Hey everyone. So I haven't posted in a while. Mostly because I haven't had anything to post about. Well that isn't true. I did get a new job back in June of last year. And guess what, I love it! I work in support for the Property Tax Division of the Oregon Revenue. Because of this new job I had the option to get certified for Land Valuation. Though I wouldn't ask me to find out the value of your land because I still don't know what I'm doing. I did apply for another job with in Property Tax. Still part of support but it's more money to make.

I've moved on a bit from Kristin. Don't know if I had mention that we work on the same floor. I don't get as angry when I see her now. I even asked her how she broke her leg. I didn't meet someone though. I met her at our local barcade. We've hung out four times since then. Even played in the snow the one weekend it snowed. I guess I'm still hopeful but it's looking like we'll remain friends. One she's very busy and two, she doesn't know what she wants right now.

I did get a Xbox One, which I know a certain someone isn't happy about. But I am. Can't wait for MGSV! Well I can't seem to get Titanfall to work so I'll just go watch a Achievement Hunter Let's Play. Later.

    • Bioshock Infinite.

Friday night I rented Bioshock Infinite from Redbox. I didn't start playing that night though. Friday I also got my internet hooked up again but with some minor problems. I got the cheapest I could get which ended up being DSL. So now my modem/router are on the other side of the apartment from my 360. I need to get a wireless adapter for it now. Also my iPhone can't connect ... nvm, it just did.

So on to Bioshock. I beat it 3 hours ago. Good game. There's going to be spoilers. It's of course beautiful but it's also has great gameplay. Having a NPC who follows you around and tosses you items as you need them makes the battles much more fun. The tear mechanic is awesome. I'm a sucker for time travel and dimensions bending. Also the tears that show places in the 80s with 80s songs in the background was very cool. I'm just minding my own business and I see a red tear. I walk towards it and the tear opens up to CCR's Fortunate Son playing somewhere in the future. And this isn't the only place you hear music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The game is based in 1912 so there are 1912 covers of Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Tainted Love, God Only Knows and more. First one I heard was Girls Just Want to Have Fun. I was walking around and this steam piano was playing this very familiar song. Then it hit me. I heard this song on The Gonnies. Then the ending was pretty cool. Anyways check the game out. It's worth at lest one play through.

Of Rooster Teeth? Wow. Lets see. What happened in those 10 years ... Well less since I discovered RT during season 3 of RvB. Well there's the first thing that happened. Others stuff that happened are I moved out of Pendleton, I met a girl, made a British friend, got endlessly killed by said British friend over Halo, got engaged, got married, discovered micro beer, lost some family members, got divorced, fell for another girl but going to have to let that go and move on. It's been ups and downs but all this time, RT has been there for me to make me laugh and smile during the worst times. I just hope they'll continue to be there cause I am going to go through the hardest time of my life. Having to start over. People say they'll be there for me but the truth is they have their own life to deal with and I understand that. They also say thinks will get better in time but they don't understand that even though its been only 2 months, it's felt like a year. I hate being alone and I hate moving. I got to do both. But RT will be there for me and for that I love them.

Happy tenth anniversary Rooster Teeth. smiley12.gifsmiley13.gif

    • It's really hard to stay strong

      Garmana

Things have been very rough for me the last few days. Kristin is still living here, which is hard but also, I'm still not sure if I can afford living here either. Hell, I don't even know if I can afford to take a girl on a date right now. The next two months after she moves out will tell if I can or not. I will most likely lose internet but luckily there is wifi, though very weak, at work plus one of my favorite places to hang out at has it too, just cost money to stay there since its a bar haha. But before I lose the net, I'm watching Netflix's House of Cards. It's pretty good.

