes destroyed and the worst part is that this is all taking place in the rural part of the state. My parents and sisters live in the rural part of the state. As I write this they are a safe distance away, though it is still on my mind. Barach Obama and Queen Elizabeth have both contacted Kevin Rudd (our Prime Minister) to pass on their best wishes, such is the scale of the tragedy that it has not escaped their notice.

I amgetting tired of seeing photos of fires all over the newspapers.

As a side issue, I personally am perfectly fine, living as I do in the city of Melbourne. Just thought I should clear that up.

Praying isn't my thing, but if it's yours, I humbly ask you to send one to the state of Victoria, Australia.

      Thanks.

Trying to make a comeback here on RvB. Get a hold of me when and if you read this.

Yeah, that water issue sounds like a serious problem, hope it gets fixed rather quick without putting you out too long.

Your job sounds very interesting. I built houses for over 10 years so that sounds like a much smaller scale downed version of the building industry, lol. I just applied for a job not an hour ago online for a furniture builder, lol. You know, for shelving units, desks, chairs, etc.

Been doing good here, just looking for a job, which I've been doing forever now, lol. But I get unemployment benefits till through September, so I have that much time to find a job, which isn't easy I must say. But yeah, otherwise, I have my health, lol.

concerning that receipt on my journal. I was actually trying to show where it said 1 gallon of gas costs 7.99, lol. I guess I should have circled it. It looks like that was overlooked, lol.

Gas here is around 2.90 per gallon. 7.99 would be a huge stretch.

you would have been proud of me Gangles, I won an actual 40K game a couple of days ago. My little Tau made me proud.

Granted I was sided with a space marine player but we still mananged to take down an entire ork Waghhh as well as another space marine player. The game is complicated but still fun as all hell.

Whatever works, I'm just happy I have an army and a codex. I lap up 40K backstory like no other.

Since this is my first army I'm sticking with a traditional T'au homeworld scheme for my fire warriors. Yellow, black and brown. I just wish it looked cleaner, I'm learning new things every time I paint. Little things I can do that just makes my Shas'la look more awesome with every finished fire warrior.

    • Popov89

yep, I am Shas'O Popov. I got a Tau codex and firewarrior team from a friend who plays necrons now. Funny, I always liked the Tau but always saw myself as a Guard player. Ah well, least I have an army now.

I guess Bad Company is like other battlefield games. If you've ever played those anyway. I can tell you that the game is really fun, if that helps.

Wow! Yeah, that would be a tough pill to swallow. You guys out there must feel like you're in another world instead of another country.

They just opened up a big Amazon warehouse here in my city about a year ago. I guess we "are" somewhat of a world apart it seems. Hmm, makes one go "hmm", lol

I would think it will be a part of your life forever. It's been with me all of my life. When I think back on some things, it's seriously a mysterious wonder how I've been saved from many a demise. I hardly ever complain about anything because I know how lucky I've been along the way already.

    • C16H14N2O

      Mellow - mellow - lol

Yeah, you're so right about that. And reflections are important to show how you've managed to get to this point. And learn how to continue on.

Wow, that movie thing is weird. I figure they send it out by mail, so by the time they send it out, in reality, it should have already been there, lmao!

    • C16H14N2O

Oh yeah, you are ahead of us in time then, cause England is like 5 or 6 hours ahead of us on the eastern coast of the states.

Same here, nothing special. My wilder, younger days are over with, but it used to be pretty wild back in that day, lol.

I couldn't live with a connection like that, it would drive me crazy, lol. I still can't believe I used to have dial up for so long before switching over to high speed, lol.

    • C16H14N2O

Yeah, time is just flying by for me too.

Don't worry bout being behind in my journals - I don't know anyone who can keep up with them, so I don't expect anybody to do so, lol.

Do you still have dial up connection? If so, it's hard to view some anyway, probably because of some of the images anyway.

      No sweat though. smiley0.gif

    • TyphoRaame

I hear that. Man, everyone thinks Ultramarines are the top shit, but Dark Angels would whoop them with the best Terminators and the Fast Attack in the whole Space Marine army. Death and Ravenwing rule! I checked out Grand Master Azrael's stats and compared them to Calgar's stats and Azrael tops Calgar anyday!

    • C16H14N2O

      That's great!

I'll have to give them a listen once again.

You know, back in 1968 or so, some hippies from my home town turned me on to FM radio. Back in that time, no one ever listened to FM radio.. heck.. there were only 4 or 5 stations on there at the time I think, lol. Anyway. that's where Album Oriented Rock started and they'd play all the underground stuff that wasn't on any top chart list. It would be album cuts that never made it to mainstream but nevertheless it was what was "cool" to rockers back in that day. That's when I started listening to what is now called classic rock, lol. But it goes deeper, I mean some of the stuff they play on classic rock stations are still mainstream stuff from back then, so really, there isn't a station like that today.

Thanks for the hookup, that's great!

The reason I didn't find them cause I was only searching one website and apparently that site doesn't have them listed, lol.

Thanks again! And yeah JJJ was pretty cool stuff I thought back then. So they still play that format today?

    • TyphoRaame

Yeah, the best thing about the Dark Angels for me, is that they are probably the most loyal of the chapters (Being the first Legion to be created by the Emperor), so loyal in fact, that they will leave a planet to it's doom, if they even hear a whiff of news about a Fallen Angel, to hunt them down and erradicate the taint on their name!
      - Never forgive, never forget!

    • C16H14N2O

I didn't find either of those. Well, I only have this one site that I go through to search stations though.

I've always had an interest in listening to stations not only across this nation but worldwide. It's just neat I think listening to different localities. I used to be time into it years ago especially foreign stations. I did remember one from Australia I believe it was call Triple-J radio... I think it was in Australia anyway, lol. It was neat listening to the news and stuff too, lol. And sports was all about soccer, was rather neat.

aha, that explains it... I was never into the Star Wars phenom, lol.

Hey, what cool radio stations are down there in Australia. I have been looking up online radio stations and found some great rock stations across this country as well as others. Wondering if you know of any good ones that I can look up online.

It's weird how those groups do their touring. Groups from here will tour other countries in depth and seemingly ignore their own homeland, lol. I've always found it weird how artists and groups find success in other countries anyway so maybe that's how things play out naturally. Who knows.

    • C16H14N2O

I'd say they definitely lost their focus somehow.

It's weird how psychology and even momentum during a game can play a factor.

Well, it's not exactly a job exactly. It's only for a little cash, pennies per transaction and it's what's called contract work, meaning I have to keep up my own taxes on it, not like I have a boss who does all that like with a regular job.
