      So its the holiday season!, The giving of thanks!.... a tough day for me because well, food... all the delicious food... I've been butting in double days at the gym this week because, glory of working at a school, i get the week off...So stay strong, enjoy your holiday, remember, even if you eat a bunch, its ok, make sure your just ready to work it off, and keep the rest of your days good meal days!

      WOOO #BuffBuddies I am excited. this couldn't have come at a better time. As you can see from previous posts i have been on a weight loss journey since January 2015, but actually taking it serious since April of 2015. so here is a quick update to that before I explain what i plan on doing from here on out and goals that involve the RT Community.


      I started at 425lbs in January, when i decided to take things serious in April i was 420lbs. as of today, Friday Nov 6,2015 I am 360lbs. I know a lot of you must me like HOLY SHIT! thats great dude, thank you for that. For me, it has been great to finally see results from my hard work in the gym. It only took a investment in myself.

      Small background with me, I've been living weights since I was 14, I learned form, form and more form from all my conditioning coaches playing sports and college coaches when i played football. Power lifting and agility drills where the main workouts for me.

      I had to learn how workout to burn fat, vs build muscles, it was great squatting 625lb but there isn't really a reason for it any more, so i got a trainer, and he opened up my mind to the hardest part of my weight loss journey, eating right.

      I made a promise to myself, that I wasn't going to let my weight take another year of my life to I've sucked it up and powered through the meal stuff and continued to visit the gym at least 3 days a week and now here I am sitting at 360lbs. a long way to go still, but the longest journeys begin with a single set right?


      Enter #BuffBuddies, a moment where I'm starting to plateau and I need a little extra motivation to get through the Idea of.......MORE CARDIO! As many times in my life Roosterteeth came at a time where i needed a "team" the most. it reminded me I'm on a HUGE TEAM! the Roosterteeth Community, Buff Buddies, Guardians, more importantly Response Guardians (Foxtrot Feet First!) and now I'm in the mindset to Get it done!

      My journey is far beyond 16 weeks, but in that time i wish to continue my average of 2.7lbs a week so 43 lbs in those weeks, but my goal is 240lbs. My old college football weight. and then from there another 15lb to be a nice solid 225lb.

      Im all in Buff Buddies! Be the hardest worker in there room, Sweat Equity! At my gym they call me The Honey Bader because IDGAF the fire is lit! lets do this everyone! whatever your goals are, then them honest, and work for them. Find your happy, and the rest will follow.

      Man! That derailed quickly, when I started the journals 4 weeks ago I got a new job. I have kept it up with he gym, just not as frequent as I was originally going. I have started to find a groove at work where I can make the time to get to the gym like i used to. Right now i am at 376lbs still on my way down but not where i wanted to be at this point. BUT life happens and the new job is amazing. So ill try to update more tomorrow about life and what not.

      So I actually got to day two. So this is where I'll kinda go over the details of my day. What I ate, what was my work out for the day. Now I would like to state I am no expert. I have been powerlifting since I was 14 ( which might explain why I'm 5'8") I understand times and trends change, I am not trying to reinvent the wheel. I get advice from my trainer, and I do much of what I know from working out in HS and my early 20s

      Now my work and school schedule are beneficial for me, so you can adjust to what works for you, I also didn't start here, 3 months ago I was shaking off the rust, and I had to add more cardio (aka the Devil) to my workouts.

      So I am able to workout twice today my first workout was my lifting and light cardio, and today was my favorite day Leg Day (#LEGATRON). if you seen me in person, to say i have big legs is a understatement. the workouts were:

      Leg Extensions 4x20 @ 120LB

      Leg Curls(seated) 4x20 @110LB

      Leg Curls(laying down) 4x20 @110LB

      Calf Press 4X20 @ 220LB

      Squats 4x20 @ 305-355LB

      Front Squats 4x20 @ 245-265LB

      Leg Press 4x20 @ 720-810LB

      Calf Extensions 4x20 @ 200LB

      and wrapped up with an hour walking up hill at a slow pace.

      then @ 7PM PST I went for a jog for a hour and a half

      Food, Im brining in 2400 calories a day and I'm on a 40-40-20 breakdown 40% Protein,40%Carbs,20% Fats, MyFitnessPal is a great at, and you basically just put in the food you eat and it helps give you and idea what your suppose to eat, I will go more into detail with my take on "eating right" tomorrow

      Alright, I tried to do this a few years ago but it didn't work. SO naturally I'm going to try again until I can get it done. Ive always wanted to be more involved in the site, I watch most of the videos but don't really comment or write posts. I always have the thought of " Who the fuck even reads this or finds it interesting" I said the same about my podcast The Fantastic Voyage, which you can find over on my website www.TheMexcellence.com, and people seem to like it. Ive had an idea I've been wanting to do, nothing original but I am actually excited about it this time!

      Welcome/Bienvenidos to Guillermo's Road to 240lbs (#RoadTo240), if you haven't figured it out by now I'm Guillermo, and I'm a big guy. Currently 387lbs big, and I've been working on my weight for about 3 years now but only recently have I actually taking it seriously back in April 2015 I was 425lb so things are going well. Im here to not only keep myself accountable, but also motivate myself and hopefully others in this journey.I feel I can do so because I know the struggle or being a big person. Ive been one my whole life, a little insight into my child hood, i was your typical fat kid in elementary school constantly picked on because I was fat, had thick glasses and couldn't t run much, on account of my athena. Fast forward a few years and thank god( or whoever your believe or don't believe in) I was athletic, and i loved football. So i play and life is going good, I've become very comfortable with my body, i was a very strong guy. 17 year old me was 5'8" 240 lbs my 3 lifts ( Squat,bench,power clean) were well over 1000lbs combined,things were running smooth. Then life happens and well skipping over the sad stuff, Im sitting in a hospital room, watching one of my Tios(uncles) die from kidney failure do to diabetes. On the drive back, i tell myself, I AINT GOING OUT LIKE THAT!. Thankfully I have a friend who is a beast of a trainer, and i made the decision, I'm going to invest in my health. I lose 40lbs before RTX2015 and as a second year Guardian, i remember how i felt after each day my first year, and i felt LOADS better at the end of this year then last. So that added fire to the flame thats already bring inside myself. My goal weight is 240 because i know the beast i am at the weight. This is just a introduction of myself, to let people get to know me a little. ill start tomorrow with what I'll actually be updating. any support is welcome tell your friends join me on a life bettering journey, or just get a head start on #Fit4RTX16