I can not wait till tonight. Every Sunday and Tuesday I go to a bar and play some free Texas Hold-em. I'm not very good but I love playing and it feeds my gambling addiction, haha. And tomorrow I'll be BBQing a jucie steak. I have it marinading right now. Peppercorn and garlic marinade with diced up habañero. It's going to make my balloks tingle. smiley6.gif

So I'll end with a funny story. A few weeks ago, when Kristin and I decided to split up, I was going through my PS2 games. I wanted to see if I could play them on my PS3. Unfortunately I can't. But while I was checking I saw that I was missing my disc for Final Fantasy XII. smiley2.gif I looked in all my other game cases, even posted on FB asking if I loaned it out to anyone. I thought I lost it, I was ready to buy a new copy. But a thought hit me. I started searching for Kristin's PS2. No where to be found. I texted her asking where it was. It wasn't where she said it was. Finally she came home. She told me it was in a Medicare box. That's when it hit me, I did put a Medicare box in the cupboard thinking it was her diabetic supplies. I found the box and finally noticed that it was marked PS2. I opened it up, and there it was my FFXII game in the PS2. That made me feel much better.

    • So maybe I should write something.

So it's been a really long time since I've written something. I'm sorry. I really haven't had much happen in my live that I hadn't wanted to share. Some of those things has been that Kristin and I became swingers and later just opened up our relationship. But now that's all over. We are getting a divorce. The short version is that we just couldn't give each other what the other wanted/needed. In the end it's for the best. But with that I'm going to try and be more active on her and also try to make more friends. I hope that by next year I'll be able to afford RTX. I could probably afford it this year but its the same week my family is going camping at a beautiful lake here in Oregon. It's a family tradition. So I hope I haven't lost anyone while I wasn't posting. smiley12.gif

    • With the release of Tekken Tag Tournament 2

I was reminded when I bought Tekken Tag Tournament with my new PS2, when they first came out. I was working in the Walmart electronics at the time. A customer came up to me and asked if we had any PS2s. I told him we were out. He said Kmart had 6 over the weekend and that he was going to go there next. As soon as he left, I called Kmart and asked if they had any. They had one left and said they'd save it for me. Sorry random dude. Survival of the fittest.

My wife is out of town, I have plans to see a movie tonight, we're buying a car this weekend, my grandma had a stroke a week ago and is in the hospital, I'm driving up to Portland to see her and I need to find something to eat before the movie. I probably shouldn't feel overwhelmed but I do.

    • Han did not shoot first!

      Garmana

May I make a motion? Can we stop saying Han shot first? Han didn't shoot first. In order for Han to have shot first, Greedo had to have gotten a shot out after having a blaster bolt burned into his chest. See as that didn't happen, there is no way Han shot first. I'll tell you all what really happened. HAN SHOT!! He was the only person to get a shot out. Greedo never got a chance to shoot. So Han Shot, Greedo died and Mr. Wuher (the bartender) had a brand new powerful liqueur. That is all. smiley6.gif

Hopefully that works for you :)

    • lttlecaboose

also I jecy checked the edgefield and it appears to be sold out... so I would try for a room at the hilton gardens down the street if that's okay? They have a double twin room for 74$

Oh i'll probably still stay with them, just figuring we're all going to be hanging out and such and I don't want to have to drive back to there's on Sat. night, would rather be closer to the action and such. I would say go ahead and book it, do you want to or do you want me to?

    • lttlecaboose

I also have some friends staying in a hotel nearby, hilton gardens I think down the road from the edgefield which we could also consider :)

hmm that link isn't working for me, which hotel is it, I'm not familiar with the edgefield so i was looking online and it says that there is a queen room, for 105$ but maybe that's not the right hotel...

Maker's Mark is TN Bourbon Whiskey, so we did a tour and saw how the whiskey was made it was very very cool. And we had a tasting at the end. I'm not that big a fan of whiskey, but it certainly makes you appreciate it more once you've seen all the work that's gone into it to be made!

I didn't notice any wallpaper with old people and clowns, but we didn't spend much time in the pub part. McMenimins always has crazy stuff on their walls. The Ram's Head (the one in the Pearl District) has a weird mural running all the way around the inside that's kinda creepy in place.
